Hey loves, part I to "The Devil's Rose" may come out later than I intend it too, I have some issues going on. But!- 👀 I do have a quick summary of the story.

Felix, Chris, and Y/N make a visit to an old friend of theirs, Jisung, after a complicated interaction with spirits at an inn. Though it was unfortunate, Y/N did learn from Jisung that she has flaws in her medium abilities.

❗️❗️(Note: From the snippets post I made, some things have changed in the plot, but the overall storyline remains the same.) ❗️❗️

⭐︎ IN COLLABERATION WITH @red-airhead ⭐︎ PAIRING: HYUNJIN X READER ⭐︎ WC: 1.1K ⭐︎ CW: PET NAMES (BABY, LOVE, DEAR, DARLING), KISSING, SOME DOUBT

 C H T W O : R A D I O W A V E S

Hyunjin made Y/n rest before she did any further research into Miroh or tried to find his friends. Forcing her to just relax for a few days before she went back to the lab and their normal routine. Her first step was talking to some of her coworkers who worked more in intergalactic communication. She heard a few things that they had gotten some things but didn’t know how to decode or even guess.

It was easier than she thought. Scientists were curious by nature so her asking about communicating with extraterrestrial life wasn’t out of the norm. She managed to get some information out of a few colleagues about their process of communication. She took that information and worked on it in her lab until Hyunjin came to pick her up, conveniently right as she had an epiphany.

“Jinnie!” Y/n turned as soon as she heard the door open.     “Hi dear.” He smiled

“Where’s your ship?” She asked, making him stop midway over to her

“What?” He asked, not sure he heard her right.

“Where’s your ship?” She asked again

“Why?”     “Well, I subtly interviewed some colleagues on extraterrestrial communication and I was just fiddling with ideas all day then before you came in I thought about your ship. Where is it?”

“Two hours away in some woods?” Hyunjin was even more confused now

“Let’s go!” She exclaimed, grabbing her things.

“Right now?!”     “Yeah. Is that a problem?”     “No, but, I’m not sure anything is salvageable from it.”

“We won’t know until we check?”

“You’re not letting up, are you?”

     “Not at all, love.”

Hyunjin sighed as he agreed. Y/n pecked his lips before dragging him out of the building. “We’re getting food first,” Hyunjin said as they got into the car.

     “Takeout?” Y/n smiled

“Better feed me while I drive.”

     “Okay.”

Hyunjin stopped at the nearest food place and ordered dinner for them before they started the two-hour drive. Y/n was glad she opted to work on her laptop today. Pulling it out and going over a bit more information she had gotten from her colleagues after hooking it up to her phone's hot spot.

“Why are you still working?” Hyunjin asked as he placed a hand on her thigh.

“Because I haven’t dealt with engineering since college. I wanna make sure I can figure out how to make a transmitter if salvaging your ship doesn’t go well.” Y/n told him as she kept reading.

“Is it gonna distract you if I turn on music?” Since he came to Earth, human music has become one of his favorite things, especially since there are so many types on the planet.

“No. Just keep it low please?” Y/n asked

     “Of course darling.”

Hyunjin turned on one of the playlists the two of them had made together. He kept the volume low like she asked, occasionally tapping the beat into her thigh which made her smile.

She would turn the music up a bit when she needed a break from her screen and just chill to the music with her boyfriend. It made the two-hour drive more bearable, especially as it got darker. Night settled in as they got into the woods.

Hyunjins parked the car off to the side of the road. “It’s not far from here. Just a short walk.” Hyunjin got out of the car first before walking around to the passenger side.

Y/n put her computer away as he got to her side and opened the door. Hyunjin helped her out of the car before closing and locking the vehicle.

He kept a hold of her hand as he led the way into the woods, using their phone flashlights to see in the dark. Y/n was glad she didn’t wear heels to the office today because walking in the woods in any form of heel would have for sure caused a broken ankle.

“There it is,” Hyunjin finally said.

Clear in the opening sat a ship. Covered in the forest but you could tell it was an alien ship.

“How did we not know about something this big crashing?” Y/n asked, beelining it to the craft

“Cloaking. It shut off with the rest of the system when it hit the ground.”

There was a large indent on this tail where the meteor had hit him. Y/n looked around for any exposed panels or a way inside. She laid her hand on one part of the ship to look underneath.

She heard a door open and jumped back as her boyfriend joined her side. “Emergency systems,” he said grabbing her waist with one hand.

“Is communication part of your emergency system?” Y/n asked

“I don’t work on the ships. Just fly them.”

“You should know how your whole ship works before you fly.”

Y/n lifted herself into the ship, Hyunjin following suit as she walked to the helm. “Can you come and translate babe?” Y/n asked as she looked over the console

Hyunjin leaned over behind her and pressed a few buttons. Nothing happened which wasn’t surprising. He pointed to the communications panel and then got out of her way so she could work.

Y/n managed to get into the wiring system. She could make some sense of it all. Similar to Earth tech but far more advanced.

“Are you doing alright baby?” Hyunjin asked

“Yeah,” Y/n said and connected a couple of wires before a low whirl was heard

“What…” Hyunjin said as Y/n sat up from her position

“And you said it wasn’t worth it.”

“Maybe humans are smarter than we give you guys credit for.”

Y/n glared at him before he apologized and peppered kisses all over her face. Mumbling how beautiful and smart she was and how much he loved her before he stopped. He heard something on his radio.

     “What’s that?” Y/n asked

“Miroh’s language,” Hyunjin moved over to the console and messed with it till it was clear to him.

Y/n listened even though she had zero clue what was happening. Her boyfriend was talking with whoever was on the other end. Facial expressions said it wasn't going too well. Then the whole ship shut down again.

“Jinnie?” Y/n asked as they sat in the dark.

“That was my friends. huh…” Hyunjin sighed, “told them what happened, and they locked onto the ship before it crashed.”

“That’s great!” Y/n jumped, pulling him into a hug.

“Were you serious? About coming back to Miroh with me?”

     “Why wouldn’t I have been?”

“Would you really give up your whole life here for me?” Hyunjin grabbed her face, trying to find the answer in her eyes.

“In every life, I would.” Y/n smiled before pulling him down for a kiss.

Be careful who you steal from: The Pendant

Be Careful Who You Steal From: The Pendant
Be Careful Who You Steal From: The Pendant
Be Careful Who You Steal From: The Pendant

Stealing from Demon!SKZ

Be careful who you steal from

You’re not sure where the rain came from that poured down like it wasn’t sunny five minutes ago but you ran for better cover.

You ran for the first door you saw through the blinding rain. Plowing into the place, you seem to have startled the man in front of you. You looked at him with wide eyes as he simply looked back with a raised brow. “Follow me, you’re soaking my carpet.” you look down to see the way you're dripping onto the burgundy floor below.

Apologetic, you follow him quietly. As you do, you finally look around to see where you are. Knick knacks and oddities are everywhere. You almost bump into him as he’s stopped at a display to put the book you didn’t notice he was carrying onto the display’s stand. The hourglass in the middle full of black sand was emptying fast but never appeared to fun out as you stared.

“Can I help you?” he asks, passing you a towel.

“Oh thank you.” you say quietly. “I just came to escape the rain.”

“What rain?”

You turned to gesture to the large windows but saw the sun pouring in. Your mouth opened to speak but had no words.

“In any case, you can dry off for a bit. We aren’t very busy today.”

You nod, still looking out the windows.

“My name is Taehyung. Let me know if you need anything.”

As you offer your name in return, you look back to see he’s gone. Instead, you see a sparkle in the case opposite the book. A simple necklace with a pendant that looks like a compass over a gorgeous red jewel. Before you even realize it, you find yourself reaching for it. You stop yourself just shy of touching it. You pull your hand back taking a few steps.

You search around for Taehyung but he’s nowhere to be found. As you look back it’s almost as if the jewel is glowing darker red.

Weird things are happening right now.

With common sense taking hold you make for the door. As you fling it open, a crack of lighting illuminates the curtain of blindling rain, wind hitting your face harshly. You slam the door shut

As you grab hold of it, you feel eyes watching you. You glance up to see Taehyung leaning on the railing grinning at you from above. His grin spreads wider as the door swings open. The wind of the store flows through the store surrounding you. You close your eyes and shield yourself with your arms. It lasts for a few seconds but when you slowly lower your arms everything around you is dark and decrepit. No lights and every bit of shelving and racks are empty except for the scores of cobwebs and dust. You look up to no longer see Taehyung but a man with glowing red eyes.

Gasping in horror, you back away but find yourself bumping into something. A quick turn puts you face to face with another man, two others at his side. Their eyes glow red as well. Backing up again to where you just were, the same thing repeats with four men this time blocking your way. Trembling in fear, you stare at the unmoving men. After a moment, the man from above jumps down. The four men part making way for the first one, who must be the leader, to walk slowly toward you with a devilish grin. “Pretty isn’t it?”

When you don’t answer, he gestures to your hand. You open it to find yourself still tightly clutching the red necklace.

“It belongs to us.” He states.

“I-I’m so sorry. Here, here you can have it back.”

“No, no darling. By all means keep it. In fact,” He takes it from you, going behind you to lay it gently on your neck.  One steps up to hand you a mirror. As the first man does the clasp, he gets closer to your ear as you watch him in the reflection. “It looks better on you.”

You look around to them as you still try to register what is happening. “T-Thank you. Can I-I go home now?”

A deep laugh comes from one of them, “Of course.” They start to walk towards the exit of the now dilapidated shop. The one behind you grabs your hand, pulling you with him. As you step out, you freeze, clearly not where you were before.

The leader laughs at your expression. “Dorthy, isn’t in Kansas anymore, hm?”

“But you said I can go home.” you say, tearing up.

He fake pouts, turning to cradle your face in his hands. “Aww little angel, you are home.”

Your eyes widen as he starts to smile. “The necklace called to you didn’t it? You took it because you wanted to be with us.

“Now you’ll be with us forever.” Another says.

“The SKZ pendant doesn’t make mistakes. And there is no way to undo what is done.” The tallest one adds.

You feel lightheaded and start to drop as your consciousness fades but someone catches you. “Chan hyung, will she be alright?”

“Don’t worry, innie, our girl will be fine. She just needs time to adjust.” He crouches down in front of you. His glowing red eyes stare into yours through your blurry and fading vision. The last thing you hear sends chills down your spine. “Now she has forever.”

This makes me wanna tear up a little, it's so cute. 🥺

whoa (mind in awe)🕸️

Ve’s note - hyunjin x f.vampire au . sfw but there are mentions of blood and biting because yk vampire . honestly this fluff with a supernatural twist. sorry for being inactive for so long school is draining but I'm back and taking requests for hard and soft thoughts/ headcanons/ prompts all that good stuff. not proofread ofc. might do a part 2 but only if it’s requested :) enjoy my bees ! <3

Whoa (mind In Awe)
Whoa (mind In Awe)
Whoa (mind In Awe)

"I'm still not understanding why you have to feed from other people when I'm right here." hyunjin stated with his signature pout as you came home a little late from a feed. You and Hyunjin had been dating for a while, and you never hid who you were from him. You were soulmates, after all, bound to be together. After 450 years on this earth by yourself, you were ecstatic to find your mate in the form of the handsome painter who was in love with you at first sight.

He walked up to you and draped his arms around your body. as you took off your coat. Seeking comfort in the warmth of his mate. Hyunjin never flinched at the sight of you after a feed. In fact, he took it in stride. His only issue was that you fed on other people instead of him. Deep down, he was jealous; what was so different about him that his partner had to outsource to keep herself fed. You always assured him he wasn't the issue, but he couldn't stop his inner securities from taking over sometimes.

"I've already told you thousands of times why hyune. It's not safe. I could hurt you." You said as you took a deep sigh and breathed in his scent. Oranges and spring water. You welcomed his scent after being around other people and their smells all day.

Your statement caused a frown on his face, and you immediately wanted to wipe it off. You hated being the reason why he experienced any negative emotions. He grabbed your hand and led you to the bed, motioning you to sit down. Hyunjin didn't say anything for a while as he removed your heels from your feet. Once he had successfully removed your shoes, he rubbed your legs, easing any tension you had in your body from the day. You looked down from where he knelt at your feet, his beautiful eyes simultaneously speaking so many words.

'You could never hurt me, my love. Never in a million years." Maybe it was his hands on your body, the warmth radiating from his veins, warming your insides, or the sincerity that bled from his words. He indeed believed what he said. Hyunjin believed in you. In a way that no one ever has.

"Okay." you said simply as you connected your hands with his. The smile on his face was enough to make your dead heart start pumping again. If he believed in you, then you could believe in you.

“It’s the third ball we are arranging just for you, son,” the king says, visibly exhausted because the prince has yet again rejected his parents’ offer of a festive gala to meet a possible future wife.

“You need to finally make a decision who you want to wed, darling,” the queen adds, visibly tired because the prince yet again isn’t ready for his predetermined future.

Felix has had enough – his whole life has been the same, keeping up with royal chores and living up to his parents’ expectations. Now, the newest addition to the collection of his troubles – that he's aware of coming from a privileged position – is to marry a woman he doesn’t know.

It’s something common, after all that’s what marriage is for. It’s there to merge families together and in his special case, it has the small consequence of combining two kingdoms and assuring long reign and power.

But Felix doesn’t even think about all those things on a daily basis – all he wants to do is spend time outside with his best friend, Changbin, and look for his one true love in a natural way. Yes, he’s aware that’s not what marriage is about, but since he’s started reading all these books his parents had successfully hidden from him up until now, his imagination has begun running free.

That’s why he finds himself outside yet again, a symbolic gesture of escaping the castle and therefore his parents and their orders, just to spend some time with his best friend, going for a walk and occasional hunt like they always do.

The weather is even better than the last few days, no clouds up there to hide the beautiful blue of the sky, giving Felix both an astonishing view and a better look for possible prey. The prince doesn’t see hunting as a sport, he rarely even does any harm to animals – if he’s completely honest, he’s never even aimed at one, but he still calls it that.

Changbin has told him many times before that what the both are doing is rather just watching birds in the sky, the way their wings glide in the wind and how free they must be, contrary to Felix’s destiny.

“What are you planning to do?” Changbin asks out of a sudden, searching for his younger friend’s eyes that are focused on the path underneath his feet. They’ve walked quite some distance now, already deep in the woods on their awaited clearing where they are promised a better view.

“With what?”

Changbin’s posture softens, before he halts in place and looks at Felix, “About the ball. About marriage. Just in general.”

Felix sighs, stopping his movements now as well. “I sincerely don’t know. I wish the odds would be in my favour for once and all magically the princess of my dreams would appear.”

Changbin chuckles, laying his hand on the prince’s upper arm. “You’re a die hard hopeless romantic, aren’t you, my prince?” Felix giggles now, too, realising how delusional his words must have sounded.

“Shall we get going, hm? Get your mind off of things?”

A few minutes later the both enter their destination, a green field of flowers surrounded by the forest. Despite being here for what feels like the thousandth time, Felix is left speechless once again, when he’s in the centre of Mother Nature’s greatest gifts. The prince takes a deep breath, allowing the oxygen to lay in his lungs for a few seconds, before he lets the air escape again.

“Better?” Changbin asks.

“Much better.”

“So, are you ready for hunting?”

Felix scoffs, looking at his friend, “What do you mean?”

The older one sighs. “You know what I mean. You wouldn’t even be able to hurt a fly, Lixie.”

“Don’t ‘Lixie’ me. I can. I just prefer to watch the birds, you know? I find liking the way they dance around in the sky – must be nice having so much freedom.”

Changbin’s posture shrinks, just like earlier. He gets a bit closer to his friend, inviting him in a hug which he accepts. Neither of them speak for a second, just appreciating each other’s presence, before Felix’s eyes find something so beautiful many meters above him.

“Look,” he tells Changbin and his friend instantly loosens his grip around the prince, taking a step back, before his head snaps in the same direction as Felix’s.

“Beautiful.”

Felix nods. “Really beautiful. I’d prove to you that I’m good at hunting but I feel as if this swan is too pretty to kill it anyway.”

Changbin chuckles, trying to believe his friend for once. A minute later, Felix has convinced him to walk a bit further, following the sight of the mesmerising bird, until they’re as far away from the castle as they’ve never been before.

“Shouldn’t we head back, my prince?”

Felix hesitates. “We should, but I don’t want to.”

“It’s getting dark soon,” Changbin reminds him of the obvious, but he’s just showing his caring nature like he always does when it’s about his friend.

“I know. I’m aware. Just– you can go back already, if you wish to. I want to stay here a bit more,” Felix confesses, his eyes glued to his surroundings – the different flowers painted in the light of the sunset.

“Are you sure about that?”

Felix takes a deep breath with rather comes off as a deep sigh. “Please– I promise I’ll attend that ball, just let me have this last time of freedom.”

It’s a trade he offers, after all Changbin has sworn to the royal family to keep an eye on the prince. It’s hard standing between two sides – promising to follow the king’s and queen’s orders but stay a loyal friend to the prince. But he’ll think of something.

“If that’s what you wish, I won’t get in the way of it.”

And that’s the last thing Changbin says, before he disappears in the woods again.

Felix hasn’t even come that far over the past half an hour. All he’s done is follow that beautiful swan, truly mesmerized by the living being, until he ends up in yet another clearing but this time even more alluring than the usual one and he wonders why he and Changbin haven’t strived further before.

He approaches the swan from a fair distance, the last thing he wants right now is to scare the animal off after he’s come so far. Felix will just stay here for a few moments longer and then slowly head back to the castle, keeping in mind how he’s ended up here so he’ll be able to come back to this breathtaking place once more.

The prince is already on his way to turn around, when a brightening light enters his vision, taking in the corner of his eye and when he gets back to his previous position, the swan he’s admired from afar transforms into a human.

It can’t be, he thinks to himself. This only happens in the books he likes to read. He halts in his place for a second, trying to comprehend what is just happening, until the human, now dressed in a gown made of feathers and a shimmery crown added to their head approaches him.

“How come you found this hideout?” You ask, once you’ve approached Felix further.

He’s left speechless. The prince thinks his heart is exploding at the nearest second, while his knees go wobbly, his head heaving problems to differentiate between up and down.

“Sorry, my bad,” you begin again, “I’m Y/N. Or like my people call me – the swan princess.”

Felix is getting there, he can sense himself coming back to reality again, but only some babbling leaves his mouth.

“Are you a prince?” You ask, judging from his clothing.

“Y-Yes, I’m prince Felix.”

“Oh, nice to meet you. Can I or my people offer you something? Would you like some tea, perhaps?”

It takes some time for him to feel comfortable, you blame it on the shock he must have had on his face when he witnessed your swan figure turn into the human you’re now.

“So,” you begin once Felix is seated with you, surrounded by your closest friends but you make sure to stay right beside him. “What made you follow me, dear?”

Oh, god. As if Felix hasn’t just recovered from his mind running in circles, he’s once again hit with your straightforwardness, completely mesmerised by your aura. If the prince didn't already believe in love at first sight, he would definitely now. Or at least utmost attraction for another human being.

“I– I’m so sorry,” he instantly goes into a defensive mode, a skill he’s learnt over the years.

“Don’t you apologise, okay? I’m just curious. No one has ever gotten lost here, ended up in the magic forest.”

“The magic forest?” He asks again, as if he’s surprised. After all he witnessed you transform from a swan into a princess mere minutes ago. You laugh at his reaction – Felix is an adorable person and you’re sure you’ll grow to liking him very quickly.

“Hm, the magic forest. That’s where we are. I can explain everything to you further, but only in case you tell me what was the reason you came here. We should build this conversation on trust, you know?”

Felix nods, still completely dumbfounded but he’s eager to know more, to learn more, to find out more about this special place and more so about you.

“I– I watch birds– I know it sounds weird but they fascinate me and your a-are a very pretty swan– don’t g-get me wrong you’re an even prettier p-princess as a human, you know, but that’s why I followed you a-and–“

You interrupt him, “Slow down, Felix. It’s alright. I was just curious, that’s all to it, yeah?” He nods again.

“And thank you,” you continue, “you’re a handsome prince as well.”

That’s the moment Felix is convinced he will faint at your words as he’s basically waiting to wake up from this dream of a lifetime.

But he doesn’t. It’s real. He feels it when you lay your hand on his lower arm for the first time, slowly caressing his skin as a gesture of reassurance, wanting to make him feel calm – but doing quite the opposite with your actions, as Felix’s heart is racing at lightning speed by now.

“I just wanted to make sure you’re not a hunter or anything,” you explain further.

“No– I’m not. Well, my best friend Changbin and I, we always call it that but we’ve never done harm to anyone. We just watch birds and wander around. T-That’s all.”

You give him a warm smile and he replies with a similar expression and it’s the first time you finally notice him loosen up a bit.

“So, now I have some clarification to do, don’t I?”

You suggest one of your servants, Yunho, to get more tea for the guest and you. Your people have always stuck to you, granted you loyalty even after all these years because you’ve never treated them as anything below you. Even though they’re your servants, technically, you’ve considered them close friends all these years. You’re in this together, after all.

“Some years ago, on my eighteenth birthday there was a spell put on me, and therefore on my people,” you gesture around, looking at your friends, “that made us turn into swans.”

Felix gulps, unsure how to process the information.

“We’ve been lucky to find the magical lake, whenever we drink from it on a daily basis, it’s safe we’ll turn back into our natural form as long as the sun is down. That’s all we’re given.”

Felix shuffles around in his seat, unsure where to look until his eyes meet your own, pricking with tears and it’s the first time he sees you this way – so small, so hurt, so vulnerable.

“Who’s responsible for that– how can we stop this– how is it–“

“There’s no way, Felix. The evil sorcerer lives close by and he watches every move we make or instructs his daughter Odine to do so. We’re doomed. The few hours at night is all we have.”

Felix shakes his head in disbelief and it’s the first time you see him so angry, so furious, so emotional now.

“I’ll stop him. I know I said I’m not doing any harm. But this has to stop. I will tell my men to come here and they will end him.”

He wants to kill him.

“Felix, stop. Don’t do this.”

“What– why not?! Just because of how you view me– I’m a powerful man even though I don’t show it. Just tell me where that bastard hides and I will get a hundred men that will execute him.”

You sigh, taking his hand in yours.

“If he gets killed, the spell will never be broken. It’ll live with eternity then.”

Felix’s eyebrows scrunch together, sensing the defeat and helplessness.

“Then how do we stop this, princess?”

Now you’re the one to feel your head get dizzy. Felix finally feels comfortable around you, safe enough to show you he really wants to help.

“It’s true love.”

Undying love can’t be built over night, you’re aware of that – even with the attraction, that magic bond that has been between the prince and you right from the beginning. But it’s still not enough to break that spell.

However, it doesn’t prevent Felix from coming here every night and whenever he’s not busy studying he grants you a visit at daylight as well – no matter if you’re in your natural form or the spell you’ve been put on.

Felix just enjoys every minute spent with you, even though he’s been feeling watched lately, since the evil sorcerer and his daughter have been observing the area around the lake a lot. They don’t do much, except for taking notice of the situation and the sorcerer telling his daughter jokes, her shrill laugh echoing through the woods every time.

But the prince is aware of the risk he’s taking – mainly when it comes to his own life. It wouldn’t surprise him, if the sorcerer was hiding a cruel plan, possibly ending in Felix’s death. You’ve told him many times enough, warned him clearly what the evil one is capable of – anything and everything. But that doesn’t stop Felix. He’s sworn to stay by your side, he’s put all his hope and faith in you. He’s made a promise.

The following days and nights are spent calm, oddly calm if you’re both honest. The sorcerer and Odine haven’t paid you a visit in a while and all just seems so harmonious, oddly harmonious.

“What’s on your mind, my prince?” You ask Felix. After two weeks spent with you, he can still feel his knees getting weak and his heart fluttering at the use of the title. He usually hates it whenever he gets called a prince, but it’s different with you since you actually mean it.

Apart from that, you look so utterly beautiful in the dim moonlight. Felix wishes to focus on that, focus on the moment with you but he can’t.

“Tomorrow is the ball. The one my parents expect to end in an engagement.”

Your stomach does an uncomfortable twist at the confession.

“We’ll find a way to be together, I promise,” you say, laying your hand in his, squeezing it tightly before you place a soft kiss on his cheek. His face instantly gets tinted in a pretty shade of red, making you giggle.

He’s feared the day for weeks now, counting down the nights of his defeat, how he calls it. But there’s no escape. It’s his destiny he’s caught in and there’s no way back. He can’t break the promise yet again.

Felix is dressed in the prettiest attire, a shimmery fabric toned in silver and navy – the midnight blue shade reminding him of the time with you. It’s what he keeps onto. You’ve made a promise after all, didn’t you?

You told him you will find a solution, think of a way the both of you can be together even though you’ve never quite specified how to convert your plan into reality. If you even have a plan to begin with. Felix doesn’t know anything. All he knows is the fact he trusts you with his life.

The evening goes slower then he wishes to and on one hand he wants it to stay that way, an idea of stretching out the event and running away from his responsibilities, on the other hand he wants it to be over.

But it can’t be over. Not until he’s with you. And it takes him a lot of boring and uncomfortable dances with princesses from far away he’s never met before. It’s so suffocating, being here in this crowd, expected to enjoy it.

Until he spots you. Right there, wearing the pretty dress you’re always wearing, this time shimmering even brighter than usual. Felix can’t believe his eyes and he can’t believe the way his heart beat is pounding out of his chest in excitement either.

It sounds ridiculous, as if he thinks the fairytales in the book he reads are actually true but he’d be lying if he denied the feelings that he’s developed for you. Yes, he’s met you not that long ago but the few hours spent with you, whenever the sun disappeared and the sky welcomed the moon, he’s fallen for you more and more.

The prince is a hopeless romantic after all, that’s nothing new but he’s surprised by himself, too. Even though it’s not surprising per se – a princess from far away, fighting for freedom but being captured in a horrible nightmare of a life, destined to suffer under a spell.

His helping nature has been awakened the first time he’s spoken to you, all whilst he feels so comfortable, so vulnerable around you as well. It’s as if you know each other from a past life, as if you’re the other half of his soul he’s been searching for for eternity.

So, when he sees you entering the foyer, your eyes meeting him he can’t believe his luck.

Until you’re approaching him, closer and closer and when he tells the first small joke and a laughter echoes through the huge gallery – he’s aware it’s not you.

Even though you’ve thought about it for days, you can’t come up with any other plan than Felix confessing his possible love to you. But the more days that have passed, the less you believe he returns the feelings you keep secured in your heart for him.

That’s the evil trick with the spell – if you confess first, it doesn’t count. The one true love needs to be initiated by him. So, that’s the dilemma you’re caught in. The first trouble includes you can’t tell him to admit his affection towards you and in addition to that, you’re not even aware anymore if he has the feelings for you to begin with.

It’s all a big puddle of dirt, that’s what it feels like. You’re at defeat you believe. The only option for you now is to enter the ball uninvited, hoping the event will continue until the sun is down. That’s the only way to approach him.

So, a few minutes later, when the ball is in full swing, you’re on your way to the venue, the castle of Kingdom Lee. The weather is unreasonably stressful today – the coldness and stinging breeze hurting your feathers and blinding your vision makes everything both harder and dangerous.

When you finally get to your destination, fighting the wind in the air that feels like ice in your wings, you find a window to sneak a glance through it.

You watch closer.

And even closer.

As you spot the prince with none other than a faux version, an imprint of yourself. You can’t believe your eyes and for a moment you contemplate how high the odds are that there’s a doppelgänger out there of you – until you hear the laugh. That creeky, unbearable, shrill high pitched tone – so loud you can hear it cling through the glass.

You should have known. It was predictable after all, the evil sorcerer is capable of anything. You curse yourself for not releasing earlier, that he’ll use the first chance given, trying to make the prince his daughter’s husband – with the most insidious plan imaginable.

Your heart shatters into a thousand tiny pieces, a single tear running down your cheeks, colliding down the feathers on your face and you don’t know who’s the dumber one in this situation – you, not realising earlier that all this has been possible and predictable, or Felix, for falling for it.

After all, he should know, too. He knows you don’t transform into your real nature as long as the sun is up, you’ve explained it to him and you’re sure he’s listened. The longer you’re standing there, at the edge of the wall located near the window, the more you contemplate if he’s not actually that dense.

What if he’s wanted her all along? What if he’s aware that she’s not you but Odine? What if he’s just liked you for your appearance after all and that’s what it needed for Odine to change? To look like you, to walk like you, to smile like you but never in a hundred years behave like you, feel like you and think like you.

It doesn’t matter anymore, the damage is done and you fear you’re not making it back in time, so when Odine lays his hand in Felix’s, it’s your call to leave the venue. Quick beats of your wings carry you back to the clearing of the magic forest you call your home.

Felix has always been put in the worst situations. Felix has always been too close to the sun, not aware of the damage he’s doing to himself whenever he’s getting too close to his dreams, drowned in idealistic imaginations and delusional fantasies.

That’s what has brought him here now – his blindness created by the euphoria of seeing you here tonight, or at least a version of your image, has caused his brain to short circuit, turn off all the synapses to combine one rational thought with another.

He’s almost embarrassed – making such an obvious mistake to begin with.

But now he’s dancing here with that fake version of your beauty and the longer he has to talk to that woman, the more he realises who’s behind that facade. The laugh should have betrayed her way earlier but Felix had been too caught up in the moment.

Of course, it’s her. It’s part of his evil plan after all and he should have known. But now he’s caught in a conversation with Odine, knowing there’s no escape without breaking his parents’ hearts, when he thinks back to the promise he’s made.

This last ball will be enough. This last evening shall reveal the future princess and Felix has sworn not to leave the gallery without an engagement ring on a woman’s finger.

But promises are there to be broken, especially if he knows he’ll do more harm in the long run to the whole castle and all his people if he marries Odine and connects the evil sorcerer with his kingdom. His parents should forgive him. They have to and they will.

A few moments later he finds himself outside the castle, loud chaos of babbling being heard in the distance but the prince couldn’t care less. He has one final destination – finding you.

All while being chased by none other than the evil sorcerer and his daughter himself. Felix soon decides running won’t be enough but he can count on his horse, leading the way towards the woods.

But Felix manages to arrive on time, your figure already transformed into one of a human princess again. His heart breaks into a million pieces when he spots you there – sitting and crying at the lake alone, your tears mixing together with the sweet water underneath you.

“Y/N,” he sighs, his whispers almost inaudible but you still catch the sound of his voice.

“Go away– leave me alone.”

“Y/N, please,” he speaks again, this time a bit louder. Felix approaches you, your body looking so vulnerable. “Let me explain at least.”

“What’s there to explain?! Nothing matters anymore– I should have known. God– why do I even get my hopes up high? Of course you’ve wanted her all along. Odine but combined with my appearance. I might just stay a swan forever, there’s no purpose in believing in true love anyway.”

Felix has had enough. There’s no way he’ll lose you over a dumb mistake and his own stupidity.

"For god’s sake– Y/N.”

It’s the first time his voice is loud, practically at the verge of shouting and you’ve never seen him this way. Usually, you’re the waves, the sea storm, and he’s the anchor, holding you so tight, helping you feel calm.

“I was just overwhelmed– with seeing your face that I’m aware wasn’t your face there– I was caught in trance– but I realised it’s not you– it was her, I know that. It wasn’t my intention to betray you but I swear nothing happened.”

“So you didn’t put a ring on her finger?”

“Why on earth would I do that?! I am in love with you. I am in love with you as a person, your whole being– the way you think, the way you make me feel, just everything. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

Silence fills your surroundings for a second, as you don’t reply.

“You don’t believe me, huh?”

“I want to, Felix… I really want to.”

Felix sighs, before he rummages around in the pocket of his suit jacket. “Look– I'm not good with words around you, my head always starts spinning when you’re near and I feel like I’m losing my mind, like I can’t get enough of you.”

You turn around and look at him for the first time – he looks even more astonishing than he already does in general. The colour of his gown matches the night sky, a deep blue descending into the glittering view above him.

You’re both so caught up in the moment you almost don’t notice four footsteps approaching you, being attached to none other than the sorcerer and his daughter, back in her natural form again.

“Oh– did we interrupt something?” Odine giggles, her laugh threatening to cause severe pain in your ears.

“Prince Felix,” her father says now, “that ring in your hand, you forgot to give it to my daughter. But we can do this just now.”

“You would like that, wouldn’t you?” Felix smirks at him and your breath gets caught in your throat for a second, deeply impressed by his new certainty. “Well, it’s a shame I’ve had different plans as well.”

And that’s when Felix drops to his knees, his big eyes looking up at you.

“Y/N,” he begins, “I’m gonna repeat myself as many times as it’s needed. I’m in love with you, you’re all I’ve been looking for and the hope I’ve kept going on. Will you marry me and allow me to make you my princess?”

You’ve forgiven him a long time ago – you just wanted to make sure it wasn’t for nothing. Not as in a way you want him to marry you, but in a way that he really means what he said.

“I will. I love you so much, Felix.”

A few seconds later he brings the ring to the tip of your finger, slowly sliding it down. The metall clings to your skin perfectly, fitting like a glove. Once you look up again and direct your gaze at Felix’s face, you witness his eyes flicker down to your lips, completely ignoring the surrounding.

Until a loud explosion startles you, making Felix and you turn around to its source.

Where the evil sorcerer and his daughter stood a few seconds ago, there’s nothing left anymore except for two cuckoo clocks, having both their names stamped into them.

From now on, whenever an hour finishes, the both of them will be able to see the outside world for a few seconds, having to deal with an eternity of their destiny – as miniature birds.

Felix can’t help himself but let out a small giggle at the view. You join him in his laughter and you just enjoy the moment for a few seconds until all your friends enter the area around the lake.

“Princess, is it true?” Yunho asks, stepping closer to you.

“Hm, it is. We can finally return back home.”

The sound of crying and cheering echoes through the woods now and you suggest your people to lead the way, telling them you’ll need some time alone with Felix.

“Shouldn’t we stay closer to them and–“

He can’t finish his sentence, after all you want to continue what’s been interrupted a few minutes ago, as you lay your lips on his soft, plump ones. Felix hesitates for a second, but in an instant he grabs your cheeks, pulling you closer as he dives deeper into the kiss.

He tastes like everything you’ve ever needed, you’ve ever longed for and you’re at the verge of crying happy tears, knowing he will wake you up with a gesture like this from every morning now. The movements grow in passion, as his hands wander down to grip your hips in an attempt to have you even nearer although it’s not possible.

You instantly become addicted to the feeling of his mouth pressed against your own, of his taste lingering on his tongue when it touches your own, dancing to the rhythm of your kisses. Feeling yourself getting lightheaded, probably how Felix must have felt all this time all along, you moan against his lips for the first time.

He stops for a second and you’re afraid you’ve crossed boundaries, until he reassures you with his word in the most eager way, “I’m afraid I won’t be able to stop if we continue, my princess. And we should get going in case the others are waiting for us.”

You hum against his lips, when he continues kissing you. This time you’re the one to pull away. “Hm, but do you want us to stop? If you think about it for a second, do you want me to continue, Felix? Make you feel good?”

God, he doesn’t know how he's supposed to survive this. Just a few words are enough to make his trousers and the undergarments underneath grow uncomfortably tight, the fabric imprisoning the visual proof for his deepest desires when it comes to you.

“Don’t want you to stop–“ He mumbles.

“Then why don’t we go back to the lake and find a more cosy place?”

He follows you, as you take his hand in yours but when you get to your destination, a beautiful space under an old oak tree, his second guesses hit him again.

“It’s just–“ Felix begins again, unsure how to word his sorrows.

“Or we can stop– I don’t want to pressure you into anything, that’s the last thing I–“

“I’m inexperienced. And you seem not to be.”

The addition to his confession makes you feel a bit small, a bit insecure, as if he thinks less of you.

“Is that a problem for you, that I’m not a virgin?”

“Oh– god, no. That’s not what I meant.” Felix instantly gets aware of your face being filled with anxiety and self-doubt now. That’s the last thing he wanted. “I’m just afraid I won’t be able to…satisfy you.” The sentence loses its volume at the end.

“You will be, I promise. I will teach you.” A wink follows your suggestion and Felix shyly giggles at it.

“Why don’t I make you feel good for tonight, hm? As a little proof of how much I love you.”

He eagerly nods and a second later you’re back again with kissing him, but this time you leave a passionate trail all over his sharp jawline and his neck, before your lips wander down to his still covered chest. You open a few of the buttons, always making sure Felix feels pleasant about every move you make.

But at the latest, when you hear a soft moan escape his lips for the first time, you’re sure he’s wanted this all along as well. That’s when you drop to the ground, your pastel dress colliding with the floor underneath, the dirt colouring the fabric a few shades darker.

“Is it alright if I touch you here, my prince?” You askc your hands laying on his upper thighs, and Felix feels his cheeks heating up at the question. “Yes– please.”

In an Instant, your fingers dig into the fabric of his trousers, as you look up at him with seductive eyes, before your hand crawls north. You take your time with him but decide to hurry a little, when you notice the desperation written all over his face.

The belt loosens with a little help of yours and the clothing slides down his legs, as you make sure to grab his undergarments down in the same swift motion. Felix’s erection springs free, the tip so prettily covered in precum you believe you might drool at the sight.

Now with better access, you start placing kisses on his lower belly, upper thighs, as one of your hand comes up, seizing around his length. Felix moans at the contact and you look up for a second but when he gestures you to keep going, you do so.

Slowly stroking him, your eyes are still glued to his. “That feels– so good.” You pick up the pace a bit, not too much, but decide to add pressure.

“Better than when you do it yourself, hm?”

Oh, god. Felix fears he’ll come undone just by your words. Still, he manages to nod eagerly, “Way better– so much better. God.”

You chuckle at his confession, getting ready for your next move, before a string of your saliva lands on his length, being spread all over it with your hands. Felix can sense the stars from the night sky getting closer to him, when you put him inside your mouth for the first time.

After that, he believes he’s entered heaven, literally. You feel so good, so warm around him, especially when you pick up your pace again, your hand still seizing around the rest of his length you can’t fit.

The other one slips underneath your dress, passing the undergarments and finding your cunt drenched – not surprising at all. You decide to help yourself a little, smearing your own liquids over your folds before you dip two fingers inside, wanting to prepare for what’s yet to come.

Felix can sense himself getting close, dangerously close, that’s why he doesn’t hesitate but places his hand on your head, before the whimpers leave his lips, “Y/N, princess, please stop or else– I don’t wanna waste–“

That’s when you pull him out of your mouth. Your fingers appear from underneath your dress, before you slide the digits inside your mouth.

“We taste so good together.”

Felix chuckles at your straightforwardness, watching you get up from the floor. You align your lips with his, so he’s able to taste the mixture of your liquids and his own, too, and he moans at the sensation.

“Need– need more.”

You let out a helpless whimper, nodding eagerly, before you pull up your dress, sliding down your undergarments after.

“How– which position do you think–“ Felix asks, unsure how to continue.

“You can carry me, if that’s alright with you.”

The prince nods and a few seconds later, he has you pinned against the tree behind you, your legs circling around his waist, as he kisses you passionately. You want to drown in his touches, think about him and only him.

You help Felix with aligning his length at your entrance, before he slowly pushes himself into your aching wetness, stretching you out perfectly. He looks up at you again and you tell him to continue, as he starts thrusting into you.

His lips stay on yours throughout the whole moment, claiming you as his. You moan against him, feeling your walls grow tighter when his speed increases. Holding onto his shoulders for dear life, you let your head fall back, slightly hitting the tree behind you.

Felix places a kiss on your head, in an attempt to shush away the pain, even though it’s not the exact spot you hurt yourself. It makes you giggle for a second, until he changes his angle unintentionally, making you cry out in pleasure.

“Oh– right there, Felix, right there, right there, yes.”

A few seconds later, you come undone, reaching that sweet relief, chanting out his name as if it’s the only two syllables you’ve ever known.

“So good– you’re so good at this, my prince.”

It’s enough praise Felix needs, before he paints your walls wide, calming you as his. You both help each other ride out your highs and when he’s made sure your breathing is at a normal level again, he pulls out of you, placing your feet back on the ground.

The seeds spill out of you, but the prince uses the drenched undergarments to clean the both of you up – at least a little bit, as much as it’s possible for now.

“That was wonderful, you’re a dream come true.” Felix says, before placing a kiss on your forehead.

“I love you so much.”

“I love you too, Y/N.”
