I long for a body that is not my own for this one is far too beaten. My emotional scars bleed through my skin not as strong as the armour I once wore. No longer the delicate Porcelain doll I was in my earliest years.   

I long for a new mouth for mine is far too quiet but far too loud altogether. Refusing to say the words that hold heavy on my tongue. The words that wrap around my throat and suffocate me with regret. 

I long for a mind that is not my own for this one is too clouded by all the last words and last breaths. How can there be so much going through your head but nothing at all?

I long for a heart that is not my own for mine is far too heavy and paints my veins in ugly shades of loneliness and longing for something. Anything really, anything that will soothe the dull ache where my heart should be.

I long for someone to understand that I am no longer the warrior I once was, no longer the indestructible soldier with a heart made of stone.And to be honest I never really was. Not all the stories are true

.I long for the unfamiliar feeling of warmth, a feeling I lost the ability to bask in all those years ago. A feeling that’s loving grip was ripped away from me as the hurricane rips away the trees from their roots. 

I long for the feeling of settlement like how the water settles after a storm. The feeling of knowing that there will be no more uneasiness and no more bitter good-byes. Maybe one day I will find the peace I long for.
