Let's go further. Mondstadt used to worship two god. One is the time god Istaroth. Story carried on the wind of time. You can find an old eroded temple of it. You don't even learn their name from the remnant of the temple, but from book in enkomiya, referring the 4 lost gods, Istaroth among them.

The winds carry seeds of stories, and as it's archon, Venti hear, and thus know, a lot more than he let on.

Every archon got two quests to further develop their story. Not Venti. He only got one. He's also the only one whose personnal quest didn't unlock a trounce domain.

No. We will come back to Mondstadt. And we will get Venti 2nd story quest. This is a certainity.

Venti both scares and worries me. The current storyline with Furina and Focalor just raised the bar when it comes to the Archons' lores. Before that, we had the timey-wimey stuff with Nahida. In between Nahida's story, we learned more about Ei, Makoto, and the vessels she created to house her divine spirit. Way before any of that was Zhongli, who, despite telling us a lot about his time as a god, still has secrets. Like, what's his contract with the Tsaritsa?

Most of the Archons at least have their basic lore explained. Except, Venti.

Part 1 of the Genshin story was Liyue. Mondstdat, the beautiful Kanto region of Genshin, was just a prologue. Stakes immediately rose when we saw the Exuvia crash to the earth in Liyue. But Mondstdat? Venti? We didn't know much until

Why was it specifically Barbatos? In fact, why is Mondstdat the only country specifically targeted by the Abyss? Why are so many khaenri'ahan in Mondstdat?

Every Archon so far has explored the nature of their divinity and their effects and connections to humanity. For example, Focalor and the prophecy, and Focalor's God-Jesus dynamic with Furina. But Venti? We just know he had a friend who looked the same.

When do we actually get a proper Mondstdat story? khaenri'ah is labeled "Chapter ????" In the story trailer. My guess is, after we meet all 7 archons, we finally get to know more about everyone's favorite druken twink. It'd probably be a doozy.

Watching cutscenes with Shiun's crimed height is very entertaining because he looks like the faceless adult in a kids cartoon. Shiun is the next Ms.Bellum.

It could be argued that since the demon of salomon are mainly latin name, the correct prononciation should be with a consonnant k sound on the foCalors. Also, without ç, french people would pronounce it the same. Fo-ca-lor (it's hard saying international phonetic without using the IPA)

So really, with current spelling, every speaker are wrong.

In all the localization her name is spelled Focalors, so that is technically the correct spelling established by the canon. AND THE CANON IS WRONG!!!!!

In all dubs the name is pronounced Foh - ssa - lor ; anecdotal as well, but given that Fontaine has heavy French inspiration, influence, and linguistic power in the region, it should by all accounts be Foçalors.

THAT BEING SAID. It also gets more difficult when you remember our Lady of Justice is named after Grand Duke Forcalor (you know, from the 12 Keys of Solomon?), which as far as I know, is pronounced similarly, but spelled without the ç.

So! In my personal opinion, given the written canon and the inspiration, the correct spelling for the character is, in fact, Focalors - but Foçalors isn't technically wrong, either, and tbh, if I was to write a text in French and use her name, I would include the ç.

None of the french speaker (myself included) I know use Foçalors, but this maybe a bit biaised, since I studied latin for 10 years, and they themselves at least got latin base down (we're gms, we know our basics).

Wonder what part of france they are from, or french-speaking countries, would be fun to compare.

If we want to be pedantic then it should be Fokalors because c is pronounced k before a, o, u. I can't think of an exception to it officially. We're oddly consistent in our prononciation rules for all that they are complicated.

But we all know should isn't is when speaking of oral langage. We all know what the official gif prononciation is and elected to ignore it.
