Jungwon, like any normal person on Earth, didn’t like receiving “I need to tell you something” texts. They always made him worry that he had done something wrong even when he hadn’t. This time, he knew what he’d done wrong; he just didn’t know what Jiyeon had to say about it. Had it been Intak, Seeun or Jayoon, he would’ve known what was coming, and he knew he’d deserve it, no matter how hard he would deny it if they confronted him. He was especially worried because Jiyeon had sounded so dry over text, when usually every message was riddled with emojis and terms of endearment which Jungwon had wanted to gag over at first but quickly gotten used to.

So there he was, standing at the entrance of their school’s café after school, waiting for her. He kept checking the time and tapped his foot nervously, looking around for her arrival. He was so focused on finding her that he didn’t notice Kim Sunoo walking up to him until the boy called out his name.

The meeting with Bang PD felt like it was never ending. You wanted so badly to escape; to run off and cry to whatever playlist was playing on your Spotify.

Music was always your escape in life—so it was no wonder why you became an idol in the music industry.

The meeting felt like a blur, with half of the time you spent zoning out, watching as paparazzi crowded the outside and security screamed for them to back off. The only words Bang PD said that you remembered were “Jungwon and Kyo stay away from each other” and “Y/N and Jungwon will be going on a relationship break until further notice”.

He wasn’t as angry as you thought he would be. Only furrowed eyebrows and a nonchalant face. It reminded you so much of Maeum, the exact same face she made when you had told her about Kyo.

Apparently, Jay was officially back from hiatus. That was one thing that was good about the day, and you were excited to greet him at music shows once again.

The person who took the meeting the hardest was Jungwon. He was the leader of ENHYPEN, so Bang PD was particularly stricter on him. He told Jungwon he was no longer allowed to meet with Kyo privately—because it’s clearly gotten out of hand.

That must’ve hit a nerve inside the boy, because his face turned red and even though he was wearing a mask, you could see tears form in his eyes.

He never felt that way about you.

Yang Jungwon could give less than two shits about how you felt.

And maybe that’s why you’re jealous of Kyo. Not because Jungwon’s quite literally inlove with her; but because she had two people in her life who would do just about anything for her.

Yang Jungwon risked his career to see her, Riki threw away his own feelings because he wanted to stay with her.

So when were you able to experience this love? It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair at all.

“Y/N, the meeting is done, you’re dismissed,” Bang PD says, waving his hand in front of your face.

“Right, I’m sorry.”

“No worries. I can see that you’ve got a lot on your mind,”

At least he noticed.

As you opened the door to reveal the cold wind and the dark sky, you were meant with a ding! from your phone.
