The fact that the only person in the Cullen house with a fully developed brain (considering the brain fully develops when you're 25) is Esme kinda shows. Like idk how many twilight fans have looked at the guide book or looked up the ages, but Esme was the only one in the family turned at over 25 (Esme being 26 when turned). Like Carlisle is the second closest being turned at 23, but he still misses.
The more shocking fact is that Emmett is third closest being turned at 20.
Rereading the twilight series after finishing midnight sun (after putting that off lmao) just makes me wish Stephanie Meyer would do more of Edward's perspective; specifically for New Moon and Breaking Dawn.
Like I think New Moon from Edward's perspective would be amazing not only because we'd get to see what he's doing but also because he's so dramatic that it'd still have the depressive feeling that is a staple of New Moon.
Breaking Dawn I mainly want from his perspective for the drama. This man finally got to marry his first love and after like a month finds out he might lose her forever cause he got her pregnant and she wants to keep the baby; and considering he didn't understand that she wanted the baby because it's his baby and not she just wanted a kid it'd be interesting to see his thought process. Like I know he was going insane, and I want to just see the journey in his mind of going from "I'm gonna lose my wife after a month of marriage and left with a baby that's a medical mystery to my entire family" to "I can hear the baby's thoughts but might still lose my wife" to "I know I've been trying to push back/prevent this vampire transformation, but my wife is the greatest vampire of all time and I'm so in love" to "the government is threatening my family's life over a misunderstanding".
Just- he's so mentally ill and knowing his thought process in twilight wasn't enough

the fears are kind of silly, like they're all so greedy but ultimately like the winners of a ritual that works are always gonna be like the extinction in first place and the end in second place cause eventually everything would die

Like these fear entities made of wax just gathered around a laptop in wherever they are taking turns finding out what kind of dessert they'd be
so I'm relistening to The Magnus Archives and episode 131 reminded me of something I really appreciate about this show (most of the time): they don't ignore when they just hurt a character so they can just get to saving something
Like- I get saving things is urgent but when a piece of media does something super painful to a character and then has them saving something while ignoring the painful thing just pulls me out of it
I just- I really appreciate the line "no, now I'm gonna have a lie down", like yes this man heals fast after his coma and is stubborn all the way through but Jon does acknowledge his injuries more than some media let's it's characters do
Bruuuh, especially when his hand had been burnt and The Admiral had clawed at it
I just- characters acknowledging injuries is such a small thing but it keeps my emersion
the one piece live action making Usopp and Kaya canon and a theory I saw got me thinking about this angst concept and if I don't put it somewhere I fear it'll haunt me (I've put the keep reading thing for anyone who doesn't want to see the angst content)
So the theory was talking about how Oda said one of the straw hats would die (idk if that's 100% true since I haven't seen where he said it) and how Usopp's dream is one that doesn't require him to survive to accomplish it (like you could argue he's already accomplished it at many parts in one piece because of how vague "I want to be a brave warrior of the sea" is). I believe it also goes on to say a way he could even accomplish that dream is to die in a heroic act.
But ultimately what's made me think the theory might be true is my friend pointing out how having him and Kaya be canon in the live action has essentially marked him for death (also the parallels of Kaya and Usopp to Usopp's own parents with Yasopp never returning also kinda points at it).
Now even if he doesn't die, there's an angst concept the live action has provided that hits even harder because they had Nami and Kaya bond. Now, fans of just the live action probably aren't aware (and this isn't really a spoiler cause I'm not giving anything really away as to why) that Nami and Usopp are considered a duo/best friends.
Which led me to thinking about how with all this new content adding to the angst: the concept of Nami being the one to go to syrup village after finding the one piece to see Kaya is golden (especially if she's bringing Kaya something of Usopp's or being the one to tell her but I doubt she'd get to be the one to break the news due to newspapers)
I just- if Usopp does in fact die later in the manga and Nami isn't the one to go see Kaya it's a wasted opportunity
Live action sanji is just as pathetic as I wanted him to be. Like this man is obviously a virgin who's never even kissed someone, but can flirt but not read signals well. Like he has the ingredients to cook but he's reading the recipe slightly wrong.
It's very cute and if they escalate his flirting in this live action if we get more season then me, Netflix, and a folding chair are gonna have words (for legal reasons this is a joke)
i shouldn't have binged the one piece live action, I want more show.
