How about something a lil angsty? Childe, zhongli and venti reaction to reader's death voiceline? Maybe Xiao for bonus?

series masterlist characters: childe, venti, xiao, zhongli genre: angst summary: somehow, our streamers have killed you in genshin impact. how? they don't even know. and they wish they never did since your death voicelines hit them a bit too hard. notes: um... i made new voicelines for deaths... so here you go. i took it as them killing you while playing instead of storywise, but i'd be willing to write for story deaths!

childe -

"(sibling/name) i'm... sorry..."

his siblings are all immediately pulled into his room.

he holds family, especially his younger siblings, close to his heart so hearing you call out to your sibling just hurts him on a personal level.

he's honestly glad that he's been able to make sure you stay alive for a long time because he didn't have to hear this voiceline.

he'll sit in his chair for a few minutes once everything's calmed down with his siblings next to him.

be it sitting on his lap or leaning against his chair, he doesn't care.

he just...

needs their comfort because he can only imagine how you feel in your dying moments.

(even though you're not real)

venti -

"wait... my friend's... memory..."

STOP

okay.

venti has a love-hate relationship with your story quest.

like, knowing that you only hold this form to honor your deceased friend just hits hard for him.

and add that to your ability to act carefree in your daily life?

you're going to kill him.

anyway, hearing your last words be about your friend just really hit him.

like, you're not thinking about anything else except for preserving your friend's legacy.

after he hears that...

he promises to himself that he won't let anything happen to you.

(even if he has that tiny feeling that you're character will be killed off for the story)

xiao -

"the voices... finally stopped..."

he... hates this voiceline with a passion.

you say it like you've been waiting for your death.

and he knows why you're waiting.

all of your friends are gone.

most of them dead and one presumably dead.

the idea that you're waiting to join their ranks is just... heartbreaking to him.

add that on to the voices of the lives you've taken?

he just...needs to lie down for a bit.

zhongli -

"is this... how they felt...?"

whoa...

um, zhongli is actually caught off guard with this voiceline.

he's (obviously) read up on all of your lore and stories.

knowing that many gods and goddess could have been slain by your very own hands was something that he... honestly expected.

he's read plenty of tales of deities getting blood on their hands for various reasons.

but hearing someone who was specifically written to have this same backstory feel remorse and wonder how painful their victims' deaths were is devastating.

and honestly?

he wishes he didn't see this story unfold before him.

so !!! this is kind of a tribute to law and to a lesser extent corazon :0 

tbh it was kind of a spur of the moment thing i have no idea how i drew 30+ panels in a week,,also its 4am and im very tired

altho this is incomplete ive put in a lot of energy into it and, i think im pretty proud of the end product :D

(also itd be great if this could get a reblog since this particular project has arguably, the most amount of effort ive ever put into any of my art)

A/n: Are you surprised? I’m alive, nobody expected that one. Also I spent thirty minutes looking for the banner and in the end I had to download it from my past posts. I swear I’m more organised these days…

You sigh as you close up shop, the small convenience store’s lights switching off and only the glowing “7/11” sign remaining. You’d convinced them to go back home, only Grim remaining to stand guard outside the store. Riddle had been unhappy about it, but you’d insisted you’d survived this long so far, so you’d be able to work a shift without all of your new supernatural roommates breathing down your neck.

You look around, your eyes peering into the darkness. You couldn’t spot Grim anywhere, the grey cat fading into the night easily. You wonder if he left you. Eh, probably not, from what you’d seen so far your familiars were… focused? to say the least. You still didn’t get it, why fate had chosen you for these monsters of the night. You didn’t get fate at all, never had, never will. And especially not now.

You hear your name called out, and you turn to the sound, your philosophy session cut off early. Ah, you’d know that gorgeous face anywhere, a boy with pale skin and black hair runs up to you, his breath ragged. It seems your coworker ran all the way here.

“Neige? What are you doing back here?” you ask, blinking down at him as he bows over, breathing heavily. Neige’s shift ended over an hour ago… wait did he-

“I- I forgot my keys!”
