Even though he came to the aquarium with Soobin, he spends the rest of the outing distracted, not paying attention to any of the creatures he came to see, instead his eyes dart around the room hoping for any glimpse of you. Your face is perfectly lit by the artificial light of the tank you're inspecting, delighted by what you see.

As if in a trance, Beomgyu wanders off from his friend, Soobin too entertained by some ugly fish to notice. His legs carry him straight to the display you're at, pretending to be interested in what's inside until he works up the courage to speak to you.

Soobin is baffled when he turns away from the glass to find himself alone. Looking around, he spots his friend chatting to someone. Little does he know he'll spend the rest of the outing being a third wheel.

"soobin, my legs are starting to ache." you whine as you crouch down, holding onto your knees.

when the night isn't too cold nor rainy, your boyfriend always insists in going for a walk after you've had dinner. just to walk off the feeling of being full he'd say. but that meant more time to spend together so who were you to reject the idea?

"okay sweetheart, let's take ten and rest here." he imitates you, crouching down in a low squat position against a wall and you couldn't help but take a photo of him.

"I mean we could just sit on that bench over there." you point at the seats 3 metres away from you, feeling a little guilty for making him squat down, but he shakes his head.

"no, it's okay, don't worry. if you want to take a breather here, we can. plus, I get to hug you while we wait." his tone was playful, and he looks at you through his thick rimmed glasses.

you chuckle at his statement.

"I guess that does sound better." you wrap your arms around his torso, and he does the same, pulling you onto his lap instead of crouching down.

you were quite giddy from where soobin placed his hands on your waist where it was a litte more ticklish than usual, and from your sudden movements soobin lost his balance and the both of you were quite literally sat on the ground now.

the both of you laugh from the minor incident, and he caresses your cheek with so much care.

"so what hurts more, your achy legs or your butt?" his dimples are on show as he laughs, watching you stand to pat off the debris on your clothes.

"my butt for sure." you chuckle, giving him a helping hand to stand up.

"ready to walk again or do you want a piggy-back?" he adjusts his clothes and then looks at yours before resting his hand on your lower back.

you fake a thinking face, watching the way the expression on his beautiful face is awaiting your answer.

"because you offered, I'd love a piggy-back."

you raise your arms, awaiting him to turn around and slightly crouch for you to jump onto him, but he crouches facing you, wrapping his arms around your waist and gently planting his lips on yours.

"and I love you." he says against your lips.

at this rate your heart is pounding hard in your chest he could probably feel it too.

"ah soobinie, you're too cute." you say as he finally turns around, hoisting you up onto his back. "I love you so much more."

Smiles what the- 😭 this is actually so fitting for me? Tmi but I have a chronic illness/chronic pain and can't walk very far so this would be the ideal situation for me :3 next time I'm out and about and have to sit for a rest, I'll definitely think about this and wish I could have a soobie-back ride and smile 💕
