He lowered his head and prepared to charge the building like a bull.
- It's... the end... -I murmured, swallowing hard.
There's no way out. I won't make it out of the building in time.
My knees bent, preparing for impact. I put my hands in front of me to stabilize myself as the huge footsteps moved the earth beneath my feet.
As soon as I heard the first chunks of the building collapse, I closed my eyes for a second as I ran in a desperate attempt to get on the dragon's back.
I held my breath. Tensely, I stretched my hands out as far as I could to grab onto its scales.
The gloves turned to dust on contact, my bare hands struggling against the roughness of the material, trying to hold on with whatever strength I could muster, desperately clinging to life...
But, why?
I am not a great person. Life isn't great either....
I have no wealth, no family to fight for...
Mom...
I think...
Maybe... I love life the way it is.
Even though in the eyes of a normal person... I may not be happy...
"That's... That's it! Hold on to your life. Hold on unconditionally to your desire to live... Arisen"
