Her laugh brought him joy, sounding so much like the nickname he had given her,

When did he start liking her as more than a friend?

Damian and Marinette were currently on patrol. Them having taken a break after taking down a couple of petty thugs. He had been in the middle of recalling something when she laughed - beautifully, might he add - so out of the blue.

"What is so funny, Angel?"

"Oh. Oh nothing. It's just, you look hilarious when you pout." And then she was in a giggling fit, probably recalling how he looked.

Damian was about to protest. But then he thought,

Is it really worth fighting if the outcome of her teasing him was that angelic laugh?

No, of course not.

Suddenly, as if his mouth had opened of its own accord,

"I really want to kiss those beautiful lips of yours, Nette."

Damian's eyes widened and a growing blush was visible from his neck up.

Marinette went red in the face after she heard what he had said.

"Robin... I only think of you as a friend. Besides," At this she side-eyed him before elbowing him in the gut, "I'll knock you on your ass if you even think about it! "

And with that, she promptly tossed he yoyo and swung away, leaving a flabbergasted and friend zoned Damian behind.

Tonight on Doctor Who:

I think is quite funny that, in the DC fandom and Maribat fandom, the fanfic authors are always saying "I don't know much about this specific character(s) so they are probably OOC, sorry"

Like, I get it, you are concerned that you are not doing a good job, but just chill. DC make their characters OOC all the god damn time. Most of DC canon is like some fanfic that they was paid to make. Look at the New 52. Look at Roy Harper after the New 52. If DC can get away with this and say this is canon, you can write what ever the f* you want, even if is Damian smiling
