Its Really Saddening That People Who Claim To Be Fans Who Love And Support Krist Will Spew Vitriol At

It’s really saddening that people who claim to be fans who love and support Krist will spew vitriol at him and the people important to him. Krist is having to come out multiple times and defend his right to publicly have friends. After being told to “leave” one of his friends behind. After being tagged by many so-called “fans” who find fault in a friendship he values. I can’t go a day without seeing hate (especially on Twitter) towards Krist, Singto, and Gawin. And it’s tiring. Fans can’t, and shouldn’t dictate what artists do. I’m happy Krist is defending his right to be open with his friendships, but it’s truly sad that he has to.

Fuck everyone who made Krist uncomfortable to be on social media. I don't know how to verbalize this. He was able to slowly get comfortable enough to really fully return to social media after all the hate he received before, all so he can communicate with his fans, and what he got in response was vitriol and cruelty for not catering to exactly what people wanted from him.

Being a fan is about uplifting and supporting artists, not wanting to control them and how they act. And it also sure isn't spreading hatred and harassment towards him for posting a photo of his friend.

And while I'm focusing specifically on the situation with Krist, this is really a major problem plaguing the entire BL community and it's disrespect for actors. In fact, I'd probably say it's the biggest problem, and the root of most of the issues we have. It's driving the hate that actors are getting for anything that gets in the way of the fantasy people have in their heads, whether it's the situation with Tay and Gun kissing, all of the different BL actors who have dated (such as Mile recently), or every time that people are bitter about people having close friends outside of their preferred BL partner.

I do respect the BL partner system for its pros. I follow many pairs. I can say wholeheartedly that I think there's a reason I think it's formed and is continuing to persist. I think many of the actors in fixed pairings really do enjoy it.

Krist in particular really enjoys being able to work with people close to him. Working with Gawin on Be My Favorite gave him a close friend he cares for, and he wanted to work with Singto again because he simply enjoys working with his close friend. He's so happy. He's repeated over and over again how happy he is.

But people had to spoil his happiness. Because the worst of how fans act when it comes to ships is this. Harming the people that they claim to be fans of.

Thoughts on The Trainee ep.2

As someone definitely watching the show from a perspective close to Ryan (I’m a student in university right now, and I expect I’m in the part of my life the show intends to depict through Ryan’s character) I really do appreciate how real it feels to how stressful the early stages of the internship are! The unsure, lost fumbling through the first tasks you’re given. Man, this show definitely got me into Ryan’s headspace. I definitely cheered with him at the end of the episode.

I’m really enjoying seeing the full side cast!

Pie and Pah as a dynamic being set up in the background was fun to watch. I’m not 100% sure of it, but I’ve seen some discussion on the possibility of the pair being a couple, if I recall correctly because of some behind the scenes? I’m fine either way it goes, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of the entire group. Also, I found it lightly amusing (despite my dislike of Harry Potter for obvious reasons) that they acted out the Ron and Hermione dynamic with the Wingardium Leviosa reference.

Though as a side note: not a fan of Pie this episode for making Ryan ask that question to Jane, partially for the reason Jane listed but mainly for making Ryan do it. I’m intrigued if her personality will be built upon more. We can also see more of her flaws when she’s talking with Pah about painting the swords and berates him about the paint, and then not listening to the explanation. It feels intentional.

I respect Jane. He’s stressed, trying to keep the project together, and acts fierce and frustrated, but both us as the audience, and Ryan himself, know better than to see him the way that the side character who badmouths him this episode does. And it’ll be a fun experience to watch Ryan learn more under his wing and for Jane to soften up around him.

All in all, I really enjoyed the episode and the potential future for the series it’s setting up. I think it’s a shame that the show is getting reviewbombed over on MDL, and I’m looking forward to next week.
