Individual posts have instructions on how to bid; simply fill out the appropriate bidding form and your bid will be logged on the bidding spreadsheet automatically. If someone has more than one auction, make sure to bid on the correct one!

Fandom Trumps Hate 2024

Hello everyone!

I'm once again participating in FTH offering Fanarts. I have two auctions. On the first I'm offering fanarts for Sandman, Teen Wolf or one of Tolkien's works (Hobbit book and movies, LotRs books and movies or the Silmarillion). On the second I'm open to any and all fandoms (just keep in mind that if I'm not familiar with it I'll need the bidder to tell me Exactly what they want). While I do have certain favorite pairings, at least one in each fandom (like Dreamling, Sterek, Bagginshield), I'm flexible and, for the most part, willing to work with my bidder.

a couple of important announcements before the auction starts

Bidding opens at 8am ET tomorrow (Tuesday, March 5th.) We’re excited about it too! There are two quick reminders we want to get out in circulation before bidding opens:

1. If a creator's offering post contradicts one of FTH's policies, go by the auction policies.

We have come across a couple of posts that make statements or offers that directly contradict the policies of the auction (e.g. offering a refund for defaulting on a fanwork.) We have corrected these auctions when we find them (in conversation with the creators themselves), but with over 850 creators we can't vet every word of every post, so there may be posts with similar statements that we don’t know about. In case of such a conflict, FTH's official policies always override what an individual creator offers. If you see something in an offering post that doesn’t match your sense of how the auction works, you can check our FAQ, our bidding policies, and our org policies, or email us to ask.

2. Bids placed outside of 8:00:00AM March 5 - 8:00:05PM March 9 will not be counted.

While the auction ends at 8pm ET on March 9th, some of the bidding forms will continue to accept responses for several minutes after that. This is an unavoidable consequence of using google forms: the script we run which closes all of those forms is fast, but it’s definitely not instant. This year, which includes nearly 1100 auctions, it will probably take quite awhile for all the forms to close.

For this reason, we want to be very clear about our policy about bidding cutoff:

All bids that register on the bidding sheet up to and including 20:00:05 ET on March 9th will be considered valid. All bids with a timestamp after that will be considered invalid. We cannot predict or control how long any individual bid will take to process; all we can do is to lay out a clear policy in advance and stick to it consistently.

Similarly, some bidding forms will open a bit before or after 8:00AM on March 5. However, no bids placed before that time will be counted (if we find them we will remove them). If your bidding form still is not open by 10:00AM EST, please email us.

Endless Courting

“What have you done?!” The Stranger demands as he spins around, usually blue eyes going pitch-black and seeming to pierce right through Hob’s flesh and straight into his soul. “I… I don’t… what?” Hob has no idea what he’s even talking about?! The last thing he, the very last thing either of them expects is when from one moment to the next, everything changes. The rain seems to have stopped falling, their surroundings go unexpectedly blurry. It’s like… almost like the world around them disappears (or maybe they’re the ones who disappeared from the world). Hob opens his mouth to ask what the hell’s going on exactly… when he notices something else: they’re not alone anymore. There’s a woman to one side of them… or are they three? It’s so confusing! “What… what’s going on?” Hob asks, blinking repeatedly, trying and failing to comprehend what’s going on (a part of him wondering if he’s dreaming, or perhaps hallucinating). “Hob Gadling,” The Stranger pronounces formally. “These are the Fates, the Three-Who-Are-One, the One-Who-Is-Three. The Hecate.” The Stranger bows his head at them as he introduces them, which prompts Hob to imitate him. “My ladies,” he murmurs as respectfully as he can (because what else can he possibly do?). “Morpheus, it’s been a while.” One of the ladies (Hob cannot pinpoint which one, exactly) says. “You look… agitated love.” Another of the ladies points out. “Well, that’s why we’re here, isn’t it?” Another adds, almost immediately after. Hob can barely keep up. He wonders if his Stranger… if Morpheus feels the same way, or maybe it’s Hob’s own humanity that makes him feel that way. “What…?” Morpheus begins. “Oh no dearie,” The Fates seemed to take turns speaking throughout the sentence. “This time… we shall be the ones to ask the questions.”
