Theo, on stake out with Stiles: Are we gonna fucking hold hands tonight or what?

Okay, here we go with Tara again

So I guess it's Nemeton stuff, but for whatever reason there's a situation where the nightmares get physical manifestation, and Theo, Stiles and someone else is in this zone, and the stronger the horror the more real the manifestation is, and while Stiles' (and I guess whoever is also there) nightmares might be a bit more abstract and maybe too varying and easier to physically run from (for the my particular purposes), Tara is Theo's very particular, very concentrated nightmare, and she does move fast, just like in a dream (it's not Cabeswater I swear), so she catches up to them all the time, and her bone chilling "Theo... " follows them all the way, so eventually Theo understands that she'll catch up with them anyway, and he stops, and tells others to go, and meets her, and she almost manages to actually rip his heart out but in the last moment when she was already tugging it out of Theo's chest, Stiles and their third party stopped whatever produced the effect

And they found Theo, who was barely alive, but healed and was all "I'm fine", and since it's more pre-Steo, Stiles doesn't say anything

They go home, and for REASONS, obviously, Theo sleeps on Stiles' floor, so they go to bed, and Stiles of course can't sleep

Amd he sees Theo laying there in weak moonlight, tense and curled up in himselve, staring intently in the dark, eyes shining with dread and seemingly not focusing on anything or trying focus on everything at once, slightly jumping from every sound

So he calls him quietly, whispers his name, wanting to comfort him a bit

And Theo basically jumps, if he wasn't lying on the floor, he probably would've fallen off the bed, going straight into flight or fight mode, not fully comprehending reality

But he's quick to gain some little piece of control back, so he says that he's fine, and he can go sleep in the living room if Stiles can't sleep because of him

But Stiles says no, and slowly talking in a soothing voice comes closer, kneels on front of Theo, saying that it's alright, everything lbs fine, and eventually he gets a hand on Theo's arm, and pulls him up, telling some pretty generic and average story about how he went to sleep with his parents when he was too scared as a child, and how it always helped to have someone's warmth and solidity around, so he tugs him to the bed and makes Theo lie down on it, and he just keeps a hand on Theo's arm all the time, which is a bit uncomfortable, maybe rubbing it up and down, maybe just being there

And it actually helps, they both fall asleep
