in apho 1 you have the dialogue option to compliment his handwriting and if you do the mood immediately gets extremely awkward and it makes you choose another option

as far as i can tell does not actually need glasses and just wears them so he can dramatically whip them off at moments of conflict and do the anime glasses thing

has the world’s worst fashion sense and i will not let this be erased by the fact that they yassified him for hsr. i remember the stigmata art, mihoyo. i remember his ugly hat from second eruption.

he lost carole. in space. they have yet to mention this in hsr. genuinely did they just forget she was in the original trailers. anyway yeah that one time he he lost a whole ass child in space. not even the only whole ass child he’s lost (the other one was his actual legal son)

it’s actually named after the other welt but the real life empire state building is sort of named after him

yeah he died like 3 times but he got better (for a certain quantity of better). also got impaled twice in 24 hours and had several limbs cut off. he’s having the worst life of his life

has the actual constitution of a sickly victorian child. spends a solid 50% of his appearances in hi3 coughing up blood. this has never stopped him from being an idiot. “don’t use blade skill you’re hurting him!!!1!1!1” don’t use welt’s anything he needs to take a nap. he has so many separate death flags that they’ve cancelled out to make him functionally immortal

while not canon (and also something a lot of hsr onlys know about now because of 2023’s honkai carnival only being like a month before hsr’s release), i feel like it’s impossible not to mention that a fan animation of him crossdressing as an idol for money where he was voiced by a nsfw gnshin audio creator was endorsed by hyv and referenced in official art. and then placed in a official ad campaign and displayed in times square.

went undercover at the organisation run by aforementioned guy while using his full name. was not caught. somehow

had his job stolen by an evil russian milf while he was doing that (she’s in hsr! guess who)

had a weird difficult not to read as vaguely homoerotic thing with a 50000 year old ai who puppets around the body of aforementioned dead guy. this will be relevant to hsr lore
