A/N: Haven't written for Avatar in a bit but I'm really looking forward to the next movie, it looks interesting.

The best way to keep you safe is to keep you close

Wraps his tail around your hips but warns you that if you touch it he will leave you here

Once you're close enough to your camp base he let you go off alone, not wanting to get too close as the tensions are still high

Leaned down to give you a warning against getting lost again but didn't expect a kiss as thanks for helping you

Hisses at you again for kissing him but he is careful when pulling away

Should you see each other again hopefully it isn't under the same circumstances

After God Games and fans reactions to it I am swiftly reminded that Ares is the most misunderstood out of the Greek gods. I see people mentioning that Ares argument is silly cause he expected Odysseus to fight Scylla or that he only cared about Athena nearly dying because he's the protector of women. That he just want violence and nothing else, but that is not what he represents.

Athena represents the glory of war, the strategy, the conquest, the victory, she represents the good things that are viewed in war. While Ares represents the truth, he's the chaos, the carnage, the loss, he represents the ugly sides of war. That is what fuels his argument, he's angry that he just sacrificed his men without trying to figure out another way, he's angry that he didn't stand by his men like they were equals, cause Ares represents the ugly side of war and therefore, represents the loss that comes from it.

It's why he's the one paired with Aphrodite, it's why one of his kids it Eros. It's also why he cares when Athena is struck down, it is because she's his sister, but it's also likely because this is the first time he's seen her actually care about mortals beyond them being soldiers (in the context of Epic). It's why the thing that gets him to agree to release Odysseus is Athena showing care for Telemachus, not the objectivity of Athena's other arguments.

The Sarentu survivors' little home under the resistance HQ makes me feel stuff, man. Maybe I'll make a bigger post about all the details, but it makes me wonder stuff like...

Did Nor or Ri'nela do the paintings on the rock? Or Teylan? Who slept closest to the wall, or who slept on which pair of hammocks? There's four, so there's even one for the mc... the gathered items, the little pool... just the environmental storytelling in this place alone is beautiful. Even after the attack on camp it remains just as it did before like a little moment in time.
