I finally finished this piece. I changed the hair and the eyebrows from my last post... And I feel like I need to improve my coloring skills.
A while ago I drew Mairon and since then I’ve had multiple attempts to redraw this. I thought this was pretty good.
Had to go back to my roots at some point :)))

An idea that I really like is that Mairon was just… fucking horny all the time. Just makes sense.
Betraying the Valar? Meh. Hot Melkor to boss around? Oh yesssss
Concealing your power to pass as an elf? Meh. Very hot descendent of very hot Fëanor looking at you with admiration? Oh yesssss
Imprisoning some random elves and a man? Meh. Very hot Blondie™ at your mercy? Oh yesssssss
Pretending to care about Númenorians to fool them into worshipping Morgoth? Meh. A king on his knees for you? Oh yesssssss

*BAZOOKA MODE I UNDERSTAND THREE QUARTERS AND AM NOT READING THE CHAPTERS IN THE ORDER BECAUSE I WANT TO READ THE NIRNAETH ARNOEDIAD PART FIRST*
All right this is too funny I have to (not gonna write it in the usual very literary Tolkien style because I personally find it funnier this way)
“ADA! YOU CANNOT DO THIS! I’M NOT GOING! IF I GO, MY LIFE WILL BE OFFICIALLY OVER!”
Curufin turned to his son, sighing.
“For the last time, Cele, you do not have a choice. Now pack your bags.”
“NO! I’M STAYING HERE WITH GREAT UNCLE FINARFIN! AT LEAST HE UNDERSTANDS ME!”
“He’s just too polite to tell you to shut up. Now get ready.”
Curufin leaves, slamming the door to his son’s room. Sensing a nearby presence, he lifts his head to see his oldest brother.
“Cele’s causing problems again?”
Usually, Curufin would get mad, saying that the way he raised his son was his own, but he was just so exhausted.
“Yeah, he wants to stay. With Finarfin.”
Maedhros stifles a laugh.
“Don’t let Ada hear that. He’d get so mad.”
“Not as much as me. That child thinks he knows everything.”
“Well, none of us really do. Maybe he’s wiser than us.”
“Him? The kid who just last week had a breakdown because he couldn’t find his favorite hammer?”
“Good point. But Ada had one just like that just last month.”
Curufin laughs, agreeing. He doesn’t often talk with his old brother. It’s nice.
“I hope he doesn’t turn out like our beloved father. Eru help me if that’s ever the case.”
“Want me to talk to him?”
“Huh?”
“Talk to Cele? Maybe I can convince him to change his mind.”
“Ha! Good luck with that. Sometimes, I wonder why I ever had a kid. So troublesome.”
Maedhros smiles. He knows that Curufin loves his son more than anything, despite the kid’s attitude.
The tall redhead enters the room, and Curufin stays behind, listening at the door.
“GET YOUR STUFF READY NOW! I’L BE BACK IN TEN MINUTES AND IF EVERYTHING’S NOT READY, I’LL TELL YOUR GRANDFATHER THAT YOU’D RATHER BE WITH FINARFIN!”
Curufin smiles, slightly surprised. It’s been a while since Maitimo last yelled at someone. It’s really rare, but Curufin recalls it being when the more troublesome members of the family (aka Celegorm, Caranthir, Amrod and Amras) made a mess or got into trouble. In a way, it warms Curufin’s heart to think that his brother would stop being nice just for him.
Just like if thinking about him had somehow summoned him, Celegorm appears.
“DO MY EARS DECEIVE ME OR IS MAE-MAE SCREAMING AT SOMEONE???”
Curufin’s suddenly overwhelmed by a wave of annoyance. “Your ears aren’t deceived, and you’re the one screaming right now.”
At that moment, Maedhros leaves the room.
“I think that he’s packing now.”
“Thanks.”
“You’re welcome. We’re brothers, after all, and he’s my family. No one gets left behind. You guys and I, that’s forever. You may annoy me, but you’re my family, and I’d sooner die than leave one of you behind.”
I need more fics about dramatic teenage Celebrimbor having a breakdown because his dad is making him move to another continent for stupid family revenge reasons and this is going to absolutely ruin his life
