A writer from the back of the room raises their hand.
"I do."
It's going to be a common mention in my upcoming fic Hail to the Chief. It's an AU where Peter warns Nathan of his impending death and he decides to make a deal to get the devil off his back. In exchange for Sylar making him president for two full terms before taking over and sparing him and his family, Nathan offers to give him something he wants more than power, or should I say, someone.
I hate how the writers never truly explored Sylar's og power to its full potential... He could put a clock to his ear and tell exactly what was wrong with it and how to fix it, which means his ability was not restricted to knowing how other people's abilities worked. Not even restricted to the abilities at all because he was able to cure Charlie. Sylar's capable of learning how any machine works and how anything in a brain works. He could literally learn any language just by listening and watching someone's brain but they never tried that. They never showed him understanding how something works except for clocks. It makes me SO mad. Sylar is overpowered but not because he has a bunch of powers, it's because of his original ability. He could turn into a mad scientist and speak all the languages in the world if he wanted, god I hate how they did not explore his ability at all.
"why do you even know that" i thirst for knowledge as the arctic tern chases a perpetual summer
