yeah, age regression terms (mainly “little” and “caregiver”) originate in survivor spaces for people who were abused as children. age regression is when someone mentally retreats to an earlier age, generally as a trauma response. the term “little” refers to the person regressing, and “caretaker” refers to the person who helps supervise and nurture the little while they’re regressing. in and of itself, age regression is not sexual.

however, the CGL kink community (stands for caregiver/little), in which people get off on treating their partner, or being treated by their partner, as a child. they have very much co-opted the terms “little” and “caregiver” and now they’re more commonly known as sexual terms, which is really unfortunate imo.
