besties no one thinks that bts are not taking a break anymore bc of hybe’s announcement like i think y’all are confused. to me it just cleared up that they’re still going to be doing group activities, while focusing on solo music and promos instead of group music. to me (and i assume, a lot of others) a hiatus is something a lot more final. i genuinely assumed that we wouldn’t be seeing them together again for a long time. people are allowed to be relieved that the break won’t be as dramatic and final as it sounded and can still acknowledge that bts shared a lot with us about their creative struggles today and be glad that they are taking steps to pursue their own interests.

Jungkook wonders why his hyungs declined his offer to go camping. Like, how could they not want to camp out on a snowy winter’s eve, to freeze their asses off smack bang in the middle of nowhere. All the youngest one knows is that it’s the perfect time to camp out.  

As much as Jungkook liked being alone, he also got bored very quickly. He had spent the past few hours trying to get a fire going; whenever there was even the slightest flicker of light, he had perked up excitedly, but it went out in almost an instant. He blames it on the cold and the wind ultimately. He gives in on trying to do it without a match but has to give in and throw one onto the pile of wood so that he can have some sort of heat. It really was freezing out. 

Deep down in his mind lies that fact that his friends were right about it being too cold to go camping, but he really wanted to get out this weekend and do something fun. He was going to come whether that meant he was going alone or not. 

The wintertime was Jungkook’s favourite season. He preferred to freeze over rather than sweat bullets; it felt nicer being cold and warming up than being hot and cooling down to him. Most people found that weird, he seems like a summer person, especially with his active nature – but he just wasn’t. Jungkook liked cuddles. He hated being touched when it was too hot. A warm body pressed up against his during a cold night was an unbeatable feeling.
