Was randomly looking for background references when i started noticing how similiar some places looked to some of the arcana locations and i think it's amazing 😭

First picture to the left: Methane Bubbles under ice in Alberta, Canada.

First Picture to the right: Frozen lake, The Arcana.

Second picture to the left: Poveglia Island, Venice, also called "Lazzaretto".

Second picture to the right: The Lazaret, The Arcana.

And nothing to say, I just love spotting these kinds of locations artists took as references. Also Il Lazzaretto was really used for the plague back then.

Why is it necessary that a piece of art "condemns" or "normalizes" something. Is it not enough for art to say "here are some fucked up people in some fucked up situations for your enjoyment"? The art doesn't have to judge them and neither do you. It's for your enjoyment.

MC asks playfully, trying to look into Valdemar's eyes. For a few seconds Valdemar does not seem to notice. They were engrossed in a brand new anatomy atlas.

"Sex, or Sextans is the equatorial constellation. Located between Leo and Hydra."

Valdemar finally answered without taking their eyes off the page. Then added, stubbornly correcting another article right in the tome,

"And I'm not insisting that you have to feel the same way, but I am definitely insisting."

Julian, who was working in the Dungens that time, just passed by and overheard Valdemar's line.

"Oh, and you can call me Captain Uranus, right, Quaestor?" - and with a broad smile he tried to dogde a hand dressed in black. But he didn't sucсeeded and recieved a usual slap on his forehead, which didn't erase his smile and his joyful mood anyway. Slightly humming a tune, he headed towards the shelves carrying several test tubes with medical samples.
