I Dont Know If A Single Soul Knows What I Am Talking Anout But Kazunari And Misumi Both Have Tooth Tunes

I don’t know if a single soul knows what I am talking anout but Kazunari and Misumi both have tooth tunes tooth brushes. Kazunari has “Tonight Tonight” by Hot Chelle Rae cause of course he does, while Misumi has the Kidz Bop version of Party in the U.S.A

All of that. Literally all of it. The episode was low key high key a disappointment and I was really upset.

However I do think that the voice acting was fine, but it was the animation that made Taichi’s VA seem much worse and over dramatic, because they animated Taichi so stiff and awkward.

This weeks Anime EP has me screeching, but not in a good way this time.

First of all, wait a sec TAICHI. WHAT IS THIS???

His hair is only dyed on A QUARTER of his HEAD? WHY WOULD DO THIS TO ME? I feel BETRAYED, utterly BETRAYED. Taichi has always given off moron energy, and it was an endearing trait, until I saw this.

I just CANT, I can’t TOLERATE IT.

I still love Taichi I just can’t get over this. This will always bother me. There’s no amount of space or time that could ever make me feel any better about THAT hairstyle. I’ll just do my very best to forget I ever saw it.

Secondly, what the heck did they do to Taichi’s confession scene? Like all of it??? I was really looking forward to it, and I was expecting some bad animation at this point, but not this. The camera angle cut SO MANY TIMES, that I literally couldn’t focus on what they were saying, and there was so little animation and none of it lined up with the audio.

Like, LOOK AT THIS. His mouth doesn’t even open when he makes that sound that’s SO UNNATURAL.

Not to mention the fact that Taichi’s voice acting was kinda terrible.

I’m no voice acting expert or anything like that, but as a normal human being, the way Taichi said like everything this episode feels so OFF. I feel like he was way over acting the crying, and when he’s performing his portrait he gets way too happy in the middle there when he’s talking about getting to perform a main part as a part of his deal with Beni. Like it made the whole performance feel fake. Just because of the way he said it.

Now, whether any of this is worse than normal for this anime, I don’t know. Maybe this is par for the course, and this only seems worse to be because of how much I was looking forward to this episode. That’s entirely possible, maybe I’m just too emotionally invested in this scene.

I was more that just disappointed by this episode, I don’t even know where to begin with how much I didn’t like.

I mean the cutting camera angles really, really, ticked me off. I mean, I could have drawn up a better storyboard for that scene in an hour and I haven’t even finished my degree.

Even so, even if the animation was terrible though, I feel like I could have dealt with it if the voice acting wasn’t so OFF. Like the voice actor is the same as the one from the game, so I don’t even know WHY it’s so bad.

On the bright side though.

Sakyo is pretty.

I’m going to say, I’m getting more and more sure that like all of the animation budget for this anime is spent on Sakyo, just ALL OF IT. I’m not even joking anymore, I genuinely think that this anime is playing favorites and over animating Sakyo.

I mean I’m not complaining.

oh my gosh okay okay, this tumblr was originally going to be for my Sakoda-centered series called MMIM (match made in mankai) which is a sitcom about sakoda, his lesbian sister, her girlfriend, his boyfriend Kengo from the encast, as they all live in a huge mansion together with their wacky neighbor homare and his husband mothman and their dog bubble wrap and it’s just a whole sitcom, all the while they run a dating site but I wanted to write other stuff too

anyways here’s Sakoda

“Are you sure about this Sakoda? It’s a big step up from a scooter.” Omi questioned, watching the boy as he circled his motorbike, a huge shark-like grin on his face as he nodded, holding his helmet in his hands.

“Yep! Gotta upgrade so I can keep up with Aniki! Wanna impress him and all!”

“Alright... and are you sure you don’t want Sakyo here with you for this?” Omi asked, feeling like this scene was similar to the cliche “father teaching his son how to ride a bike” moment, but Sakoda shook his head, his smile refusing to dim.

“Nope! Gonna surprise Aniki by taking him to all his favorite places on the bike! I can be his biker babe!” He cackled, while Omi questioned where he learned his terminology.

“I- alright then. If that's what you want. We already went over the mechanics so go ahead and hop on and we can go over getting it started...” Omi moved over to the bike, preparing himself in case it fell over despite having put the brakes on. He mentally went over how much a new bike would cost, just in case this one was to crash, which he felt was pretty likely.

“Got it!” Sakoda headed over to the motorcycle, sitting on the bike and putting his helmet on over his head, gripping his hands on the handles, excitement flowing through his veins. Just thinking of how his boss would act after seeing him ride around. He wondered if Sakyo would be proud, and how cool it would be if they were to ride to work together on a bike. His day dreams filled his mind, though out of the corner of his eye he could see Omi’s mouth moving, saying something like “... n’t start now...” 

“Got it Fushimi!” Sakoda beamed, kicking the bike into gear and lurching forward, using what he had learned prior to help him move. Omi was yelling something but Sakoda couldn’t hear, he was too happy feeling the wind in his ha-

oh, well that’s a pole. Good thing he knows how to turn, right? Omi taught him that, didn’t he? 

Oh... oh no

let’s just say the day ended with Sakyo buying Omi another bike, and Sakoda wearing a paper sign of his own creation around all day saying;

 “I did something  dumb and I won’t do it again.”

May I introduce you in the Sakoda cult? Where we worship and praise A3′s true bestest boy?

Y’all better stop sleeping on Best Boy Sakoda

Ok, so can I just say, that of all the side characters, Sakoda is HANDS DOWN the best one. Seriously, every time he comes on screen I end up smiling and laughing. Now that we get to see more content with him and more about Sakoda through Azami’s arc, I really feel like I get him better.

First of all, Sakoda isn’t just some underling of Sakyo’s. I know that how we all think of him, and that’s the way it appears when he first appears on screen, but Sakoda purposely goes out of his way to make himself useful because he’s grateful to Sakyo for picking him up off the streets. We don’t get much context as to exactly what that means because it’s only briefly mentioned in a conversation between the two of them, but I think it’s clear that he’s just grateful to him.

Plus, Sakoda just seems to be a genuinely helpful person, even when Azami asked him to go grab some of his things from home he doesn’t hesitate to agree. This also happens in various backstages, and other small little clips, Sakoda isn’t always being ordered around by Sakyo, it’s just most of the time.

In fact, I’d imagine that if things really did go down the way they’re telling it, and Sakyo took Sakoda in. That Sakoda probably started following Sakyo around before Sakyo started ordering him around, and after he realized there was no way to get rid of Sakoda, he just accepted it.

Can we also talk about how Sakoda got so angry for Azami’s sake, like he literally just started yelling like mad at the kingpin of this yakuza like it was nothing. I get that hes been a part of this family for years now but, even that’s not enough to exempt this.

Sakoda is like seriously yelling and almost insulting the head of the family in front of his son and I was expecting heads to roll, ok. I was proud as heck of him anyway and I was cheering him on, but I was just sitting here waiting for the fallout.

Like, I think it’s more impactful that he’s yelling like this because of how genuinely kind and helpful Sakoda’s always been, he’s never been shown being anything other than upbeat and supportive, so when he ups and starts SCREAMING, I seriously got goosebumps.

I think it’s also worth noting, that Sakoda was getting so worked up because of how he just dissed Azami’s dreams like they were childish and stupid, Sakoda isn’t upset because of something personal, he’s upset for Azami, and that’s important.

The best part of all this, the hammer never does come down, there’s no punishment, just Azami explaining his dream to his dad and him accepting that dream, and not only that, but telling him to go for it and not to look back.

Not only is there no punishment but the Boss drops a not so subtle hint that Sakoda would be the heir to the family in Azami’s place, and Sakoda just COMPLETELY MISSES IT. Sakyo even brings it up again later and it just goes completely over Sakoda’s head.

I’m LoSING IT.

Sakoda, the myth, the legend, he walks into the room yells and talks back to the boss, and walks out the heir to the family.

Absolutely ICONIC.
