I saw just now a TikTok by @/ghxstslvr saying that if Ghost was a season he would be Winter. While I get why he would be Winter, in my mind he is Fall.

Because yes, he can be cold, but if you actually look at him he is full of warm colors and layers.

Fall is a season when plants and trees kill parts of themselves to get ready and be able to survive the harsh Winter that's coming.

And Ghost killed Simon to survive, so Johnny can revive him when he is ready.

And Fall is SO giving if you actually look close enough. You can find mushrooms and fruits, forest are beautiful in Fall.

I think that Ghost also gives and gives and gives- only if you actually get to know him.

Saw someone comment something like Soap fell first but Ghost fell harder and I literally cannot stop thinking about it. Like the thought of Ghost finally being able to open himself up to someone, even if it’s just a little, then turning into absolute admiration towards Soap because he didn’t react the way Ghost had convinved himself he would is the sweetest thing. I also think Soap’s love language is physical touch (and acts of service) so Ghost is overwhelmed by it at first but slowly becomes used to it and even returns the touch sometimes AGGFHDHDNDB— Ghost’s love language is DEFINITELY quality time so having Soap just in his presence immediately soothes him and the entirety of 141 probably notices it too LMAO

as a way of coping, ghost doesn’t usually tell the truth about where his scars are from, because he doesn’t like dwelling on the past, and he doesn’t ever see a need for dredging up old memories that he was never able to fully recover from.

no one ever thinks anything of it, nor can they even tell that ghost is lying, because people in their line of work are just expected to have scars, interesting stories behind them or not.

for soap, though, ghost tells the truth. he’s honest about every one of his scars, no matter how painful their history, because he thinks soap is worthy of knowing. he doesn’t think soap will pity him, or treat him any different, and he’s right. soap doesn’t.

ghost tells soap every story one night, for every scar soap hadn’t seen or asked about, and for every scar he knew intimately. soap never interrupts, only tracing the ridges and divots that litter ghost’s skin, occasionally pressing kisses to the ones he knows had caused ghost the most pain, both physically and mentally.
