Truth be told, I'm a really big Star Wars fan.

I always loved the movies ever since I first watched them, but I was kind of made fun of for liking them so much and I never really meet anyone (at the time) who loved them as much as me.

I know they've always been popular (even when the first movie came out), but it feels like popularity comes in waves. I don't know what it was like being a fan back in the day (when 1-6 came out) , but I want to say despite the movies being popular fans were still considered geeks (in a negative lame way).

Being a geek or nerd is cool now in general, and I feel like being a Star Wars fan really became acceptable around 2013 (right before the new triology) and is currently more popular and beloved than ever.

Kind of makes me mad, because I was a big fan before the massive wave of popularity. And by then I kind of moved on and didn't want to engage ever again with the series. I also don't really care for any of the new stuff or really any lore / excessive world-building (old or new). I just like episodes 1 - 6 (although I remember watching some cartoon series and liking them). And it seems hard to find fans who feel the same way.

This is probably one of the things that contributed to me not being very loud or expressive about my interests. I rather indulge privately and come up with stuff to share with myself only.
