Jarhn sat down at his desk in his room trying to figure out the best way to help Ivy heal and adjust to living with him.
“You need to eat something.”
Jarhn recognized the voice as his Uncle will
“What are you doing here?” Jarhn asked confused
“We just wanted to visit you and see how little Ivy is doing.” Uncle Will said
“We?”
“Me and your Uncle Thompson of course” Uncle Will said with an offended look
“Where is Ivy and lily and Uncle Tom?” Jarhn asked looking around
“Preparing breakfast now come along you need to eat.”
“So you should eat something” Uncle Will smiled guiding him into the kitchen and upon entering sitting him down at the table.
Ivy and lily served him his coffee and sandwich with a smile and the help of Uncle Tom

I am hosting a trail ride/camping trip starting from moorland to golden. And in the end we are going to have a campfire so we can tell stories. It is the coming up this Saturday but if you miss the first one don’t worry you can join the second one on Sunday! Both will start a 5:30 central time (6:30 eastern time and 3:30 pacific time) and go to 8:30 (9:30 eastern time and 6:30 eastern time) but if you can’t join at all don’t worry I’ll will be hosting one in the fall! This makes my theorist heart happy.
So apparently the Lignos isn’t as much of a ‘servant’ as they are a partner. It seems that the Lignos works in harmony with the tree, as stated above.
I’m assuming Garnok’s generals have the power to turn humans into Lignos as an offensive tactic, or anyone who yields dark magic for that matter.
But the sacrifice thing interests me...
I saw a couple people in the comments of this post mention exactly what I was thinking.
Catherine or Edith.
We don’t know much about Edith, except that she was an explorer who had a great curiosity for nature. Per my last theory blog, I theorized that Catherine could have willingly sacrificed herself back to the island in order to give her magic to another girl.
Could the Lignos we encountered in Wildwoods be Catherine? She has a strong connection with Aideen, and in-turn the life warden trees.
Sacrificing herself to the Sentinel would have been a good way to stay on the island and eventually guide whoever ended up with her abilities. Giving herself to the Life Warden could also have been a way to give her magic back to the island, instead of it dying with her. As I also said in my last theory post, DC could have been involved, Sands possibly taking this route not to kill her, but to only trap instead (could have been showing sympathy as he did with Justin).
By the same token however, the Lignos could be a number of other people, including Edith or even someone like the missing Moon Sister. Could Edith have had something to do with the soul riders or the magic of Jorvik at one point?
I don’t doubt that there are other Lignos around. Edith is most likely one of them, and she could most certainly have been the one who we encountered in the woods. I wonder how many of them there actually are, and where they are all located (if they live in some sort of tribal place around their designated trees).
