The morning sun shines through the sheer curtains as jungkook and you lay intertwined in bed. With you still sleeping, jungkook is wide awake, focused on your calm breathing and running his hands through your silky hair.

He looks down at you slightly, smiling to himself as today was his birthday and he wondered what you had planned for the day, for the two of you.

“Good morning, jagi,” Jungkook hums, seeing you try to open your eyes while letting out a small yawn.

“Morning, Koo,” You respond back sleepily, trying to snuggle deeper into his chest, “How long have you been awake?”

“A good while now,” He exclaimed, waiting for you to greet him with a happy birthday and a birthday kiss, maybe even a little more for this morning.

Jungkook didn’t know that you were planning to pretend that you forgot his birthday, while actually you had a whole birthday dinner planned for him along with the boys. This was evil, you gotta admit, but you were getting back at him because of the last time he had pranked you.

“I have so many things to do today. I don’t want to get out of bed,” You mumbled into his chest, closing your eyes again.

“Yeah? With me?” You could hear the hint of excitement in his voice, causing your heart to squeeze a little.

“No? Did we have something planned today? I forgot to tell you, but my friends asked to hang out today so I’m possibly gonna be out shopping the whole day,” You looked up at him, seeing him processing what you just said before a small frown and sad eyes popped up on his face.

“Oh. I thought- well- since today is- you know,” Jungkook mumbled quietly.

His face was so sad, you just wanted to come out and say just kidding and then spoil him with all of your love and kisses because it’s his birthday! Are you a bad girlfriend for this?!

“I know…?” You looked at him confused, yet you were screaming inside.

“Never mind!” He awkwardly laughed it off.

“I’ll see you later, bun,” With a short peck on his lips, you were out the door in no time. You had to get out of there before you broke the act.

“Bye, jagi-” A deep frown sat on jungkook’s lips as he sees you leaving quickly.

Guess you really did forget his birthday.

“Wait, wait. Tell me the story again!” Tae and Jimin laughed out, holding onto their stomachs.

After you left the house, you went to the boys dorm, telling them all about it, which leads to where we are now, Tae and Jimin laughing their ass off from the story you told them of how sad Jungkook looked.

“I feel bad, guys! I think we should call this off and just tell him what we really had planned,” You sighed.

“Oh come on, YN. It’s just a joke! He’ll laugh to this later on, trust me,” Jimin defended, Tae nodding along. They were so evil, you couldn’t believe it.

“Okay, fine,” You groaned, “so what the hell are we going to do until dinner?”

“Just hang out here, I guess,” Namjoon replied.

Jungkook waited 30 minutes. 30 minutes of looking at the door, hoping you would come back in saying this was all a joke, and that you actually DIDN’T miss his birthday. You were all just excited last week, telling him how your birthday was so soon, and now you suddenly forgot? This was insane.

With a huff, Jungkook stopped waiting and went into the kitchen to make himself some ramen. What was he gonna do until you come home? Hang out with the boys? He didn’t mind that, but he really wanted to spend today with his favorite girl.

Jungkook tried to make himself busy all day. To push away the fact that you were out at the mall, hanging out with your friends instead of your boyfriend, the BIRTHDAY boy.

He had many, many birthday messages and calls all day, but the one he was most looking forward to was yours. Maybe you would remember throughout the day and call or text him, wishing him a happy birthday and that you were on your way home. But nope, none of that have happened and it was already 7:00pm. He hated this feeling so much.

“Surprise!” You yelled out along with the boys, a huge smile on your face.

“What- what is this?” Jungkook asked, confused written all over his face.

“A birthday dinner for you. Because today is your birthday,” You stated the obvious, giggling.

“I thought you forgot,” He frowned.

“Aw, baby! I would never forgot about your birthday. Today was just all a prank. I wanted to get back at you from the last prank you did on me,” You went over to him.

“You’re so mean! I’ll never forgive you,” Jungkook pouted, turning away from you.

“Jungkookieee,” You tried to get his attention, “Baby, I’m sorry. Please don’t be mad at me,” you frowned, wrapping your arms around him, then laying your head down on his back.

It was a minute before he put his hands on top of yours, turning around with a smile on his face.

“I’m not mad at you, jagi. Okay, maybe a little, but nevertheless, thank you for this,” Jungkook whispered into your ear as he hugged you tightly.

“Happy birthday, my love,” You smiled.

Christmas was possibly your favorite holiday ever. The vibes you would get made you feel like a little kid all over again. Plus, Christmas decorating was the cherry on top. And since you’re spending this Christmas with your roommate, also known as your long-term crush, everything just fell into place.

While you were so busy rummaging through your box of Christmas decorations you have brought from your parents home, you didn’t even hear Jin come through the front door of your little shared dorm.

“Woah, what’s that?” Jin asked, startling you.

“Oh my gosh, Jin! You scared me,” You jumped slightly, holding your hand over your heart.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to!” He chuckled, “Anyways, what’s that box for?”

“Christmas decorations for our dorm! We need to spice this boring place up for Christmas feels,”

“You’re crazy, you know that?” Jin smirked, raising one of his eyebrows up.

“But you still love me as your roommate!” You giggled, “Now help me,”

“Higher! Okay, now just a tad bit lower… there!” You clapped your hands together as Jin just finished putting the last ornament up on the tree.

“Y/N, I’m tired! Can we take a break?” Jin whined.

“Take a break? Jin, we’ve been only decorating for 30 minutes! And it was just our Christmas tree!” You laugh, throwing your head back a little, “What? Is there glitter on my face?” You asked after your laughs quiet down, noticing Jin was staring at you with a huge smile on his face, causing you to blush slightly.

“You’re kid, cute,” He blurted out, realizing what he said before his ears started turning red, “I- I mean, uh, let’s get on with decorating!”

You nodded, looking away before he got the chance to see how more red your face got.

After an hour or so, you and Jin finally got done decorating the dorm. You walked around the place, the biggest smile plastered on your face, admiring all the Christmas details you two managed to put up.

Jin clutched the small mistletoe in his hand behind his back, watching you from afar. He hurriedly hung it up as soon as your back faced him.

“Mm, Y/N, come check this out!” Jin coughed, motioning you to come over as you looked at him.

His heart was pumping at each step you took as you got closer and closer to him.

“What is it?” You question, standing right in front of him.

“We’re uh- we’re under the mistletoe,” He smiled shyly, looking away as he scratch the back of his neck.

You looked up and surely, you two were under the mistletoe. Heat rose up to cheeks once again, clearing your throat before answering, “Yeah- I guess we are, hm?”

You two just stood there for what felt like hours, looking around to see who would make the first move until Jin finally got fed up, and the mutual pining you two shared. It was clear to you AND everyone else.

“Well? Are you going to kiss me?” Jin teased, a smug look on his face.

“What do you mean, me? You were the one to call me over here,” You fought back, taking a step closer.

“Yeah, but you obviously put this mistletoe up so it’s clear you wanted to kiss me,” He pushed.

“What?! I did no such thi-” You tried to defend until you were cut off by a pair of lips.

You kissed back instantly, standing on your tippy toes to deepen the kiss as you wrapped your arms around his neck, softly tugging his hair.

“I love testing you,” Jin chuckled as he pulled away, seeing you chase his lips with your eyes still close.

You reconnected your lips, “Oh shut up,” mumbling against his mouth as you continued kissing him.
