Summary: The new recruits get to have a taste of Y/N and Ghost does as well. She might've left a bit of a bitter taste on one specific recruit but not on Simon's tongue.
Warnings: Language, slight degrading, threatening

Y/N set down the boxes she brought with her from home filled with decorations. "This apartment needs a makeover." She talked to herself. With her music on, she started dusting and washing the place, occasionally flexing a move to the beat and singing along. Until she settled in, Price was generous to offer her a couple of days off to get to know their routine and to settle in her apartment comfortably. The living room was the first room that introduced the apartment, a couch and two armchairs adorned the area with a balcony to her left.
Walking right was a small kitchen with a dinner table and some chairs. The bedroom and bathroom were situated on either side of the corridor and a small office area where she could work on mission files. She couldn't complain as it was perfect for at least 2 people to live in.
Price was also generous to offer her her own office as a medic since she had the qualifications and nonetheless experience. Gaz, Soap and Ghost were decided to help her out with her luggage and boxes up to her apartment.
"Are ye plannin' on staying a decade?" Soap teased when he saw her unpack her clothes from the luggage and hang them into her wardrobe.
"With this occupation I don't think I'll make it that far." She giggled looking over to the boxes with labels on them. "Gaz, would you be so kind to take that box to the living room please? I don't know why I brought it in the bedroom to be honest." Gaz obliged and exited the room.

In the hassle of unpacking and cracking jokes, Ghost stayed silent until something caught his eye. From the corner of his eye, in the open luggage, he spotted something or more like some things that made his cock twitch. Underwear. Not just anyone's underwear. Lacey black and red underwater, thin strings (poor excuse for an underwear) that to his imagination could barely cover his palm. He swallowed hard as his eyes were glued to her lingerie. From thongs to g strings to lace underwear, Ghost felt his pants tighten and his face flush. Thank God for his balaclava.
"Ye alright Simon? Ye haven't said a word." Soap snapped him from his thoughts.
"Yeah I'm 'right." He said curtly.
"Ah, I didn't know your name was Simon!" Y/N exclaimed. Unbeknownst to her she took the exposed luggage that has Simon's undivided attention and pulled it towards the chest of drawers. "Is he any different from Ghost?" She teased as she folded her clothes in.
Ghost didn't even know how to answer her. Simon was a soft and a gentle man despite his past. Naturally, due to his line of work a tough shell is required and frankly he never sought to be in any relationships due to time (or the lack of it) and the dangers the job carries. He wouldn't fathom to put someone in danger or put them in a mentally challenging state especially if a mission goes south and he ends up on the other end of the gun. He wasn't selfish in that matter.
"Depends." He shrugged, praying she switches the topic. He never liked being the centre of attention although the mask he wore said otherwise. He looked over the apartment in general and took in the smell of fresh linen candles and talc, the blankets laid neatly on the couch and armchairs, the trolley full of books situated near one of the armchairs with fairy lights hanging around the living room.
It looked magical.
It looked like Y/N.
***
On Wednesday morning, Y/N woke bright and early for the new day. It was her first day training recruits. As soon as she opened the food she found Ghost in front of her closing his door as well.
"Ah, so we're neighbors as well." Y/N exclaimed, earning a scoff from Simon.
He hates me. She thought.
Why the fuck did I scoff? It was supposed to be a chuckle. He thought.
"I assume you're heading to the mess hall." Y/N said trying hey best to ignore the awkward moment.
"Yes we are." Gaz came up from behind them, putting his arms out until they tested on each of their shoulders. Together they walked together to the mess hall where they found Price and Soap already stuffing their faces in their breakfast.
"Good morning bonnie!" Soap smiled.

"Good morning lass." Price greeted her as she took a seat next to him, earning her a pat on her back. "Ready for the day? You've got your first class starting at 8am. You'll have Ghost with you just in case they cause you trouble." Ghost who was sitting opposite Y/N watching as she stuffed her face with food, nodding at Price.
She looks cute with her mouth stuffed. What the fuck Simon! Get it together! Simon mentally slapped himself. Lifting his mask above his lips, Y/N watched him sip his tea. His eyes never left her face as he swallowed.
***
While Ghost showed Y/N around, the recruits slowly filed in the training room, eyeing the sole woman amongst them. Some guffawed and some could barely walk from sleep.
"Good morning, I am Sergeant Y/N and I will be your instructor for the next couple of weeks. Lieutenant Ghost will be present today and will naturally be grading you according to your progress. Any questions?" Y/N scanned the boys in front of her.
"Actually I have one." A tall, lean boy walked towards her. "It's actually more of a concern really. How long do you intend on teaching us? Because frankly I don't want to fall back on our training due to...feminine distractions." His friends behind him chuckled and guffawed at his comment. Y/N looked behind her to find Ghost sitting on the box still, staring at Y/N waiting for her reply to the recruit. One could say that although Ghost had his poker face on, he wanted to punch the recruit in the throat for disrespecting her but he let her take the reins on this one.
Sucking her teeth and a breath in she stalked towards the boy, smirking. "What's your name recruit?"
"Thomas Boyd." He replied with a cocky grin on his face.
"Well, Thomas. If you get distracted easily, you shouldn't really be here... especially if you get distracted by a woman because I'm going to be here for a while." You retorted. Simon smiled under his balaclava, chuckling. Thomas, on the other hand, felt his cheeks grow red. Licking his lips, he brushed off the momentary embarrassment and quickly moved close in front of Y/N, face to face, looking down at her. Ghost immediately stood on his feet and flew behind Y/N. She was basically sandwiched between Ghost and Thomas. Feeling the presence behind her, she gently put a hand on Ghost's chest to tell him that she's fine without breaking eye contact with Thomas.
"If you think that a meek little girl like you can handle a group of men like us -" Thomas didn't get the chance to finish the sentence before Y/N actually pushed Ghost back, sending him stumbling, linked her right arm around Thomas's neck in a tight grip, pulled his body weight over her hips and slammed him to the floor. Two crossed knives were resting against Thomas's neck. Out of breath from the shock he felt the cold metal gently pressing against his carotid artery.
"This meek little girl could castrate you on the spot without you even noticing. So I suggest that you shut your mouth and run 20 laps. In fact, add another 5 to that until you learn your place with me. I am not here to be your friend. I am your superior and you will obey me whether you like it or not! If you don't I can show you or even better throw you out the door and trust me you won't find your way back here. So do not underestimate me. And since I'm suddenly feeling generous everyone will do the laps with you." Y/N spat, anger seething through her veins like venom. If looks could kill, Thomas would be a dead man. Her eyes were shooting daggers like icicles at him. Thomas tried to compose himself underneath her from the whiplash. His eyes traveled over to Ghost who was standing tall a few feet away from Y/N.
Lifting herself off Thomas, she looked at the rest of the class who were dumbfounded as she put her knives away. While Thomas laid on the floor in pure silence Ghost marched over to him grabbing him by the hem of his collar and pulling him to his feet with brute force. "You have a big fucking mouth for someone with such a small dick." Ghost whispered in his ear. "If I catch you opening your mouth to her unless it's an apology coming out, I will not only let her castrate you but I will rip you a new arsehole. Understood?" His grip tightened around his shirt. Thomas nodded frantically. Throwing him back on his friends, Ghost looked at the recruits in front of him.
"You heard her! 25 laps around the block! Go!" Ghost shouted. And they all scrambled together and started running for their lives. They had a new person to be scared of. Ghost walked back to Y/N who watched the initiates run.
"Are you okay?" He asked gently, looking over at her.

"Yeah," She replied. "Do you think I went overboard?" She asked him, looking up at the behemoth next to her. He chuckled.
"I told him I'd rip him a new one. So no, you didn't go overboard." He replied making her giggle softly. "You handled it well." He looked back down at her standing tall and confident next to him. The height difference would've made any girl envious.
"Come on, let's get some training in while they do their drills." Ghost lead Y/N to the mat a few feet away from them. As he watched dher hips slightly sway all Ghost could think about was that she was a little firecracker and that he was both a bit scared and turned on by it.
Focus Simon, for fuck's sake. Focus.

Ghosts & Banshees (Simon 'Ghost' Riley x Reader) - Part 3

Author's Note: Part 3 is here! Enjoy it! It gets better after this. - Minerva 🐦⬛
Summary: Ghost and Y/N get close during one of their training session. But how close is close enough for Simon?
Warnings: Language, physical combat, innuendos
•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
Y/N removed her right black jacket sliding it down her arms and over her shoulder, revealing her lean and muscular physique. Feminine but looks oh so strong. Ghost watched in awe as she put her brunette hair up in a ponytail. Her sports bra hugged her breasts together and her black leggings wrapped around her physique like a second skin.
He gulped trying to maintain his composure and trying to look around as much as possible to not get his pants feeling tighter than they are. Now, not a lot of things got to Ghost, between his abusive past and occupation he had a skin made of titanium. Yes, he had relations with women before but it never got in the way of his job. Until he met Y/N. He knew she was going to be a distraction, whether or a good one or a bad one he was unsure of but the way she jogged on the spot and doing her warm ups, he felt time slow down.
Snapping himself from his thoughts, he moved to the centre of the mat and soon Y/N followed, standing opposite him. She looked so small in front of him he was scared he would snap her in half. Not that it would take much. He could snap anyone in half just by looking at them let alone lay a hand on them.

Adjusting their positions, feet planted to the floor, fists fisted into balls in front of their faces, they looked in each others' brown eyes.
"Now don't go too easy on me Ghost." Y/N teased.
"I wouldn't worry about me, love" He said. The word just slipped from his lips without him being able to process it. In a split of a second, Y/N charged at him, slipping herself between his open legs, using her right elbow against his hips and her left elbow behind his knee cap making him fall flat on his back. Composing himself from the whiplash he looked up to find her staring down at him, smirking. He tried his best not to get a boner there and then. But Ghost wasn't one to lose.
"I would worry about you... love." She imitated him down to the accent. Her victory was cut short when from her crouching position Ghost managed to flip his body around her, securing an arm around her torso and flipping her underneath him, pinning her to the mat, his body between her legs. She looked at him breathlessly and flushed, her chest heaving up and down, touching his.
"Again, you're quick but you lack strength Sergeant." Ghost said lowly, almost a growl. In the meantime, Price, Gaz and Soap were helping themselves in front of them. With a cocky smirk, Y/N looked down between their bodies. So close to each other they were sharing each others' heat.
"Tell me Ghost," She sang. "How do you like your eggs? Diced or scrambled?" Looking down as well, Ghost saw her knee and a small knife between his legs, gently pressing against his crotch. No amount of restraint in the world for a man to hold back from the dirtiest thoughts.
"Whole." He replied, making Y/N laugh. He pulled himself up on his feet and offered a hand to help her get up. But Y/N was not one to go down easily. As soon as she took his hand, she yanked his arm with such force that she sent him on his knees and jumped behind him, holding one of his arms behind his back.
"It seems like you had them for breakfast there Lieutenant." She gently released him.
"Is it me or am I the only one getting hard? How is he not hard from this?" Soap said adjusting his pants.
"Alright you two. I don't want to clean up Ghost's balls off the mat. Funnily enough, we kinda need him Y/N." Price intervened, laughing.

"I'm sure you do," Y/N replied. "I'm gonna go see how the recruits are doing after their 25 lap punishment. Until next time Ghostie." She smiled and exited the gym.
All four men were quiet. "Ghostie huh?" Soap teased.
"Don't start Johnny." Ghost lifted his mask to take a sip of water. He noticed that she left her jacket behind her. He took it in his hands and felt the soft fabric against his calloused hand.
"Guess Price wasn't wrong about her castrating us blindly. Mate you were this close to losing your jewels."
"I'm never wrong." Price coughed. "Also, 25 laps?"
"They underestimated her." Simon scoffed as he made his way to his apartment. Looking at Y/N's door he wondered if she was already inside so he knocked gently.
No answer.
He waited and knocked again gently and the door opened. She had a fluffy white bathrobe three sizes bigger than her and a towel around her head. No makeup whatsoever, she looked fresh out of the shower.
"Oh Ghost I'm so sorry to keep you waiting. Come on in." She invited him inside.
"Umm...no it's okay. I'm here to return your jacket. You left it behind." He stretched his arm holding her jacket.
"Ah thank you. I was wondering where I left it." She took the jacket from his hand. "Are you sure you don't want to come in? I can make you a cup of tea if you want." His heart was about to burst. She looked adorable in her oversized bathrobe swallowing her little body with a massive towel on her head, giving him almost puppy eyes. How could he say no?
"If you insist." She smiled widely at his acceptance. She moved inside and went straight to the bathroom. "Have a seat and make yourself comfortable I'll be with you in 5 minutes!" She shouted from the bathroom.
He took a seat in one of the armchairs with the fancy blankets she had. The smell of talc filled his nostrils. She was cooking something sweet because the smell of cinnamon mixed with the fabric conditioner of the blankets. It smelled like home.
Ghost looked around her furnished apartment.
Looks like a woman lives here. A cosy one.
After a few minutes Y/N showed up in the living room, wearing an oversized grey t-shirt and black shorts. Her hair was still damp. She put on the kettle and got the mugs out. "How many sugars Simon?"
"None." He replied. "Do you need any help?" He asked.
"No I'm fine thank you." She smiled at him as she turned back to making tea. "Milk?"
"None." He replied again.
"Ah, you're so traditional. I can't down tea with at least two teaspoons of sugar and milk. I like tea don't get me wrong and I like herbal tea but I like it sweet." He heard her ramble on about tea with a smile hiding under his balaclava.
Two sugars with milk.
"So basically you drink sugar with tea not tea with sugar." He joked as he took the cup of tea from her hands.
"Now, now Simon, don't tell a girl about her cravings." They conversed and shared their memories when they joined the military, when Simon joined the SAS and how he became lieutenant, how he met Soap and Price and Gaz. He tried to keep it as light as possible and not mention the people he lost during those times as did she.
Simon looked over to the little clock hung on her wall. "Oh my God I've been here for two hours! I probably interrupted your rest." He placed the cup on the coffee table and got up from the armchair.
"Oh don't worry. I enjoyed our little tete-a-tete. Just don't tell Soap or he'll get jealous." She giggled as she walked him to the door, making him chuckle.
"This was nice though." She said opening the door to find Soap staring at them.
"Did ye have a tea party without me?" Soap looked offended (jokingly of course). You shook your head laughing as you closed the door.
"Jealous much Johnny?" Ghost rasped opening the door to his apartment and Soap followed him in.
"Are you 'aving a thing with 'er?" Soap asked in a flirty tone.
"I am not. We're just friends. I'm making her feel welcome. It's not easy for a woman to be in this place, eyes prying her by men who want to get in her pants." Ghost said suggestively towards Johnny.
"Mate if you're saying that Y/N can't defend herself you should rewind to 5 hours ago when she 'ad her knives inches away from yer family jewels and frankly I'd like to keep mine. Honestly I was having trouble keepin' it together."
"Maybe you do need a castration." Ghost retorted.
"And ye need to grow a pair and ask the lass out."
Soap patted Ghost on the back as he said his goodbyes and retreated to his apartment.
Simon could still taste the tea on his tongue and could still smell the talc in his nostrils. He closed his eyes for a minute and let himself wander off to how she were curled up on the couch with a blanket covering her lower half with a cup of tea in her hands.
Simon and relationships couldn't be found in any dictionary together. He was never interested in having any sort of relationship with any woman. Yes, he went out on a couple of dates when he was way younger but when he grew up and joined the military there was no time or even interest especially after his past to get involved with anyone. He was emotionally constipated as Soap had put it several times.
But Y/N was different. She felt like hope. But getting close to her can be dangerous and looked down upon. They could both lose their jobs or even worse if anyone found out they're together they could use her as blackmail for Simon.
But how could someone love a ghost?

Ghosts & Banshees (Simon 'Ghost' Riley x Reader) - Part 1

Author's Note: I welcome you all to my blog. It has been ages since I wrote fanfiction on here but I thought I should get back in it. I used to have a fanfiction blog back in 2016 where I wrote for multiple fandoms but ended up deleting my blog in 2021. I got obsessed with Call of Duty (I never played it but Ghost and König set a wild fire in me) so I thought I'd give it a shot. Naturally, I'm not an expert when it comes to the games or anything related to the military so mainly it's from research I did. Enjoy this piece (might write additional parts in the future if it does well). - Minerva 🐦⬛
Summary: An old friend of John Price joins the 141 team, by his recommendation.
Warnings: Mild language, alcohol ingestion, inaccuracies when it comes to military.
•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
Monday morning. Bright and early, the men of Task Force 141 woke up at the crack of dawn. Their body's internal clock had gotten used to them waking up at 5am but the booze they indulged themselves in the previous night had taken a bit of a roll on the aforementioned "internal clock".
Nonetheless, with their bodies soaked in sleep and taking heavy steps, they made their way down to the base's mess hall, trying to eat away the hangover they manifested the night before. Johnny and Kyle were wiping their foreheads, trying to soothe the aching boom in the heads while walking languidly behind them was Ghost who seemed to be sober than them.
"Liver of steel you got there Johnny." Ghost teased the Scot, his British accent thick in sleep as he watched his friend fighting to keep his breakfast down. Gaz wasn't much help to Johnny either as he also chewed his food slowly. Too weak to reply and with little energy, Johnny shot a cold and annoyed gaze at his friend.
Ghost watched the men in front of him as he washed his breakfast down with a cup of black tea. Nothing soothed his soul like a nice cuppa in the morning (or any time of the day).
Minutes had gone by and they exited the mess hall, laughing about the moments they shared the previous night from Price's arm wrestling to Kyle's poor flirting techniques to Johnny's drunk dancing on tables. Ghost always considered himself as he is. A ghost. Watching from the corner silently, occasionally beating Price's unbeaten streak of arm wrestling to pulling Kyle in a chair after embarrassing himself in front of the ladies to pulling down Johnny off the tables and shoving glasses of water in front of him to sober up, convincing him it's a type of vodka (which Johnny took enthusiastically).
They reached Price's office who jumped off his chair when he watched his men enter, trying to compose himself with a big smile on his face. "Good morning gentlemen." He coughed as he settled with them around the table.

The men adjusted comfortably in their seats, waiting for the meeting to start. "Alright lads, I know last night was tough and thankfully today we don't really have a lot of work to do but we do have a mission coming up in the next few months that would need your undivided attention." He looked over to Johnny who was slowly dosing off in his chair. Ghost, "ever-so-gently", took the initiative to smack his friend in the back of his head, surprising Johnny.
"This should wake you all up." In Price's hand was a manila folder which he planned on the table. "Since this mission is sensitive to say the least, we need a pair of extra hands to help us complete it successfully. Hence why I asked an old friend of mine to assist us in the upcoming mission which she kindly and gladly accepted. She is one of the best snipers and combat fighters I've ever worked with...no offence gents."
"Did he just say 'she'?" Johnny whispered loudly.

"Ah so I do have your attention then Soap!" Price chuckled. "Now you all better keep it in your pants. She is also a medic and I'm sure she'll find a way to castrate you in your sleep if you try something funny. Come in Sergeant Y/N."
And there she was. Standing at 5"4 feet tall in black jeans and a dark blue t-shirt that hugged her body nicely. Her soft dark brown hair danced behind her as her brown eyes scanned the room.
"That's not a very nice way to sell me Captain." She chuckled as she made her way over to him. Jaws dropped.
"She has my undivided attention." Johnny whispered to the two men seated next to him. From his cold state, Ghost felt something inside him jolt, like a bullet just fired in his chest. A warm sheet of sweat covered his body, pupils dilated as he watched you and Price hug as he greeted you. No one ever took Price for the "huggy type" person but all formalities flew out the window when he patted her back gently afterwards.
"Welcome Y/N to Task Force 141. We are glad to have you with us. She will also be doing training with the new recruits," Price announced. "Just in case you get bored." He whispered in your ear, chuckling.
Y/N observed the men in front of her when her eyes fell on the only masked man in the room. But before she could introduce herself properly, Johnny bounced from his seat, finding his newly hidden energy.
"I'm Johnny but you can call me Soap." He shook her hand gently and beamed a smile. Kyle was up next.
"I'm Kyle but you can call me "yours"." He said with a small smirk on his face. She swore she felt Price's eyes roll to the back of his head as did the masked man's.

"It's too fuckin' early Gaz." Price scoffed.
"It's Gaz." He said when he received a silent response from the men. A heavy hand landed on Gaz's shoulder and was pulled back. And there he stood at 6"4 feet, dressed in tight fitting black clothes and a balaclava with a painted ghost mask on it with black shadows around his eyes. His fluffy blonde lashes never once fluttered as his eyes were stuck on her, like he's never seen a woman before.
Intrigued by the new member, Ghost approached silently, taking his hand out to introduce himself. Standing tall, towering over her tiny self, he shook her hand.

"Ghost." He said. Short and sweet.
"But you can call him-"
"That's enough Johnny!" Ghost barked.
Once they let go of the handshake, Price stepped in. Placing a hand on her shoulder, he gave her a tour of the base as well as showing her her sleeping quarters. Her place wasn't big but it was comfortable enough for at least 2 people to live in. A kitchenette, a bathroom, a double bed and a living room with a comfortable couch, TV and a balcony that led to the outside. All she had to do was spice it up with her taste in decorations.
"If you need any help or have questions, we don't bite we're literally next door." Soap offered as he placed her bags in her apartment followed by Gaz. Ghost stood at the frame of the door leaning as he scanned her apartment.
"Thank you gents. I appreciate the warm welcome." She beamed at them.
"If you want, tonight we're heading for a couple of drinks if you want to join us. It's a good opportunity to get to know you a bit more." Gaz said, hoping she'll say yes, to which she did.
***
That evening Task Force 141 gathered around the bar table, downing a pint of Guinness each, laughing along each other's jokes.
"So bonnie," Soap licked the froth from his lips. "What's your code name?"
Y/N raised her eyebrow. "You didn't read my Manila file? I'm impressed at your restraint Soap."
"I'm more of an upfront guy you know. Like to look people in the eyes when I talk to them. He smirked like.
"Do you want to take a guess?" Her lips landed back on her pint of Guinness as she looked around, her eyes landing on Ghost. He is thankful yet again for his balaclava that hid his blush.
"It's Banshee. Price actually suggested it years ago." She chuckled. Price patted himself on the back for this one. "Ay, you're fuckin lethal Y/N." He said sipping on his drink.
"Why do they call you 'Soap' Johnny?" Y/N asked, spinning the subject to the man next to her.
"Let's say I clean up well." He winked at Y/N. "I'm fast, efficient, accurate." While Soap continued praising his agility and the speed he can clean a room and his urban warfare tactics (as Gaz called it "jerking himself off with his own compliments"), Y/N's eyes get again landed on Ghost. His legs splayed open covered in dark jeans and a shirt that was two sizes smaller than his actual size. The way his muscles were ready to rip the sleeves of his shirt, his dark tattoos littering his arms and if her eyes served right, they landed on his crotch where a small bulge could be seen. Immediately averting her eyes when she noticed Ghost's hot gaze on her.
He must hate me. She thought to herself as she diverted her attention back to the rest of the team.
And nothing short could be said about Ghost couldn't take his eyes off her. The way she threw her head back in sweet laughter or the way she punched Soap's arm when he teased her. Or the way her lips gently closed around the rim of the glass and swallowed her beer.
Ghost knew something was about to change.
Ghost knew he was fucked.
