Old Deuteronomy Has Learned That Human Fathers Are Oftentimes "out For Milk". Unwilling To Shirk This

a sketchy digital illustration of old deuteronomy, a large grey cat, standing at a grocery store isle and looking at the dairy products. the shelves are stocked with colourful, vaguely cube-like produce. old deuteronomy is smiling while looking around and stroking his chin. he's also carrying a basket stocked with bottles that say "meow" on them. in the background, the sign hanging from the ceiling also says meow, and presumably marks the kind of isle a cat is walking into. further away, a parent cat stands sourly with their back turned to the viewer, presumably trying to get their kitten down from where the little one is sitting atop the large stocked shelves and smiling smugly.

old deuteronomy has learned that human fathers are oftentimes "out for milk". unwilling to shirk this duty, he too sets out for the closest catvenience store to make sure none of his 467 children are left milkless.

My country's Science Centre has quite a bit of lore I could gush about, but I wanted to share this interesting and somewhat creepy animatronic, if he counts as one.

I call him, Climbing Einstein!

My Country's Science Centre Has Quite A Bit Of Lore I Could Gush About, But I Wanted To Share This Interesting

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4FmPcvgnSfs (Video of him climbing)

Yes That is a robotic figure of Albert Einstein climbing up and down a cable in a small corner of the tesla show.

I don't know who thought of it, I don't know why he existed, but hey, he served as collective nightmare fuel for us Singaporean kids going to the Science Centre for school field trips :')

As of my last trip to Science Centre, it appears that the finally removed Einstein, what a shame, but I believe a tribute to him can be found in the Rube Goldberg device outside the museum.

This is so bizarre, but in a great way; it's like those little tree-climbing Santa decorations. I'm not sure what Einstein has to do with Tesla coils, or Nikola Tesla specifically, and I'm even less sure as to where he's climbing to, but I'm grateful for him nonetheless.

Here's hoping he's maybe in storage or was sold rather than destroyed! Museums tend to have the coolest (and strangest) animatronics.

Also, I think this is our first Singaporean submission!

Skimbleshanks Is Such A Wonderful Cat, He Loves His Job So Much (+ Headcanons Below The Cut!!!)

Skimbleshanks is such a wonderful cat, he loves his job so much 🚂💪 (+ headcanons below the cut!!!)

- Many of Jennyanydots’ mice have snuck onto the train with Skimbleshanks after the two hung out, necessitating that he bring them back to her (she’s always very grateful when he does this, her mice are too busy dancing to reproduce ✌️)

- He’s incredibly theatrical and gesticulates a lot while telling stories for the sake of the kittens who might not understand everything he’s saying, as well as for Victoria (he isn’t as adept at communicating with her non-verbally as the rest of the jellicles given that he spends so much time away from the junkyard, so he tries his best to make his gestures and their meanings clear for her)

- Munkustrap learned the hard way during a production of The Pekes and the Pollicles that Skimbleshanks likes to have a bit of scotch every now and then

- Skimble spends most of his time around humans, trying to keep them all in check; as such, he finds it embarrassing to give into his cat-like urges (chasing mice just for the thrill, chirping back at birds, etc), as this always leads to people gushing over him (he figures this means they’re taking him less seriously)

- Half of the cats in the junkyard have spiked collars because Skimbleshanks once raided a kinkster’s suitcase on the way to London, and decided to bring some gifts with him
