sorry to be a horrible apologist or whatever but i dont think people are really processing claudia's reaction to louis's cruelty properly like she CAN see through the performance her expression isn't "louis thinks i'm a burden and hates me :(" she's smarter and more self assured than that. it hurts her and disturbs her she wishes he could just be happy for her but she knows the reason for his anger is that outside of her he's nothing. nothing that he likes anyways. she's a little pitying. and she really does try to reach out nudge him back but he's unreachable. and she's finally maybe happy for once in her life his happiness can be not her problem anymore . the parent child tragedy of it all and the 1.06 parallel god..there's no point this time in saying "when he hurts you come find me" she's grown out of that she wants to LEAVE . but she loves him. she comes back to see him :(
