i honestly can’t wait to see our doom couple in love, like properly, openly in love, being a couple, teasing each other, bickering as they already do but as lovers, big bang 2.0 is going to have to wait, i deserve this

I really love the progression of their love. Since the day they’ve met they’re so open with each other (even if their intention is to hurt and not actually create a bond) but they’re always very straightforward with how they want to do things. “Should we kiss?” “Can I wish for you to love me?” “Love me to the point you want to destroy the world for me” “I don’t think I can be happy once you disappear” etc. But there’s this one thing about Dong Kyung… she doesn’t let people see how much she’s suffering. I’ve said this earlier on, that she controls what emotions she is showing, and how she wants everyone to be ok because she hates being a burden to people. And we see that this whole episode Myul Mang just can’t with it anymore. She taught him how to read people (not only their minds) and he knows how to read her so well, he is always doing little things for her (helping at the subway, taking her to the beach, the dream, the parents) and those are all things she needs but can’t articulate. She is not used to asking for things, only to give them. It’s so obvious that her dying wish is to make people happy, buying presents for all of them, saying she loves them, caring for each one of them. Even tiny angry deity received a gift and words of comfort. She is the one dying, but she is the one making sure people are ok, not because the people in her life are not trying to, they are! but she won’t let them in. She pushes people away, she avoids contact, she tries to isolate herself in order to not make anyone hurt… BUT Myul Mang was so tired of this behavior in this episode. I feel like first he didn’t like her, so why care? And once he started caring (I’m weak for ‘my love began when I started pitying you trope) the first thing he thought of doing was comforting her. And now that they are in love he can’t just let her be her self-destructive self, he knows she needs to talk. To let it out. He didn’t need to hear she was sad, scared, that she wants to live, he knows that already. But he wanted her to say it, to acknowledge that out loud, for her own good. She spent her whole life stopping herself from crying until now. She would die and not shed a single tear if it weren’t for him. And god I love this because they actually make each other better (he is human because of her, she is living because of him). Anyways, I just love how communication is the foundation of their relationship and how much they know each other just because they pay attention.

I watch kdramas because it fills the longing I have to be in love. To have a crush on someone where all the songs make sense. It fills that void if only for an episode where I’m not reminded that I miss what it feels like to like someone and to be liked in return.
