Coding [georgenotfound]

coding [georgenotfound]

pairing: georgenotfound x gn!reader

pronouns: they/them

synopsis: you're struggling to pass your simple coding course, while he happens to be a coding master.

wc: 1.6k

a/n: got inspired by all the dt content we got today!

tw: swearing, school

“y/n, i’d like to speak with you after class.” the words no student ever wants to hear. you forced a smile, nodding to your teacher who looked mildly disappointed in your abilities, or in your case, lack thereof.

if only you hadn’t been late to school on the day you were meant to sign up for courses, maybe you would’ve gotten into the courses you’d actually be good at. unfortunately for you, the odds were not in your favour, and you’d ended up in the last class you wanted to take. computer science.

it wasn’t to say the class wasn’t interesting, no, it was. it just wasn’t your forte. coding and scripting, all of the combinations you should know seemed to jumble together, and you couldn’t write a basic program. easy to say, you were failing. hence why you were hanging back by the teacher’s desk as your peers filed out of the room.

“y/n, i’m sure you’re aware as to why you’re here.” your teacher spoke, and you sighed, nodding. he pinched his noise in slight frustration, pausing for a moment before returning his gaze to you. “i know you’re a good student. excelling in every course, except this one. mind filling me in on why?”

you shuffled under his pressing gaze, swallowing hard. “i try, i really do. it just.. doesn’t make sense to me. at all.” you admitted, rubbing your arm in an attempt to calm yourself from the stress-inducing situation.

“have you considered switching courses?” he asked, kindly. he wasn’t one of those dreadful i-hate-kids-why-did-i-become-a-teacher sort of instructor, moreso the kind that would checkup on students, freely give extensions, and genuinely enjoys his job.

“all other classes during this period are full.” you explained, and he sighed, eyes glancing to his monitor screen, where an open copy of one of your previous assignments laid.

“i’m going to be honest with you, y/n. if you keep submitting work like this, i’m going to have no choice but to fail you. you didn’t even attempt half the questions. i know you’re struggling, but i want to help you get through this course, without ruining your gpa too much.” he spoke softly, and you inhaled shakily, the realization of failure dawning on you. your teacher noticed, standing up and placing a comforting hand on your shoulder.

“i’ve made up an easier version of this assignment. if you can get through it, i’ll replace the grade of your first assignment with this one, and it’ll raise your grade significantly.” he handed you a paper with instructions, and you gulped as you skimmed through, knowing you likely wouldn’t be able to do any of this. “i can’t help you with it, but i also can’t stop you from getting other help, should you need it.” he winked, and dismissed you. you thanked him, gathering your things and leaving, heading straight for the library.

you huffed, sitting down at one of the many school computers and logged in, bringing up the necessary programs. you ended up typing in random sequences you remembered from class, and sighed when you reread your work, completely unsure of whether what you were doing was even close to right. you groaned quietly, placing your head in your hands.

“uh, excuse me?” a voice called from behind you, and you turned, quirking a brow in question. “is this computer taken? all the other ones are full.” he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. you glanced around, seeing the other computers were, in fact, taken.

“it’s not taken, you can sit.” you smiled, grabbing the pile of your things you’d placed in front of said computer and placing them on the ground by your feet. he thanked you, sitting down and logging into his own account.

the two of you didn’t talk after that, simply tuning into your respective screens. you continued fumbling with various codes, eventually getting frustrated. clearly you weren’t hiding it well, because the boy next to you looked at you strangely, before deciding to mind his business and leave you be.

once you decided enough was enough, you leaned back into the hard plastic chair, stretching your arms. your eyes glanced over to the screen of the boy next to you, and you gasped, eyes wide. you caught his attention, him turning to see what caused your sudden surprise. he didn’t expect you to be looking at his screen.

you leaned forward, swiftly turning his monitor to face you, eyes dancing over the hundreds of words in the language of code on his screen. “holy shit, this is insane!” you whispered, and he flushed, embarrassed by your sudden compliment.

“uh, thanks?” he muttered, running a hand through his messy brown hair. you blinked, suddenly hyper-aware of how strange you must sound at that moment, and retracted back into your seat, clearing your throat.

“i, uh.” you stuttered, and then sighed, offering him an awkward smile. “sorry, uh. it’s just i’m taking computer science, well, failing computer science, actually.” you frowned, gesturing to your screen, before continuing. “but anyways, nothing we do is like this! you must be really advanced.”

he gave you a look you didn't quite recognize, but you blinked and his expression was understanding, so you brushed it off. “i’m not that good..” he shrugged, and you gaped at him, unbelieving.

“seriously? that looks sick! not that i know what any of it means, or does, but..” you chuckled, and he smiled kindly at you.

“well, i guess i know a thing or two.” he explained modestly, and your eyes lit up, hope flooding your body.

“i know we just met, and we don’t really know eachother, but could you help me with my assignment? i really need to get a good grade on it, or i’ll fail the course and ruin my gpa. you’d be doing me a huge favour?” you asked, practically begging. he smiled, nodding. you quickly turned your monitor towards him, and showed him the assignment.

he skimmed through the page, glancing up at your screen and back down, before nodding to himself. “seems easy enough. you just start by…”

not only did he manage to help you through your assignment, but you actually learned a thing or two from him. you quickly saved and emailed the file to your professor, slumping back in your seat in pure relief. the boy next to you chuckled, and it was then that you realized, you didn’t even know his name.

“thank you so much, uh..” you hesitated, subtly hinting for him to bring up his name. he chuckled, shaking his head lightly.

“so it takes doing a whole assignment together for you to ask for someone’s name. interesting.” he teased, and you mockingly gasped, throwing a hand over your heart dramatically. “it’s george, by the way.” he added, winking as he saved his work and logged off his monitor.

“y/n.” you said, and he nodded, gathering his things. “seriously though, george. you saved my ass. i owe you.” you smiled, genuinely, and he returned it.

“don’t mention it.” he scratched the back of his neck once more, before bidding you goodbye. you smiled as you watched his retreating figure, shaking your head with a smile and logging off the monitor, heading home for the day.

the next day flew by, and finally your last period rolled around, and for the first time, you walked into the computer science room with a smile on your face. you walked over to the teacher’s desk, waiting for him to finish with another student. you glanced around the room as you waited, your eyes falling upon a familiar head of fluffy brown hair. “george?” you whispered to yourself, but your teacher calling your name brought you out of your thoughts, and you tuned into the conversation.

“y/n, this is excellent work! i’m happy to say this will boost your mask well into passing.” he whispered excitedly, and you smiled proudly.

“i can’t take all the credit sir, i had someone very talented help me with it.” you admitted, slightly raising your voice so that a certain someone would hear it. he did, it seemed, from the way you noticed he straightened in his seat out of the corner of your eye. you chatted for a bit longer, before you were dismissed so he could help another student.

rather than sitting in your usual corner by yourself, you sauntered over to where your saviour sat, tapping him gently on the shoulder, catching his attention. “uh, excuse me. is this computer taken?” you mocked his previous introduction, and he swiveled around, sending you a glare.

“yes, actually. it is.” he fired back sassily, and you deflated a little, glancing somewhere else. however, when your gaze moved back to the boy in front of you, you spotted the devious smirk that littered his lips.

“you’re an ass.” you muttered, pulling out the chair and seating yourself next to him.

“you’re the one who asked me to sit.” he argued, shrugging and turning his attention to the monitor in front of him. you didn’t speak again, mimicking his actions with a growing smile. you were tackling a much easier assignment than george, but for the first time ever, you understood what was being asked, and if you didn’t, luckily you had a very smart peer sitting right by your side.

suddenly, you felt like maybe taking computer science wouldn’t be so bad after all.

[bonus]

dream came barreling down the hallway, huffing as he stepped foot into the classroom, offering a sheepish grin to his teacher, who simply shook his head at his tardiness. dream stepped towards his usual spot, but paused upon seeing his regular seat was occupied.

maybe he would’ve said something had he not watched george whisper in their ear and send them into a fit of giggles, but he decided today, he could simply sit somewhere else.

and tease the shit out of george later.

reggie’s girl [reggie]

word count: 0.8k

pairing: reggie peters x fem!reader

warnings: n/a

a/n: i don't know what this is but i wrote an imagine based on it.

find part 2 (imagine) here!

request: n/a, but inspired by this post by @bestdressedandstressed

all eyes fell on her when she walked down the school hallways, a striking contrast to the bland, lifeless colours painted around her. to put it simply, she was the it girl. the one everyone either wanted to be or wanted to call their own. she, however, was untouchable and everyone knew it. she was reggie’s girl.

popularity was never something important in y/n’s life. in fact, it wasn’t until he came into her life that she was even given a second glance. her priority lied solely in her studies, until one fateful night she ran into him quite literally and split her freshly brewed coffee all over his pristine white t-shirt. he wasn’t mad of course, in fact he insisted on buying her a new one. one thing led to another, and they were soon inseparable.

had she known the chaos his life would bring to her, she probably never would’ve let him buy her that coffee. the uptight, studious and overall shy girl she once was never would have imagined to fall in love with the high school dropout/bad boy musician. here they were however, a year later and she couldn’t imagine life without him.

reggie was the one who helped her break free of the chains of confinement she’d unknowingly trapped herself in. in an attempt to block out the world around her, she’d isolated herself to the point that she was missing out on all the fun aspects of high school and life in general. he helped her experience everything she’d missed out on, wanting nothing more than his girlfriend to be living her life to the fullest.

to say it was a shock when their relationship was publicized was an understatement. reggie, the upcoming bassist and a certified nerd? the gossip was seemingly never-ending.

“of all the girls reggie could’ve gone for, he’d chosen a loser like her?”

“she’s so weird, what does he see in her?”

‘must be a bet or something, reggie wouldn’t stoop that low.”

at first, the comments were rough on the both of them. reggie’s image, though not really important to him, was risked - and it was a dangerous move with the band’s recent success. y/n, on the other hand, was faced with much more personal attacks. the dirty looks she’d get as she passed, the whispers that became an eternal ring in her ears, and the many girls who reggie had winked at or passed a flirty compliment to in the past, pestering her about breaking up with him and “giving him back”. he hadn’t even remembered any of them - she checked.

it was always worth it though - because dealing with the backlash meant to be with the boy she loved. walking on the pier by his house, study dates where he’d play his guitar while she studied, random late night adventures, or even just listening to the band’s rehearsals. every minute spent with reggie made it okay. she’d endure an endless amount of rumours if it meant one more day with him.

eventually though, a few months into their relationship, people began to realize the two weren’t splitting anytime soon, and slowly things came to a calm. this time was a large growth period for y/n, who no longer shied away from social situations. parties, concerts - just a few of the things that became a regular for the couple. to her surprise, she loved the rush that came with it all.

it didn’t take too long for everyone to warm up to her after that. there were always the people that came up to her, in a feeble attempt to get close to her. she quickly became the most popular girl in school, the gossip now still on her, but in a much different light. she learned to deal with it, no longer being phased by it in the slightest. all that mattered to her was reggie.

he didn’t know how he got so lucky. she was always there for him; when his parents fought, or if his ego inflated from a particularly good run of a song. no matter how big, or how small. good or bad. she was there, and supported him wholeheartedly.

when it came to their shows, she was always there, front and center - his leather jacket securely over her shoulders as she sang along to their songs. the love and pride reggie felt in his chest seeing her there in his jacket was a feeling he couldn’t describe. he only wished his parents could experience the feelings he had with her.

he found someone that loved him for him, and didn’t get caught up in the madness that was his life. it hurt him that their relationship came with so much drama and backlash, but it never mattered to him because they never understood how he really felt. everything would always be okay, he had her and that’s all that ever mattered. she was his girl, for eternity.

touch [reggie]

word count: 2.0k

pairing: reggie peters x fem!reader

warnings: tiny bit of angst?? but its me so who's shocked

a/n: omg its been so long since i’ve written a request, i hope you like it! (also im sorry but i cant bring myself to proof read this LOL)

requested by anon: Okay so a Reggie x reader (or a platonic!band x reader), where she can obviously see them but hasn't ever touched them and is scared of the possibility that she can't. Reggie kinda tries but she usually dodges in just in case. One day theyre (or theyre all) messing about and he (or they) realise they can and start a tickle/wrestling fight? Just really fluffy and wholesome? Thank youuuuu

being in a relationship with a ghost was weird. extremely weird. there was no touching - at all. no hand holding, no kissing, no cuddling. though you longed to be able to have physical contact with your boyfriend, being with reggie was more than enough. he was sweet, caring and to your great dismay, very clingy.

hanging out with reggie constantly wasn’t the issue. you’d spend an eternity with him if you could. it was the way he reached out to give you a hug, or a kiss on the cheek - and you’d have to dodge him every time. you always brushed it off with a sneeze or a lame excuse; he didn’t ever seem to notice anyways, and if he did, he never said anything. you just couldn’t bring yourself to let him touch you.

you saw how luke was with julie. he tried to reach out to her (many times, actually) and he’d watch his limb pass right through her body. you figured it had to be the same for everyone, ghosts are ghosts. they’re made of air, and cannot physically be touched.

as much as you had the curiosity to check, just to make sure you really couldn’t touch them - you couldn’t bear it if you’d tried it only to be met with disappointment. the constant reminder your boyfriend wasn’t really there with you, and never would be - because he was dead.

it was an average day listening to the band rehearse some of their new songs, and you were sitting on the couch with flynn working on some schoolwork. you were just finishing up your joint efforts on the math homework as the song came to a close. you smiled up at the guys, clapping along with flynn at the insane progress they and julie had been making.

“sounds great guys.” you complimented, beginning to pack up your supplies. it was getting late, and though you wished you could spend the rest of the night listening to them play, you had a family to get back to and responsibilities to tend to.

“are you leaving already?” a voice peaked over your shoulder, and you jumped back, holding a hand over your heart. you rolled your eyes when you realized it was just reggie, but shook your head with a smile.

“one of these days reg, you’re gonna give me a heart attack.” you sighed, throwing your school bag over your shoulder. “and yeah, i gotta bounce. told the fam i’d be home for dinner.” you shrugged, and he pouted, but nodded.

he went to reach for a hug, and you noticed - quickly spinning and walking around him as if you hadn’t noticed. you watched as he crossed his arms a little awkwardly, but you smiled and blew him a small kiss, before leaving the garage and heading home.

an awkward silence followed, and reggie quickly picked up on the fact everyone was watching him. “what?” he asked, turning frantically. “is there something on my face?”

“bro, what was that?” flynn asked, and everyone (save for reggie) tensed.

“what was what?” reggie was very obviously confused, had something happened he missed?

luke sighed, looking around to everyone who quickly turned away, realizing he was left with the responsibility of explaining. he slowly walked over to reggie and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. “reggie, have you noticed y/n’s been a bit.. dodgy recently?” he struggled to word his phrase, and julie and flynn mumbled a sound of disapproval before flynn marched over, never being one to shy away from telling the truth.

“listen close. i don’t know why, but y/n’s been dodging you. like physically won't touch you. at all. like, ever. haven’t you noticed?” she gave her signature ‘duh’ look, and reggie frowned, thinking back to every time he’d tried to make a physical move with her, only to realize flynn was right.

“why won’t she let me touch her?” reggie wondered aloud, and alex gave him a sad smile from across the room.

“reggie, we’re ghosts. we can’t touch them. she’s probably scared of you going through her or something. it’s not like any relationship she’s had ever.” he explained gently, and reggie felt like he’d been stabbed in the heart. had him being a ghost really upset her that much? without another word, reggie ‘poofed’ out of the room.

he stood outside the front of your house, pacing nervously back and forth. he desperately tried to sort out his thoughts, ultimately giving up and deciding he needed to talk this out with you before he drove himself crazy. he teleported himself outside your bedroom door, swallowing his nerves before lifting his hand to knock - momentarily forgetting he was a ghost. his arm - as he should have expected - went right through the door, and in his off-guard state, he fell directly through the door.

he expected to hit the ground with a thud, but instead he heard a small squeak of surprise and landed on something much softer than he anticipated. said thing started groaning in pain, and it took reggie another second to realize it was you. he quickly pushed himself off, offering you his hand. you took it without a second thought, helping yourself to your feet when you looked up and processed who was in front of you. who was touching you.

“reggie?” you whispered, purely shocked. he frowned at you, before following your gaze to your interlocked hands. your hands that weren’t passing through one another. “reggie.” you stated again, a smile slowly tugging at your lips as the two of you came to terms with what you were experiencing. you could physically touch him.

“wha- how?” he stuttered, but neither of you knew how to answer so you simply shrugged, eyes trained on your hand clasped in his. you stood in silence for a moment, before coming to reality and looking up at him, quickly dropping your hands and surging forward, capturing him in a tight embrace. he stumbled, laughing in response but held you just as tightly. he swayed the two of you gently, and you couldn’t help but let the pooling tears fall and a few sniffles escaped your lips.

“are you crying?” he whispered, though unlike the typical reggie, there was no sign of sarcasm or teasing tone. it was purely soft and caring, the side of him that reggie only shared with you.

“can you blame me?” you replied, pulling back slightly to look him in the eye. he chuckled, shaking his head gently. you hesitantly raised your hand, caressing his cheek and smiling as you watched his face reddened in response. reggie gently kissed your palm before moving your hand, then leaning in so you were almost touching noses.

“can i kiss you?” he asked, and you smiled brightly, nodding enthusiastically before he closed the distance between the two of you. you pulled away for air, and reggie let out a low whistle, earning a slap from you along with a quiet giggle. “man, why haven’t we done that sooner?” he exclaimed, and you suddenly remembered all your fears, and shrugged.

reggie sensed the change in mood, and frowned. he hadn’t realized what he said, but thinking it over, he suddenly remembered why he had come in the first place. he grabbed your hand, pulling you onto your bed and sitting you down next to him. you fiddled with your fingers nervously, knowing you couldn’t avoid what was coming next.

“i actually had a reason for coming here today.” reggie spoke quietly, his gaze directed at the wall in front of him. “luke mentioned you’ve been acting dodgy.” you shot him a look, and he recalled flynn’s (far better) explanation. “every time i’ve tried to touch you in any way, you moved or found a way around it. i just want to know.. why?”

you hadn’t realized how hurtful it must be from reggie’s end until you heard his voice break as he tried to rationalize your avoidance. you sighed, hanging your head. “i was scared.” you admitted after a moment, seeing reggie turn your way out of the corner of your eye. “i was scared that i’d get my hopes up and then i’d have to be reminded you're not alive all over again. do you know how many times i’ve dreamt of touching you? holding you, kissing you.. i couldn’t risk having it thrown in my face just to realize we could never have that relationship. it’s all i’ve ever wanted with you.”

a long silence followed, you sitting with tear-stained cheeks and reggie deep in thought. it wasn’t awkward, but it wasn’t quite comfortable either. finally he turned to you, without hesitation pulling you into his chest and holding you close, lovingly stroking your hair. you cried a bit in relief, holding onto the fabric of his shirt tightly. the two of you sat until you calmed, and then you laid down, motioning for reggie to do the same. you comfortably positioned yourself and he did the same, wrapping his arms around you and began humming the tune of ‘edge of great’. you felt your eyes fluttering shut, and soon you fell asleep to the soothing sound of reggie's voice and the rise and falling of his chest.

reggie had an itch on his back, and he cursed himself silently. he shifted his body to scratch, brushing his hand over your stomach ever so slightly and feeling you flinch in response. he froze at this, but realized you were still asleep and continued on. when he attempted to shift back into his original position, he somehow managed to poke your side, feeling you flinch again. his eyes widened when he realized: you were extremely ticklish. and he could touch you now.

he knew he’d probably regret it later, but he gently slid out from underneath your frame, before rubbing featherlight touches over your skin, causing you to roll back and forth slightly. you began mumbling incoherently in protest, and he could tell you were waking up. he began actualling tickling you, and your thrashing got more and more intense until you shot awake with a squeal, attempting to fight him off. at this point he smirked, throwing a leg over you so he was straddling you and got a better angle for his attack.

he kept this up until you surrendered and were struggling for air, laughing uncontrollably. he smirked, rolling off of you and laying back down, arms open for you to resituate yourself against him.

“absolutely not!” you pouted, huffing. “you really just went out of your way to wake me up from a nap to tickle me. not cool reg.” you crossed your arms over your chest and looked away, feigning dramatic effect.

he frowned, thinking you were actually upset. “oh c’mon y/n, i’m sorry! i just got really excited - i’m literally touching my girlfriend for the first time! please don’t be mad at me!” he pleaded, his natural puppy dog eyes pulling you out of your acting.

“fine. but you better cuddle the shit out of me to make up for this.” you smirked, and he smiled brightly, reaching for you and pulling you against him once more. looking back, you understood your reasoning, but you realized if you’d only talked it through with reggie, you could’ve gotten way more cuddles and way more kisses. you pouted at the thought, and reggie gave you a questioning look as to say ‘what’?

“nothing. just upset we waited so long for this.” you sighed, fiddling with the hem of his shirt.

“guess we’re going to have to be doing a lot of this to make up for lost time then?” he teased. you nodded, a yawn slipping through your lips. you snuggled into him further, allowing sleep to consume you once more, and there was only one thing on reggie’s mind, and it was that he couldn’t believe how lucky he’d gotten.

under the bleachers [sapnap]

pairing: sapnap x gn!reader

pronouns: they/them

synopsis: high school au!, jock!sapnap x unpopular!reader

wc: 2.6k

anon asked: "i am sapnap quenched, may I pls have some sapnap angst like maybe he gets jealous or there is a misunderstanding between you two causing an argument but it results in fluff"

a/n: i already had started this au, and anon gave me inspo to finish it! i hope this satisfies your sapnap needs :)

tw: couple of swears, angst to fluff!

in the movies, high school was all about the social hierarchy. the jocks and preps ruled the schools, while the nerds resided at the very bottom, with nothing to show but their shamed fashion and annoyingly high test grades.

when you got to high school, you imagined it would be different. it wasn’t, really. sure, it may not have been quite as eccentric as the movies foretold, but the gist of it remained. the athletes and cheerleaders held their heads high, though you guessed their status was more so earned from their bullying and threats rather than the sports they played. nerds were still disregarded, but they didn't all have horrible taste in clothes, if you did say so yourself.

brushing off your chosen outfit of the day, you sighed as you slid your books out of your bag, filing them nicely into your locker. you pulled out your book for your first class, sighing as the sounds of students scrambling about filled your ears. just another day at smp high.

“morning, y/n!” your friends wilbur and niki smiled as they approached, wilbur’s arm thrown lazily around niki’s shoulders. you arched a brow, but the two of them ignored your look, more than used to your antics.

“morning, guys.” you mumbled, finally shutting your locker and slipping off with the two of them, walking towards your first class.

“rough morning, y/n?” niki asked, frowning slightly. you shrugged, fighting off a yawn as the three of you stopped in front of the door. the two of them began the morning with music, while you started with chemistry.

“i’ll be fine once the coffee kicks in. don’t worry about me, have fun in class.” you smiled reassuringly, waving the two off as they entered the class, you continued down the hallway, avoiding teenagers running frantically to get to their homerooms on time.

you calmly reached your lab, entering and seating yourself in the same seat, in the far left of the class, middle row. also unlike the infamous “nerdy” stereotypes, you didn’t enjoy sitting front and center, and kept to yourself unless called upon. you quietly opened your book as instructed on the board in front of you, just as the bell for the period rang.

the lesson dragged on, you taking notes all the while. before you knew it, the bell rang once more, dismissing the class. you began to pile your things, when suddenly an arm came by and swept under your things, sending them all tumbling to the floor. you looked up, fighting the urge to roll your eyes.

“oops.. sorry about that.” sapnap snickered sarcastically. his friends behind him, dream and george, laughed loudly. you kept your expression stoic as you bent down to collect your things, scoffing at their childish actions.

the “dream team” as they insisted to be addressed, quickly got bored and left, probably to bully some freshman. they were your typical star athletes, with dream captaining and sapnap playing on the football team, and george captaining the soccer team. as most ‘jocks’ do, they had over inflated egos and you couldn't stand them.

as you gathered the materials off the floor, you noticed a small folded note. you looked around, but you realized you were the last student so you swept it into your pile and quickly made your way back to your locker to swap your books. you pulled out the note curiously, unfolding it.

‘y/n. meet me under the bleachers after class.’ you frowned, blinking down at the small crumpled paper in your hand. there was no signature, but you knew exactly who it wrote the message from the messy handwriting. sighing, you threw the note back into your locker, pulling out your next book, and pushing it out of your mind.

the rest of the day was uneventful, until the final bell rang and you quickly threw your books into your bag messily. niki and wilbur looked at you concerned, exchanging a small glance. they decided not to speak on it though, simply rearranging their own lockers for the night.

“i’m gonna walk home today, i think. it’s been a long day, and i could use the fresh air.” you spoke boredly, nervously gripping the straps on your backpack. your two best friends only nodded, and bid you a goodbye as they made their way to wilbur’s car. you huffed, closing your locker and heading in the other direction once they were out of sight.

you knew they weren’t stupid. they had to know something was up by now. you wanted to tell them everything; but he asked you not to. you wanted to tell wilbur and niki so badly about him, but the overwhelming need to please your boyfriend overpowered your own desire. for awhile, anyways. now you were starting to feel the drift in your friendship, and you were tired.

you arrived at the bleachers, seeing his broad frame anxiously awaiting your arrival. sapnap’s eyes beamed as he saw you approaching, opening his arms for a hug. you walked into his arms, but very half-heartedly reciprocated the hug. he pulled away, frowning.

“what’s wrong?” he asked, gently placing his hands on your shoulders, holding you in place as his eyes darted around your face in search of something wrong. you only shrugged his hands off, turning your back to him. sapnap knew something was very, very wrong by now. you usually basked in the short amount of time the two of you shared under the bleachers.

“y/n, you’re scaring me.” he whispered, and you sighed, crossing your arms and rubbing them comfortingly, reassuring yourself. you turned back around, now a decent distance set between you and your lover.

“i don’t know how much more of this i can take, sap.” you breathed, and his expression dropped immediately. he opened his mouth to speak, but you shook your head, silencing him. “this, us. it’s ruining me. you spend every waking minute of the day throwing things at me, breaking my stuff. then we come here for 10 short minutes every day to kiss, and then you leave again!”

“i’m trying to make this work-” he tried, but you once again, cut him off. you weren’t finished.

“no, you’re not! you won’t even let me tell my two closest friends - who, by the way, i’m losing because of you! soon i’ll be left with nothing! this isn’t a healthy relationship sapnap, and i’m sick of it!” you were shouting now, and you watched as his eyes darted nervously around, hoping no one heard you. you scoffed.

“you care so much about your reputation you’re more worried about someone hearing me, than you yourself hearing what i’m saying.” you stepped back then, desperately trying to fight the tears threatening to spill from your eyes. sapnap noticed, gulping harshly; he too was fighting tears.

“that’s not true, and you know it. i love you!” he choked, taking a step forward, and you shook your head softly, taking another step back.

“do you?” your voice cracked, and the two simple words broke both your hearts. you glanced at his face, only to force yourself to look away. you had never seen him so broken, and it was your fault. no. it was his fault, he did this to you both. without another word, you turned, leaving the heartbroken boy you loved so much, crying under the bleachers alone.

sapnap stood in pure shock as you left, a sickening feeling rising in his chest as the weight of your words hit him like a truck. you thought he didn’t love you. he sunk to the ground, silent sobs wracking his body. he didn’t once think about the fact football practice was starting, and that he was going to miss it. he didn’t care about that - he cared about you.

he wasn’t sure how long he sat under those bleachers, replaying every memory the two of you shared, trying to figure out where he went wrong. maybe it was the time someone almost caught the two of you making out under the seats, and he pushed you to the ground without a second thought, switching back to his typical bully persona. maybe it was the multiple times he promised he’d take you out for a real date, and never really did.

it wasn’t. he knew the real reason why you were upset.

the two of you laid in the grass under the bleachers, you simply resting your head on his shoulder as you talked about anything and everything. this was your first rendezvous in your newly declared ‘spot’, it was exciting and romantic all at once.

“hey, y/n?” sapnap called, and with a hum in response from you, continued. “can we, you know, keep this between us for now?” he asked, sheepishly. he’d just been personally accepted as dream’s right hand man, and was trying to perfect his image in this shitty school hierarchy. you never cared about it, but you knew he did. “it’s not because of you, it’s just-”

“of course, you don’t need to explain. i understand.” you smiled, and he relaxed, visibly. “just maybe not forever?” you added, hopefully. he smiled brightly, nodding quickly.

“i couldn’t keep you a secret forever, angel. in fact, i can’t wait to show you off to the whole school, and let them know you’re mine.” his words were like music to your ears, and you kissed him passionately, taking him completely off guard. the two of you pulled away laughing, simply enjoying each other's presence.

that was one of sapnap’s favourite memories of the two of you. ever since that day, tradition was to meet under the bleachers after school whenever possible. the visits became less and less frequent however, with dream demanding more practices and after-school hangouts. 4 months later, sapnap still hadn’t brought you up to anyone, and now as he pondered his relationship, realized he also neglected you.

determination flooded him, and he stood. he wasn’t going to let your relationship end like this, not without a fight. he quickly ran to the locker room, finding dream addressing some future tactics with punz. “dream!” sapnap called, and everyone’s attention flicked to him, some sending him worried glances.

“you missed practice.” dream’s voice cut through the silence, anger leaking from his tone. his eyes met sapnap’s, however, and softened immediately at the pain visible in his eyes. “okay guys, dismissed. get out of here.” dream announced, and the team whooped and hollered as they filed out of the locker room. soon, it was just the two boys standing in silence.

“you gonna tell me why you’ve been crying?” dream asked, a somewhat teasing tone attempting to mask the real concern he felt for the boy. sapnap was like a younger brother to him, he hated seeing him this way.

“i-have-a-significant-other.” sapnap rushed, and dream gave him a confused look. sapnap sighed, wringing his fingers nervously. “i, uh, sort of.. maybe have a significant other?” he muttered, and dream blinked, suddenly let out a loud laugh. sapnap flushed, embarrassed as dream began laughing uncontrollably, hunched over as wheezes slipped past his lips. tears welled up in sapnap’s eyes again, muttering a small “nevermind” as he turned to leave.

“no- no wait.” dream wheezed, desperately trying to collect himself. “sorry, sorry it's just - yeah. y/n. what about them?” he managed, breathing heavily after his intense fit of laughter. sapnap froze, turning back to dream.

“what did you just say?” sapnap asked, and dream chuckled, much more calm this time.

“y/n? the super smart kid you’ve been teasing nonstop for the entire year? yeah, george and i have known for a while. you’re not exactly subtle, sapnap.” dream explained, and sapnap flushed.

“what.. why didn’t you say anything then?” sapnap exclaimed, panic settling in. he’d put you through so much pain to keep this from dream, when he’d known all along?

“you didn’t ever mention them, we figured you would tell us when you felt ready.” dream shrugged, taking a swig from his water bottle. sapnap smiled a bit at this, but let out a heavy sigh.

“i really fucked up with them, dream. i don’t know what to do.” sapnap admitted, and he explained the situation to him in detail. dream listened intently, frowning as he came to a realization.

“sap, you.. you didn’t do this because you thought i’d stop being friends with you, did you?” he asked, hesitantly. sapnap didn’t answer, only dropping his gaze to the floor in response. dream sighed, bringing the younger male into a hug. sapnap startled, but clung to the boy desperately. “don’t worry, we’ll fix this.” dream muttered, and smirked as a plan started to form in his head. “i have an idea.”

the next morning, you arrived at school looking nothing short of a mess. you tried to hide the redness of your eyes, and failed miserably. hence why when half the school looked at you as you walked sluggishly to your locker, you thought nothing of it. you simply kept your head down and only lifted it when reaching your destination. instead of the regular brown metal however, your locker had sapnap’s jersey pinned to it.

you blinked, flushing as you realized everyone’s eyes were on you not because you looked like you’d been to hell and back, but because of this. you swallowed, swiftly pulling the jersey off of your locker and holding it in your hands, staring at it in wonder.

“i was hoping you’d wear it to our game friday night.” his voice cut through the buzzing chatter of students crystal clear, and you slowly turned to see sapnap standing with your favourite drink in hand, offering it to you sheepishly.

“what the- what are you doing?” you whispered, completely overwhelmed by the gestures being thrown your way. sapnap sighed, swallowing thickly.

“i’ve been a horrible boyfriend, y/n. you deserve so much better than what i’ve been treating you - and you’re right. it wasn’t fair of me to ask you to lie to your friends, or to hide under the bleachers. none of it was okay. i wasn’t lying yesterday. i want to make this work - i love you. if you’ll give me another chance, i’ll do better. i’ll be better. if you don’t want to though, i understand-” he rambled, and more tears welled up in your eyes.

“shut up and let me talk..” you cut him off, and he shut his mouth instantly. “no one has ever done anything like this for me. i love you too, sapnap. of course i’ll give you another chance.” you smiled, pulling him into a passionate kiss. claps and cheers echoed around you, and you pulled away, laughing at the situation in front of you.

suddenly, the football team came and clapped sapnap on the back, a chorus of “simpnap!” cheers following. he pouted, but you only shrugged, showing off the jersey in your hands. he sighed, accepting defeat. “only for you.” he whispered to you, and you smiled impossibly brighter.

the first warning bell went off, students left and right quickly scrambling away from the scene, and you followed suit, gently folding the jersey and placing it in your locker. “so? will you wear it to the game on friday?” sapnap asked, and you almost jumped - you’d figured he’d left with the crowd.

you pretended to think about it, seeing another adorable pout adorn sapnap’s expression. “on one condition.” you claimed, and sapnap looked at you expectantly. beckoning him closer with a finger, you leaned up to his ear, your voice barely a whisper. “meet me under the bleachers after class?”
