Cover Design Mock-Ups For My Fan-binding Project Of 'this Story That We Found Ourselves In' By The Incomparable

On the left side of the page there are three book covers with simple art. All have the title 'thhis story we found ourselves in' and 'Eska Writes' as the author. Next to each design is a collage of reference images. The first design is a New York Brownstone covered in snow. All the windows are dark except one where two figures huddle under a blanket. The Second design is an American Robin sitting on the hilt of a longsword. The third design has white line art on a black background and shows the torso of two figures linking pinkies. On their hands the figures have bright gold rings.

I’m so glad you like them!! Is now a good time to mention I have like 5 other designs in progress (and a pinterest board with over 500 pins 😭😭😭)

I'll make a longer post explaining my thought process + the other ideas I have sometime tomorrow. When I’m done, I’d love to poll people’s favourites to see which should become the final cover! Should I finish the other mock-ups, or is 6 already an obscene number of options???

I've been working on this for three weeks straight and the last couple designs are kicking my ass but I think they're so good??? I was this close to giving up thank you everyone I love our fandom within a fandom The moment I realised that I could line up the painting so the front cover is an empty bed but the back cover has Nancy??? the way i screamed I'll talk more about symbolism tomorrow but the robin is an American Robin just saying (this was extremely important to me) cfdau
