Thinking about how Julian and Garak have all the reasons in the world to avoid each other. Garak is from a xenophobic culture that despises outsiders and he also views sentiment as the worst of weaknesses. Julian's augment status is a massive, life-ruining secret that likely only someone as suspicious as Garak would notice.
Yet they are drawn to each other every scene they're in together. Because they just can't help it. Something compelling about what queer repression looks like in a sci fi setting.
