Meeting Nico and events leading up to your relationship:

Nicholas and Euijoo met in a class in college, but they're studying completely different majors; they just happened to be in the same class for one particular subject that's required for both their majors

though they were technically classmates, they never interacted with each other outside of pleasantries — until they got paired up to do a presentation that's due in two weeks

for the first couple of days working on the presentation, they do so at Nico's place since he's living right outside campus

one day when they can't do that because of Nico's roommate Hanbin bringing someone over first and libraries usually being full and not exactly conducive for someone like Nicholas, Euijoo offers for them to go to his place

that's where Nico meets you for the first time, cooking lunch when they both arrive, an apron loosely tied around your waist and your hair in a messy bun

there's no real attraction at first -- you're literally just his classmate's sister -- but he does enjoy talking to you, especially since you seem so interested in his home country and his mother tongue (he answers your questions and teaches you a few words in his language when you ask, and later on, even when you don't)

even after the presentation's done, Nico keeps visiting because, other than getting much closer to your brother, he's starting to like you too (and in one of those visits, you two exchange numbers "just in case")

you get together a few months later after he confesses to you when he arrives one day while Euijoo is in the bathroom, taking a shower since Nico was supposed to arrive two hours later (when later asked why he arrived so early, he begrudgingly tells you it was because he already planned to confess that day and the nerves got the best of him so he just ended up showing up way too early — which worked out in his favor)

he doesn't notice anything different at first, though he did find it a bit strange that Nico arrived way earlier than he was supposed to after he finishes his shower, Nico looking quite satisfied with himself, and your ears were red red — but in the end, he doesn't think too much into it

when Nico starts coming over more frequently (like almost everyday instead of the usual once a week) saying that he left something behind or other similar excuses and more often at times when you're home, he's already suspicious

he begins to notice how often you start hanging out at the living room — more often than not on days when Nico's coming over

when he enters a room you were both alone in for more than like 3 minutes (like if he left to grab some snacks from the kitchen cupboard or something), he also sees how your cheeks are usually flushed

you mention that Nico would look good with blond or silver hair one day and within that same week, he shows up with pale blond hair, which further confirms his suspicions

one time when Nico came over while you were out, he also notices how Nico was obviously disappointed by that (even though he acted as if he wasn't, it was pretty damn obvious with the way his smile faltered slightly after hearing Euijoo's answer)

at some point, Nico somehow finds out that it's your birthday in a little over a month, asking him about stuff you've maybe talked about wanting to get for yourself (despite Euijoo never mentioning your birthday to him)

Not really one to celebrate such a thing as your birthday, you didn't have any plans when you went home from work. All you did do was treat yourself to a lion plushie that you've been eyeing the past week because it reminded you of Nicholas, wanting to get it ever since he started coming around less over the past month.

Unlocking the front door with the intention of heading straight to your room after grabbing a quick snack from the fridge, you almost fall flat on your ass in surprise when the loud sound of confetti poppers greets you instead.

Bewildered, you look up to see Euijoo and Nicholas, standing there with wide grins on their faces at their surprise's success.
