Hi! When I'm very bored, I have a tendency to take on impractical projects. I'm bored relatively often. …Wanna see the pics? Current Project: Cooking Dairy Free Recipes Pending Project: Decorate My Bedroom

Who loves night-shots? Laur loves night-shots. I do, I do, I do-oo. I also got bitten by mosquitoes about a billion times while trying to take this picture, and eventually just gave up because, even though I wasn't happy with the any of the pictures yet, I couldn't take it anymore.

Sparkling Cucumber Water, because that's just how I roll. I'm a little in love with this pitcher, to the point where I'm thinking of going back and getting a blue one for myself. Red's not really my color.

My inner Martha Stewart so desperately wishes to throw tea parties, just to show off my Soda Stream and drop scones.

Feelin better today, though still all last-minute-like with the photo. I need to bake something, get the creative juices flowing, literally and figuratively. As for this guy, I still say my bird is cuter, but I guess he's pretty adorable in his own right.

Did No Baking Last Week, I Blame Alice In Wonderland And Netflix Through Wii. Made Up For It Today By

Did no baking last week, I blame Alice in Wonderland and Netflix through Wii. Made up for it today by doing something out of my comfort zone. I want to slowly ease myself into making pies, so when I ran across this simple puff pastry recipe in the new June 2010 issue of Martha Stewart Living it seemed kind of perfect. Not sure what to call it though...

Puff Pastry Pies page 36 of June 2010 Martha Stewart Living, or possibly somewhere on dufourpastrykitchens.com

puff pastry (this recipe calls for Dufour, I used Pepperidge Farm®) berry filling 1 beaten egg sanding sugar (I used raw turbinado sugar)

Make a berry filling. (or if you're lazy and uncertain like me, buy some)

Cut out 2 circles of puff pastry (any size); freeze for 15 minutes.

Cut slits across surface of 1 piece. Spread berry filling onto remainging dough, leaving ½-inch border.

Place slit dough on top of filling; adhere to bottom piece of dough with beaten egg.

Brush top with egg, and sprinkle with sanding sugar.

Transfer to a rimmed baking sheet, and freeze for 15 minutes.

Bake at 400° until golden, about 15 minutes.

These turned out absolutely amazing, much easier and tastier than I expected. I'm still contemplating going back and defrosting the second sheet so I can make another batch... maybe tomorrow! -Laur

Completely forgot about the Project until I was already in bed, so this is another late-night last minute shot. Well, not really late-late, only 10:45, but I really was half asleep. Tried to put a little more effort in, so it took a mini tripod, timer delay, and several takes before I was satisfied. Stupid bug screen and windy trees making things all hard and blurry for me.

The Nick Drake I found in the CD tray yesterday has been playing on and off since then, and my Ringneck enjoys soft music. I'm starting to realize that the short videos I capture throughout the day are pretty much exactly like the photos I take, just with sound and a little more movement. I suppose that makes sense, but it's interesting and slightly unexpected.

PS - The song is "Know." Track 7 on Nick Drake's "Pink Moon" album.
