SYNOPSIS . lee y/n is sick of being played by the one and only park jeongseong. she tries her hardest to ignore her feelings, but when she pushes him away, he becomes bothered. why did he feel that way when everything was a joke to him?

some clarification:

y/n likes jay and he flirted with her on twitter

jay doesn’t actually like y/n but felt bored and decided to play with her

beomgyu knows about his past with playing with girls so he asks jay if he actually likes y/n, and tells her what jay’s true intentions are

even after knowing all that, y/n pretends to not know and proceeds to let jay flirt with her because she likes him

this takes place a few months before chapter one, and in ch1 jay knows y/n likes him but he doesn’t know she knows his true intentions

Chapter 006: Sunoo no, Sunoo yes

Sunoo’s plan was simple, he needed to prove that Heeseung had hugged a girl. He wasn’t going to fall for what Hyung had told him, it wasn’t nothing. He knew that his hyung had a crush on someone, and he wasn’t good at hiding it.

If the girl he hugged was that person, then Sunoo was a step closer to getting answers.

On the other Y/n was trying to get it together, this was her first day in college. She wasn’t planning on being late for the classes, so trying to balance the drinks and her bag she was running more like doing her best to move as fast as she could.

So taking that in she didn’t notice Heeseung walking in front of her, making her bump into him.

Taking the words of Heeseung in, it took a while before she went off of him.

She started to mumble sorry, to him.

‘I’m so sorry, Heeseung. I wasn’t paying attention where I was looking.’

Looking at her drink or rather what was left of them, a small pout made way on her face.

She had left early to get her friend some drinks since they all had an early class. But now there was nothing left of that anymore.

‘Why do you look like someone just ran your dog over ?’

‘Because now I don’t have any more drinks for my friends.’

A small laugh left Heeseung's lips, making Y/n glare at him. It starts to hit her that the both of them are still sitting on the ground with all her stuff lying around them.

‘We should get going Heeseung.’

‘Yeah, but let's get you new drinks Y/n.’

‘No you don’t have to do that, I will just tell them was too late to get it.’

‘I insist on it Y/n, I won’t take a no for an answer.’

Seeing that Heeseung wouldn’t take a no for answers, Y/n decided she should take his offer. She knows that Haerin would be less grumpy, and the chances of hurting Jake in the process because Haerin’s grumpiness would be less.

The boy liked Haerin a little too much, but even then she could be a bit mean to him especially in the morning when she didn’t have her coffee yet.

‘Sure if you insist.’ With a smile on her lips, Y/n stands up and takes her stuff, waiting for the boy to do the same as her.

‘So what are you waiting for Lee?’

Not wasting a second of it, Heeseung takes her hand dragging her to the beloved cafe on the campus.

‘For us to be together.’

He muttered it, making sure she didn’t hear him. Sun was left shocked, he had seen almost everything going down.

He was sure it was the same girl Heeseung was hugging last time. And now he is holding hands with her, there is no way that Heeseung couldn’t deny that there isn’t something between the two of them.

This time Sunoo took pics of the said couples, keeping proof for the case he calls ‘find who Heeseung's crush is.’

‘Sunoo what are you doing here, don’t you’re class start in two hours?’

Taking a bit by surprise by the girl he met just two days ago, Sunoo wasn’t expecting anyone he knew to be here so early.

‘Oh hi Haerin, yes that is true. I was waiting for a friend but it looks like they have other plans.’

The girl gives him a suspicious look before shrugging her shoulders.

‘So want me to keep you company ?’

‘if you don’t mind.’

So both Sunoo and Haerin walked while talking about anything they could think of.

Laughing with each other on their way to their first lecture of the day.

Unknowingly of the pair of eyes that were following them, or the little cracks that made their way into the heart of the person that was watching them.

“Hurry up Heeseung! What if Jungwon takes away the tarts before I get there?” Sunoo pleaded with a sense of urgency, urging Heeseung to hurry up and get ready.

“It’s a bakery, of course the tarts will be displayed.” Heeseung retorted while slipping on his gray hoodie. "Do we really have to rush for desserts?" he asked with an unpleasant expression on his face. But Sunoo just grinned and headed out the door, and Heeseung had no choice but to follow along.

He couldn't understand why they were in such a rush for a simple visit to a bakery. But he guesses a visit to a friend’s bakery wouldn’t be so bad.

Before he knew it, Sunoo was already sprinting towards the entrance of Yang's Bakery. Heeseung quickened his pace, hoping to get the trip over with as soon as possible. As they pushed the door open, the fresh aroma of coffee beans and pastries enveloped their senses. Sunoo beamed with delight, taking in all the wonderful scents that filled the air.

He rushed over to the counter with a wide grin, pondering over what to order. Should he indulge in a super sweet chocolate cake or finally satisfy his craving for those fruit tarts he had been eyeing for a week? His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of your voice.

"Sunoo! You're back!" you exclaimed, your eyes crinkling at the sight of his beaming smile. Your voice caught the attention of Heeseung, and his expression softened when he saw you. As he continued to gaze at you, Jungwon emerged from the back.

"Hello, thief. What would you like today?" Jungwon joked as he arranged croissants on display.

"Well, I did promise to bring my accomplice," Sunoo announced dramatically, gesturing towards Heeseung, who awkwardly waved. As your eyes met with his, Heeseung immediately broke off eye contact, leaving you confused.

“Oh, he actually did manage to bring you along!” Jungwon said in surprise. "Now, hurry up and get what you want. We have more important customers to attend to." Sunoo scoffed at his remark and ordered whatever he pleased, just to annoy Jungwon.

Heeseung awkwardly stood there, hoping Sunoo would ask him what he wanted. But instead, Sunoo thanked you and went off to look for an empty table. "Heeseung, go ahead and order. I'll find us a table," Sunoo said.

As he watched Sunoo walk away, Heeseung felt his nerves kick in. He couldn't understand why he was so nervous. Every time he made eye contact with you, he felt a fluttering in his stomach that he couldn't control. Trying to avoid staring at you for too long, he quickly glanced at the menu.

Fearing that he was wasting your time, Heeseung rushed through his order, stumbling over his words. You let out a soft giggle, which put him at ease. "Don't rush, take your time," you said with a sweet voice that made him feel more comfortable.

“Oh…then an americano and a strawberry cake?”

“Great choices! I love strawberry cakes as well.” You say while inputting his order on the register.

“Really?” You nodded and went on talking about that cake was the best kind. You held a conversation with him, feeling a sense of comfort. As you talked, you found yourself relaxing in his presence, forgetting about the stress of the shift for a moment. He found himself immersed in every move you were making—fixing the few strands sticking out of your ponytail, fiddling with your fingers, just everything.

“Oh I didn’t get your name earlier. Your name is…?”

“Oh! The name is Heeseung.” You stared into his crescent eyes due to the fact of him having a mask. “Heeseung…noted! Well as you can see, my name is YN.” You say pointing at your golden name tag. He smiled once more, nodding.

“Y/N…” he whispered quietly to himself. Y/N is definitely a name he should remember.

“Well, you can wait with Sunoo while I prepare your drinks. It was nice talking with you!” You smiled at him before walking to the other side. Heeseung felt a tinge of disappointment as you walked away to prepare his order. It was weird how quickly he had become drawn to you in such a short encounter, but he couldn't shake the happy feeling away.

Heeseung scanned the cafe and spotted Sunoo engrossed in his phone. He approached him, and Sunoo finally looked up.

“Took you long enough!” Sunoo says, eyes returning back to his phone. “Isn’t YN so nice?”

Startled by the random question, Heeseung had no other reason to not agree. Sunoo noticed the change in his expression when you were mentioned. Although he was curious about the reason behind Heeseung's sudden joy, their orders were ready, and he never felt happier.

Rushing to the counter, Heeseung quietly followed him.

Sunoo joyfully grabbed the tray of his desserts and hurried back to the table, while Heeseung approached the counter in an awkward manner. You noticed his presence and slowly slid his coffee on the counter, causing his fingers to brush against yours. A pink hue quickly spreaded on his face as he took the americano out of your hands.

“Thank you.” Heeseung expressed his gratitude and took the last item he had ordered, while you mirrored his smile and went to assist Jungwon in the back.

Heeseung continued to wear a big smile as he made his way towards Sunoo's table, where he noticed Sunoo happily testing out all the desserts he had purchased.

With whipped cream all over his mouth, Sunoo notices his happy state. “Why are you so giddy?” a few crumbs flew out of his mouth, gaining a quiet groan from Heeseung.

“Swallow before you talk, will you? But—nevermind, it’s nothing really.”

“Sure…” Sunoo wipes his mouth, observing Heeseung’s actions carefully. Avoiding his stare, Heeseung goes on his phone for the tenth time this day.

Unaware of Heeseung's cheerful mood, Sunoo resumed eating his pastries, while Heeseung anxiously chewed on his plastic straw, thinking about you.
