I Still Remember When My Mom Reacted Normally To My Sister's Weird Nickname That She Got Out Of Nowhere
I still remember when my mom reacted normally to my sister's weird nickname that she got out of nowhere and goes by online and for mail like "you're sister is creative" and then mocked me for "having a nickname" but it was literally my initials.

I feel bad for judging my sister and saying here she's lame/ugly [behavior]/pathetic because I feel like it just makes me look bad and "bitchy" when I'm not.
I feel it's justified because of how she treated me, but still I don't like how it changes me and I just overall try to move past her completely.
But that's what I hate. Someone genuinely hurts you with years of mocking you and calling you lame, gross, cringey, and embarrassing for innate qualities and disability things, and that ultimately just made you a boring bitter husk of your former self.
And that's all other people see. You being #mean and rude, but it's towards someone that doesn't deserve any consideration or compassion (but they don't have that context).
And then of course I just hate seeing my sister have lots of friends and making being "silly," "dress eccentrically," "interested in weird things" her whole personality when it's just a poor imitation of what I was, but she gets that credit from everyone because she only did it when everyone else in society sudden;y decided it was cool and okay.
Why did society have to flip flop on me? Always I'm against the norm.

Down in Antarctica, Ukrainian scientists and polar explorers have named this year's firstborn Weddell seal pup!
Meet "SeaBaby Svitozarovych". The name is in honor of Ukraine's marine drone. It was born on Winter Island near the Vernadskyi Research Base. Biologist Svitozar Davydenko was the first to find it and had the honor of naming it out of hundreds of suggestions.
"SeaBaby is already 10 days old. He is actively growing and will soon begin to get acquainted with the ocean. Weddell seals start living independently and feeding in the water after the weaning period is over, approximately seven weeks after birth." (September 26, 2024)

In the past year, how have you stood up for a free Palestine?
(poll is intended to spotlight @ahmedpalestine Ahmed's gofundme, more information below)
I made this poll to spotlight Ahmed's vetted gofundme. Here is his story:
My name is Ahmed Khader, a 29-year-old from Gaza, now living in Belgium. I left in 2019 to build a better life and support my family, but they remain trapped in Gaza, facing constant bombings and danger. On October 7th, the war forced them to flee to a refugee camp, but safety is still out of reach.
Ahmed's Gofundme is sitting at 💷4k out of a 55k goal. His GFM is very low and needs both attention and support. Please, reblog and/or donate. Everything helps. May our love and support for Palestinians outmatch our disgust at the Zionist entity.

WELCOME TO CRINGETOBER 2024
As promised, the list is here one month in advance to allow for preparation time! Just like last time, there are no hard rules. Just a fun exercise to draw things considered “cringe” by popular culture! No stress needed :)
I go more in depth on the list here, so check that out! of course, feel free to send asks my way if any questions remain <3
I’m really proud of this year’s list, honestly. And I’m incredibly excited for October! I hope everyone has fun!!
Yeah, I'm not going to post here anymore.
