I’ve been desperately sad and depressed, disappointed, and frankly angry over what’s gone down and how this situation has been handled. But the top and bottom of it is that there will be no more Star Stable comics or books.

We had so many things planned, so many things we wanted to write and draw about. I love the game and its characters, the world and everything it had to offer creatively. Any releases you see from now on, are all things that were finished long ago.

I was really looking forward to doing more stories about Morrigan and Galloper, Potato and Agnes. I wanted to see what happens to Concorde and the next chapter for the Vala.

I’m sad and tired. I want to look fondly back at the stuff I had the chance to do, it was a big part of my career for a long time.

Somehow, whenever I try to do dailies at New Hillcrest stable, it yeets me through some void and then spits me out near Steves farm, where I cant do anything but manually shut down the game

I think that if done well this might be actually good for sso.. I see lot of negative opinions and I understand some of them. 

Breeding like in Alicia would be pain so that must be avoided at all costs - or actually, only the part with random coat and stats, because the fact that you can earn some money for registering your horse for breeding is actually great in my opinion. As someone said, a small fee of sc for ,,borrowing,, your horse for breeding would be a good side hustle.

The fact that breeding doesnt fit sso, I dont get. How does it not fit? Its a horse game, with priority of training, racing and mostly collecting them. (with some quests thrown in here or there) Breeding feels like just the next step. 

It would be amazing if sso gave us the option to either upgrade or sell our old models for sc before tackling this huge of an update but well, thats probably not in their plans.

Personally I would love the breeds to keep their realistic coat colours but that can be spiced up - 

Crossbreeding. I love pintos, appy coats and other funky coloured variotions co crossbreeding could bring some life to that. It would be probably for the best if the crossbreeds were like mules, so they couldnt breed anymore, so we would avoid having horses that are every sso breed mashed together

Hi! My name is Lotta, I'm working as the Lead Character/Creature artist at SSE.

A little while ago our game director Stacy Place made the announcement that we will start looking into breeding for SSO. In an interview she also mentioned a shader which will make it all possible.

I am the creator of this shader and currently I am one of the persons driving the development of  bringing breeding into SSO and trying to make it a reality.

Up till now I thought this was one of the highest requested features, hence my surprise when I saw the large number of negative comments and concerns you, the players, rose.

One of the biggest concerns I've seen is the gambling aspect. When I told Stacy, our game director, I had an idea of how to solve the coats for a breeding system the first thing she told me was "If we do this, we need to do it in a way so there's no gambling". We are still very early in development and have only started to look at the technical possibilities. Whatever this project turns into I can assure you, we will never make you to pay for any unwanted random generated horses. 

Another concern I've seen is that this would be an act of greed on our behalf. I just want to assure you I’m not driven by greed but passion for horse breeding. Right now, we are limited to 7 coats for each breed, and I would like to change that. I would like everyone to be able to ride their favorite breed with their favorite coat. I also want to develop a fun, engaging and educational breeding system (I think the science behind genes is quite fascinating), and I want to make our horses much more diverse and unique from each other just like horses are in real life.

I would like to understand your concerns properly so I can bring it with me into the development, I have been looking into all conversations about the topic I've found and I’m trying to understand, Now I would like to hear it straight from you.

i also think its literally abhorrent how none of the new bridles fit the updated jorvik wilds for example

Sorry but the stuff they give away for Events should fit the Basic horses and not Certain TM, Special TM, expensive breeds. 

Also the store should blank out equipment you can’t use on the horse you’re on? I just clicked on like, 20something bridles that I can’t use on the horse I’m trying to equip :/
