“So…what should we do now?” I ask to Taehyung and Jungkook.

“I don’t care! There’s a lot of things to do in Seoul,” Jungkook says, “Tae, do you have any ideas?”

“How about we do something until lunch and then we can go out to eat? Ooh, how about we go out to eat at Jin-hyung’s restaurant? We can surprise him.” Taehyung smiles mischievously at that idea.

“Yes, great idea TaeTae! What should we do until lunch?” Jungkook asks.

“I don’t know, y/n you choose! You’re the guest here after all.” Taehyung decides to put the decision up to me.

“Do you think we could go shopping? I just need a couple more clothes because I could only bring so many when I left.” I couldn’t bring very many clothes in my rush to pack and leave, so I’m left with some basics. But I want at least one black dress that I know I’ll need for my college music concerts during the school year.

“I love shopping! Let’s go right now.” Jungkook demands.

“Hold up Kook,” I try out his nickname, seeing him grin widely in response, “We’re all still in our pjs. We should probably change and freshen up before we leave. Let’s meet back down here in twenty minutes.”

We all walk upstairs and into our respective rooms. I rummage through my suitcase, trying to find a suitable outfit. I ultimately decide on a graphic tee with black ripped jeans and converse. A basic but still classic outfit. After brushing my hair and teeth, washing my face, and grabbing my black crossbody I’m ready to head downstairs.

As I pass by my open suitcase I see my ring in my pouch. The ring was given to me by my ex. It wasn’t an engagement ring but a ‘promise ring.’ I used to wear it every day.

I walk downstairs and sit to tie my converse. Then I see Jungkook, wearing a monochrome but stylish all black outfit. He’s got a baggy black t-shirt with matching sweats on, but added silver necklaces, chains around his waist, and silver rings. I see his matching mouth ring and small silver hoops and automatically think ‘bad boy’

“Wow Kook, I love your outfit. It is definitely streetwear,” I compliment.

“Thanks y/n, you too! Very casual and cool.” He then grabs his chunky black sneakers from the rack by the front door.

“I wonder what’s taking Taehyung so long?” I ask after finishing tying my shoes.

“Oh, this is normal. Since he’s a fashion designer he’s very particular about his outfits. I’m sure he’ll be down in another five minutes or so,” Jungkook explains.

I guess I forgot about Taehyung being a fashion designer, and am now excited to see his outfit for the day.

Finally he comes down the stairs, wearing a chic but casual outfit. He has a tan short-sleeved linen shirt on with the top button unbuttoned, showing off his collarbones. His white pants are billowy and his gold jewelry ties it all together. He looks so good in the outfit, and my heart does a small leap in my chest. Then I stop myself. No, he’s someone’s boyfriend. Actually, six someone’s boyfriend.

“Wow…Taehyung you look great.” You try to stop your pounding heart as Taehyung gives you a boxy grin.

“Thanks y/n.”

Jungkook runs over and hugs Taehyung, giving him a sweet peck on his cheek. “Baby, you look like you’re ready to be on the cover of a beach-themed magazine!”

At this comment Taehyung laughs.

“Thanks Kookie, you look ready to be a part of a gang. Our tough muscle bunny,” Taehyung says with a smirk.

“Stop calling me that!” Jungkook pushes Taehyung to the shoes rack. “Just put your shoes on so we can go!”

Chuckling, Taehyung puts on his beige sneakers.

“Okay okay I’m ready. You ready, sweetheart?”

Jungkook blushes at the pet name.

“Aw, don’t like the nickname? Well, it’s either that or muscle bunny so let’s go muscle bunny!”

We head to the car, which I see is a black Bugatti Veyron. It’s just now hitting me how rich these people are. Jin must be a very famous actor.

“How do you like my car, y/n?” Jungkook asks slyly after seeing my expression.

“It’s so nice…you guys must be loaded,” I say, still in shock at the million dollar car in front of me. Then I realize what I said.

“Oh my gosh did I say that out loud?! I didn’t mean that, I’m sorry I-“

“It’s okay y/n, no need to apologize. Yes, we’re very well off and am very lucky to be able to afford such nice cars,” Taehyung says.

“Ah, well anyways I’m still sorry for being so brash. Are you sure you want me in this car? It’s so nice and…well…” I gesture to myself, not sure how to say that I’m just a generic person who doesn’t need to be riding in such a luxury vehicle.

“Well what? You’re staying with us now so let’s go before we die of heat out here.” Jungkook sounds a tad irritated, so I quickly nod and open the back door and climb in behind the passenger seat. The cream leather seats are fluffy and I buckle up and internally squeal at being in such a nice car.

Jungkook gets into the driver’s seat and Taehyung in the passenger and after buckling up we’re off to the mall.

Jungkook plays some music on the way and I’m happy to hear that they’re Blinks. We jam out and sing to some of their bangers and then we’re pulling into the parking lot.

I step out of the car and my eyes widen at the mall we’re at. This is a higher end one that’s two stories tall and typically has more expensive stores in it.

We walk in, Jungkook and Taehyung flanking my sides. I definitely look out of place here. There are so many expensive stores and stylish people milling around.

“Okay y/n, did you have anything specific that you were looking for?” Taehyung asks me.

“Yes, actually. I need a black dress for my college concerts. My old one is at my ex’s house still,” I explain.

“Okay, so black dress. Got it. I’m also assuming that you need shoes for the dress?”

“Actually, I still have my black flats. They should be fine even though they’re a little worn.” I think about my faded black flats in my suitcase. They’re not the nicest but they’ll do.

“No, that won’t do. You have to wear good shoes for standing at a concert! We’ll also add black shoes to the list.” Taehyung says.

“It’s okay! I don’t think I can pay for new shoes right now, so I’ll just wait until my old ones are falling apart,” I try to say to Taehyung.

“Then consider it a welcome to the group gift. I’m not letting you go out to a concert in old shoes.” Taehyung says adamantly.

I try to discourage him again, saying he doesn’t need to do that but then Jungkook also agrees so I give up trying to stop them.

“Okay okay! Black dress and black shoes. But that’s it. Are you guys here for anything?” I ask, trying to change the subject.

“Not really. I just like shopping.” Jungkook says, shrugging.

“I could use a red leather jacket,” Taehyung says.

“Tae, you could just borrow Yoongis,” Jungkook says giving Taehyung a duh look.

“No I can’t because his has flowers on it! It’s cute, but I need a plain one,” Taehyung protests.

Jungkook just shakes his head.

“See y/n? This is what it’s like to live with a fashion designer. Always needing more clothes and never using the ones he has.”

“Hey! I do need a wide variety of clothes you know!” Taehyung pushes Jungkook slightly.

“Yeah yeah yeah whatever. So now our list is black dress, black shoes and red leather jacket. Where should we look first?”

“How about there?” Taehyung points to an expensive looking store that has casual clothes.

“Okay let’s go!” Jungkook strides in eagerly with Taehyung following.

I walk a little slower, still unsure about the expensive pricing. Jungkook sees this and turns around to lead me into the store.

“Don’t worry about the pricing y/n. If you see something you like tell us and we’ll buy it for you! A welcome to the group gift if you will.” He winks at me and I roll my eyes at the excuse.

“Whatever Kook. I’ll just look around in the clearance rack.” I start over before Jungkook can protest.

On my way I pass Taehyung, who is already looking at leather jackets.

Once I find the clearance rack I sift through it, looking for cheap options. But most things on the rack are still more than I would ever spend.

“Finding everything okay?” A store worker asks.

“Oh, yes thank you.” I say back, not seeing anything great for the price.

“Okay, well let me know if you need any help!” The store worker leaves and I sigh. Might as well look in the non-clearance section for fun right?

I look at the dresses for fun, seeing some crazy colors (neon orange and purple?). My gaze then lands on a beautiful dress that’s perfect for autumn. It has long gauzy sleeves with a sweetheart neckline and the skirt is flowy and reaches just above the knee. But what makes me love it the most is the beautiful crimson color with a gorgeous gold flower print. I check the price tag and see that it’s a couple million won. Nope. Too expensive.

“That’s a beautiful dress y/n,” says a voice behind me.

I turn around to see Taehyung, a red leather jacket in his arms.

“Yeah…” I say wistfully, still thinking about the price.

“Do you want it?” Taehyung asks, looking at the price tag, “It’s a good brand, the materials are good quality, and price is not bad.”

Not bad? I’d consider it highly pricey but I know that must be nothing to them.

“No, it’s okay. I don’t want you to pay for anything other than the shoes you insist on buying for me,” I say, trying to get rid of that gleam in Taehyung’s eyes.

“It’s not a big deal. You need to get used to letting people buy things for you because we love to spoil people,” Taehyung says casually.

Since all the boys are rich, I’m sure that spoiling each other comes naturally. But I’m not used to this kind of treatment. My ex would splurge on nice things for me occasionally, but we were always careful with money because we wanted to buy our own house together someday. He bought me that ring along with taking me out on expensive dinner dates, and that was all I needed.

I would bad having the boys spend their money on me. I wasn’t a permanent fixture in their household and it was only the first full day of me being with them.

“We just met yesterday, Taehyung! I don’t need to be spoiled. I’m a simple girl who doesn’t need expensive things to make me happy.”

“But buying things for other people makes me happy,” Taehyung whines.

“Ooh, that’s a really pretty dress. Are you thinking about buying it y/n?” Jungkook reaches us, a few pieces of black clothing in his arms. He must really like the color.

“She really likes it but she says it’s too expensive,” Taehyung snitches.

“Hey! I never said I liked it!”

“The look in your eyes said it all.”

“How about we buy it for you if it’s too expensive?” Jungkook cuts in, interrupting our bickering.

“Hah! That’s what I said but y/n went into this whole thing about just meeting us yesterday and not needing to be spoiled or have expensive things to make her happy and blah blah blah…”

“Even though we did just meet yesterday I feel comfortable with you y/n! We just clicked and now we’re besties, right? And I want to spoil you as my bestie and surely a couple expensive things won’t hurt, right?”

Jungkook’s big doe eyes look at me pleadingly and I can hardly say no to such a look. I sigh.

“Okay, just this once.”

The duo cheers and then tells me to grab the dress in my size and try it on just to make sure it fits. I do, then head over to the nice dressing room. The boys sit down on the couch outside the dressing room. I slip the dress over my head then realize I need help with the zipper.

“Um, do you guys think you could get a worker? I need someone to zip me up,” I ask the boys through the curtain.

“Sure! Excuse me, do you think you could help our friend in the dressing room?” I hear Jungkook ask.

A moment later a worker comes in and zips me up.

“You look great hon. Those boys out there will probably think so too.” She winks and leaves before I can say anything. My cheeks heat slightly, and now I don’t even want to go out there. But I know they’re waiting, so I take a deep breath and step out of the dressing room.

There’s a slight pause while both boys look me over, and I swear I see Jungkook’s eyes widen and Taehyung swallows.

“Wow…y/n you look absolutely gorgeous,” Taehyung compliments.

“It’s perfect on you,” Jungkook says, doe eyes big.

“Thanks guys. I really appreciate it. I also really appreciate you buying this for me!”

“Of course. It’s made for you,” Taehyung says.

“Aw, well I’m flattered. Thank you again,” I say, stepping back into the fitting room. After successfully unzipping myself (Yes! I mentally say) I change and then come out holding the dress on its hanger.

“Okay, is everyone ready to check out?” Jungkook asks.

“Yes, I’m ready,” Taehyung states.

“Me too,” you say.

We check out, Jungkook buying a pair of black jeans and a sweatshirt, Taehyung with his red leather jacket and my dress.

“Where to next?” Jungkook asks.

“How about we look for your black dress now y/n?” Taehyung asks me.

“Good idea! Are there any dress stores nearby?” I ask them while looking at my surroundings.

“There should be one a couple stores to the right according to this map,” Jungkook says.

We walk to the right and sure enough there’s a store called ‘Blue and Grey Formal Shop - for all your formal dress needs!’

“Let’s go!” Jungkook steers me in and straight to the black dresses.

“Wow, someone’s excited,” I laugh.

“There’s so many options! What do you like y/n?” Jungkook asks, expression in awe of the selection. I will admit, there are many beautiful dresses here.

Taehyung browses through them, criticizing some and praising others.

“Hmm, this price for those materials? Not worth it. This isn’t bad but the sequins are cheap.”

“Hey Mr. Fashionista, why don’t you calm down a bit and just let me pick?” I ask Taehyung, bemused at his reactions to some of the dresses.

“I can’t just let you pick because as a fashion designer it’s up to me to make sure that you look good! Consider me your personal stylist!” Taehyung declares.

You burst out laughing.

“Tae, it’s okay I don’t need a personal stylist and I can choose my own clothes fine.”

“But fashion is literally my job and-wait. Did you just call me Tae?” Taehyung stops himself in the middle of his sentence.

“Yes…? Is that okay? If not I can call you Taehyung it’s just that you told me I could and-“

“We’re besties now!” Taehyung suddenly hugs me and I feel myself tighten at the hug. Nobody ever has just randomly hugged me before like this, but I soon relax a bit in his hold and tentatively hug him back.

“Aww look at you two! So cute together,” Jungkook says from behind us.

“Thanks Kookie, we do look good together,” Taehyung winks at me after letting me go.

I flush yet again, confused at his change in character.

“Okay guys, how about we actually look for dresses for me?” I ask, turning back to the racks.

They nod, and we go back to searching. We each find a couple options, and I go to try them on, the boys waiting outside again. I try on Jungkook’s options first. The first dress is too big and the second one shows too much skin for a formal concert.

“You sure you don’t want that one just for fun?” Jungkook says.

“I’m sure. I don’t feel comfortable with this much skin showing,” I say, covering myself up and going back into the dressing room.

Jungkook’s third dress fits great, and it’s simple but elegant enough for a concert. Simple scoop neck and flutter short sleeves with a slight nipped in waist and goes to the middle of my thighs. The material is silky and soft and looks nice but is still comfortable.

I step outside and feel their gazes on me.

“This one is great Jungkook! I will definitely keep this as an option while I try on the other dresses,” I say, twirling in the mirror and loving how the fabric flows around me.

“Yeah…great job Jungkook,” Taehyung says, still looking at me. I nod then go to the changing room to try on Taehyung’s two dresses. Neither of the dresses fit me right, so I move on to my three choices.

The first dress is too itchy and hot (should’ve checked the material-wool?!) but the second one fits like a glove. Off-the-shoulder style, but it doesn’t go too low in the front. There are subtle sparkles on the waist that also shimmers down to the skirt. When I move I can see them flash prettily in the light.

I show the boys again, the change, saying “I don’t know which one to get! Jungkook’s or mine!”

“They both look so good on you why not get both?” Jungkook asks.

“You know I’m only getting one! We already discussed this,” I scold, then ask Taehyung, “What do you think Mr. Fashionista?”

“What do I think? I think you should get both. Besides, isn’t there more than one concert?”

“Well, yes, but-“

“Great then it’s settled! You buy both and wear one to each concert.”

“But-“

“No buts! And if you can’t afford it, then we’ll buy both of them for you. Let’s go!” And before I can protest more Taehyung sweeps up Jungkook’s and my dresses.

I groan, then turn to Jungkook only to find him up at the cashier with Taehyung. How did the little sneak get up there so fast?

I meekly come up to the register where the cashier is ringing up my total of a couple million won each. Millions of won for two dresses? Oh man. I don’t know how I can ever pay them back for these dresses and the red one I got from the other store.

After paying with a crisp black card (seriously, how much money do they have?!), Taehyung grabs the bags and we leave.

“Last thing before lunch is to find y/n black shoes!” Jungkook cheers.

“Jungkookie is such a baby because he’s always hungry.”

Taehyung reaches to pinch Jungkook’s cheeks but he swats him away.

“Hey! I’m your baby,” he pouts.

“Yes, you are! Who’s my baby Kookie? You!” Taehyung says in a baby voice. Jungkook laughs as Taehyung peppers his face with kisses.

Your heart melts at the sight of the teasing and banter but it also aches. How would it be to be in such an open and sweet relationship? Kisses and affection aren’t foreign to me, but seeing them be so caring to each other in public was different than what I was used to. Sure, I got affection but it was never this easy. I think back to how I always had to initiate it with my ex. Since he was my first serious boyfriend, I always wanted to be one of those couples who was cute and affectionate in public. But whenever we went on our dates the most he would do is hold my hand.

“You okay y/n?” Taehyung asks with a worried look on his face.

I see now that both Taehyung and Jungkook are looking at me.

“Yeah I’m fine! Let’s go look for my black shoes!” I dart into the next shoe store I see, and start looking, ignoring their confused looks.

~

After finding a classy pair of black heels I’m starving and ready to go to Jin’s restaurant.

“Alright, everyone ready?” Jungkook asks.

We go to the car and load the bags into the trunk and then we’re off, singing to BlackPink yet again.

Finally we reach a cozy looking restaurant. Its white brick with a clean black border and Thomas-Edison lights draped outside. A hand painted sign reads ‘Serendipity.’

“Wow, this is such a cute restaurant,” I say while getting out of the car.

“Thanks y/n! Jin-hyung really wanted it to be a cozy and cute cafe,” Jungkook says.

We step inside and it’s decorated with cute hanging and potted plants. As we go wait in the line I look at the menu. I notice that there is a wide variety of desserts.

“Jin-hyung’s restaurant is really famous for its desserts so we should definitely order some of those,” Taehyung says.

“Hello and welcome to Serendipity, may I take your order?” The girl at the cashier asks with a friendly smile.

“Yes, hi, I would like the chicken bulgogi with brown rice and a slice of cheesecake please,” Taehyung orders. (a/n, I’m sorry the food orders aren’t probably accurate, and for desserts I’m sticking with more American ones)

“Okay, and for you sir?”

“Yes, I’d like the beef teriyaki with the stir-fried vegetables and strawberry ice cream please,” says Jungkook.

“Alright, and finally for you miss?”

“I’ll have the kimchi soup please with rice and…the triple fudge brownie please.” Those desserts in the display make my mouth water by just looking at them.

Jungkook insists on paying, saying that “TaeTae paid for your dresses so now I have to pay for something!”

“Here’s your total, and your number is 72. Thanks again for coming to Serendipity!”

We go get our waters and then find a booth to sit at after waving to Namjoon, who’s sitting at a table with a cup of tea, laptop, and papers everywhere. Jungkook slides in one side with Taehyung and I get in the other side.

“Namjoon looks hard at work,” I say, looking at the man who is concentrating on the papers hard.

“He tries his best to make math fun for the high schoolers, and I think he mostly succeeds,” says Taehyung.

I bet his students love him, as he cares so much about his boyfriends, so why wouldn’t he care as much for his students?

“I bet so. He looks very hard at work.”

“Yes, he does work very hard. Sometimes too hard. Our Joon-hyung has so much to do and also care for us. I honestly don’t know how he does it all,” Jungkook says, eyes shining with respect for his boyfriend.

There’s a short pause.

“So does Jin cook today? Or is he just supervising?” I ask, changing the subject a bit.

“Depends, but he usually can’t resist cooking,” Jungkook says.

“Knowing him, the staff probably already told him that we’re here so he’s probably going to cook our food,” says Taehyung with a fond eye roll.

“Wait, the staff recognizes you?”

“Yes, there’s many pictures of him and us around here.” Taehyung points them out. There are sweet pictures as well as silly pictures of the seven of them

“Aw, that’s so sweet! You guys are so cute,” I say.

“Thanks y/n,” Jungkook says. He then kisses Taehyung short and sweet. I smile at them, happy that they have each other.

We talk for a while longer before a familiar voice calls out, “Order number 72 for…two brats and a nice kid?”

“Jin-hyung.” Jungkook and Taehyung say in unison, then grin and get up to get the order. I also get up and walk to the counter. Sure enough, there’s Jin, orders in front of him, and hands on his hips.

“Why didn’t you brats tell me you were coming in today with y/n? Is it because you’re not behaving? Y/n what did they do?”

“But hyung-“ Jungkook protests.

“I wasn’t asking you.” Jin scolds.

“They really didn’t do anything…they said it would be a surprise for you!” I say, trying to calm Jin down.

“Well it was a surprise! I’m just glad you didn’t burn another toaster or something worse. Anyways, here’s your food. Enjoy y/n, and if anything does happen to go wrong today just let me know and I will punish these kids,” Jin says, all while ignoring Jungkook’s and Taehyung’s whines.

“Will do Jin. These two have been angels so far though,” I say, patting their heads like a baby.

“Good. Seriously, if anything happens let me know! I’ve got to get back to the kitchen now, but enjoy your meal!” Jin disappears through the swinging kitchen doors.

We take our food back to our booth. As I eat the best kimchi soup I’ve ever had, us three talk about anything and everything. Then I try the triple fudge brownie. My eyes widen as I eat the richest, smoothest fudge brownie I’ve ever had. Jungkook and Taehyung laugh at my expression.

“Is it good y/n?” Taehyung asks through his laugh.

“Ot’s o dood,” I say with stuffed cheeks.

“What was that?” Jungkook asks with a smirk.

I swallow then glare at both of them.

“I said it’s so good,” I sass.

“Someone’s got an attitude,” says the still smirking Jungkook.

“Whatever,” I cross my arms, “Don’t be rude to me.”

“Ooh, is that how it is?” Taehyung says, now smirking like Jungkook.

I gulp under their gazes, which are now slightly dangerous.

“Yeah, don’t be rude to me or else I’ll tell Jin.”

This makes them revert back to their usual goofy selves.

“No no please don’t!”

I laugh and then we continue eating.

~

After a long afternoon of shopping (I refuse to let the boys get me more things, so I mostly just watch them try things on. Which, of course, they look good in everything) we come home, throw our shoes off, and collapse on the living room floor with the bags.

“Long afternoon?” Namjoon asks, relaxed and stretched out on the couch. I’m assuming he finished his lesson planning for today.

“So long,” I say to the floor. Who knew carpet could be so soft?

Namjoon chuckles, and then asks “How much did you guys spend today?”

“Not much hyung, don’t worry,” Taehyung says. I know that’s a lie and that they spent at least ten million won each.

“Okay…sure. You guys have such a big appetite for spending I wouldn’t be surprised if you spent millions of won today,” Namjoon says, shaking his head.

“Hyung! Don’t always assume the worst,” Jungkook scolds.

“Okay okay, I’m not assuming; I’m asking. Y/n, how much did they spend today?”

Suddenly all eyes are on me. Dove and siren eyes pleading and dragon eyes questioning.

“Um…I don’t know the exact amount but it was over a couple million won each…?”

“Y/n!”

“How dare you?”

The sputtering of protests come flying out of Taehyung and Jungkook’s mouth.

“Really? Thank you y/n. Boys, what did I tell you about spending so much? Just because we have money doesn’t mean we need to use it all,” Namjoon scolds.

The two don’t give up yet, saying “But hyung I need clothes for my design inspiration!” (Taehyung) and “I just need more black clothes!” (Jungkook)

“Tae, you have tons of clothes already, and Jungkook you don’t need more black clothes as they make up most of your closet!” Namjoon runs his hands through his hair.

“I’m sorry they dragged you to stores y/n. Did you get something at least?”

“Yes I did! I actually got three dresses and a pair of shoes.”

“See? learn to control yourself like y/n! Only four items.” Namjoon points at me.

“Dang it y/n you-“

“No, no blaming y/n. She didn’t make you spend all this money. Now, go take all the clothes upstairs including y/n’s. Put them on her bed,” orders Namjoon.

They sigh, roll their eyes, and grab the bags and go upstairs, Jungkook winking at me to show that they’re not actually mad at me.

“Ah, those boys will be the death of me,” Namjoon tells me after they disappear upstairs.

“They do seem to be quite a pair together,” I say, smiling while thinking about their antics.

“Yes, we sometimes call them ‘double trouble’ because you never know what’s going to happen when you’re with them,” says Namjoon, “Anyway, are you hungry? It’s about dinner time.”

I check the clock and sure enough it’s 5:30pm.

“Is Jin or anyone else going to be here?” I ask.

“Jin-hyung will probably stay at the restaurant late, I’m pretty sure that Yoongi would rather die than come back early, and our dancer boys will probably be late too,” says Namjoon.

“Okay, so just us and double trouble?”

Namjoon’s dimple smile comes out at their nickname.

“Yep just us and double trouble.”

“Surely you’re talking about yourself and y/n? Because I know we’re definitely not double trouble,” says Taehyung, coming down the stairs with Jungkook in tow.

“Oh hey boys! We were just wondering what we should eat tonight, since it’s just us,” I say, “I’m not a great cook as I prefer baking and judging that you two burned a toaster I don’t think you’re that great either. No offense. Namjoon, can you cook?”

I don’t know what it is, but the maknaes immediately rush over to Namjoon and grab him, holding him in place.

“No y/n, Namjoon can never, ever be allowed to cook. If you thought us burning the toaster was bad, this man has done much much worse. We can not let him cook.” Jungkook’s serious face cracks me up and I start to giggle.

“Okay then, how about ordering pizza? And can you boys get off of me now? I promise I won’t go in the kitchen,” Namjoon grumbles.

They climb off of him and agree that pizza is the best option. Namjoon orders and then we sit and play Mario Kart until it arrives. We eat the greasy slices of heaven and then decide to watch a couple movies until the boys (minus Yoongi, as Namjoon told me that he’ll probably be there until early morning) get back. It’s a Disney movie night, we decide, so we start with Aladdin. After popping popcorn and digging through the cabinets to find candy we settle in to watch Zootopia. Halfway through the movie the Jin come back and after showering joins us in the movie marathon. Next we watch Tangled, and Jungkook sings along to the songs. His angelic voice makes me wonder why he isn’t in the music industry. The movie is almost over when the dancers finally sneak back in. They too shower and come join us. I know Yoongi probably won’t come back before I’m asleep, so I just snuggle under the blanket I stole from Jimin. Namjoon and Jungkook are in either of my sides and their handsome features shine bright in the tv screen, making me mesmerized. But, eventually my eyes start to droop as the boys start another movie, and I eventually go to sleep, peaceful and content.

a/n: thanks for reading! i had to do the classic shopping scene, sorry not sorry ;). also major fluff because I’m such a sucker for it. hope you enjoyed! ❤️

Roommates? (5)

The sound of movement slightly stirred me in my rest, it was hard to be completely asleep in the alley, uncomfortable, traffic, nerves. Low grunts filled my ears as I felt a heavy object shifting across my lap.

"Don't move."

I commanded to the injured man who had woken, opening my eyes slightly I saw it was getting dark, the sun almost gone, shadows merging into darkness, glancing around I could see everyone stayed where they were, slight snores and heavy breathing filled the otherwise quiet area besides the slow flow of traffic from the ends of the alley way.

My hand snapped to grab a hold of his wrist, firmly but soft as to not scare him, he had rotated to where he was slightly facing my stomach, he looked up at me eyes slightly lidded. "Don't get up. You need to rest."

Hearing my words, he seemed to understand a bit more, relaxing back down. But before he could get comfortable, I lifted his head slightly off my lap scooching out from under him, I reached for a makeshift pillow I had spotted, using it to replace my lap under his head. He looked at me, his brown eyes shimmering in the low light before slowly closing them, locking his with my own one last time.

Sighing, I tried standing up only to fall back down on the ground, my legs had gone numb from Namjoon laying on them for so long. I tried again, but still ended up back on the ground, grunting, I looked up noticing a broad hand reaching out to me, without looking at the owner I reached for it pulling myself up with their help, leaning against them until the blood started circulating back in my legs, and I found my balance.

Being able to steady myself, I slightly pulled away looking up at the person, it was the sugar glider hybrid, his kind chocolate eye stared into mine, the moonlight illuminating his face, his slightly washed-out purple hair falling perfectly over his eyes, he looked ethereal in the moonshine.

I gave him a polite smile before looking down to dust some dirt from my legs, dried blood soaked into my clothes and cracked on along my thighs, it looks like I just committed a murder. Sighing, realizing that I'll have to throw out these clothes, I looked up at the man who clearly hadn't taken his eyes off me.

"How are you feeling?" He finally spoke.

"Eh, tired mostly, and my legs hurt" I whined kicking my legs about. "I should really get going though, it's getting late."

The man hummed at my response before turning away towards the entrance. "I'll walk you back. I don't want you to get in any trouble with someone, no good people use these alleys at night. Besides, Jimin would kill me if you didn't get home safe."

Smiling I caught up to the man who was a few feet ahead of me, walking side by side we made our ways through the alleys and back to my shop, making small talk on the way.

Roommates? (5)

Arriving at the shop I unlocked the door, stepping in, the man seemed to loom behind not knowing what to do, I turned to him, giving him an inviting smile telling him to come inside. He hesitantly stepped inside looking around as he did, scanning the room, I walked over to the freezer we had, rummaging through it trying to find what was looking for.

Gabbing them out I held up a few ice packs varying in sizes placing them on the bench before washing my hand in the sink trying to get off as much of the dried blood as I could. Drying my hands, I pulled on the paper towel until there were a few squares piled up, I put the squares with the ice packs to wrap them with.

"Sorry, I never caught your name." I said sheepishly.

"Seokjin."

"Would you like some tea and biscuits, Seokjin?"

Roommates? (5)

It was Sunday, me and Seoyeon had the day off, so we decided to go out for lunch with some friends, the forecast had said it was going to rain but most of the time it’s wrong and the sun was shining, so we ignored it.

We were at a café not too far from our own, Jisoo and Jeongyeon joined us today, we had spent the morning doing some shopping and now we were just catching up and having lunch. Jisoo and Jeongyeon were filling us in on all that happened on their recent business trip to Paris.

"-she spat the soup out. In the restaurant!"

"You hit me with your baguette!"

"Yeah, well that's what happens when you can't follow the maps."

"It's not my fault it's in French! I don't speak French." Jeongyeon defended, they were both bickering back and forth making me and Seoyeon bust out laughing, struggling to keep it in.

"...It was pictures..."

The rest of their arguing got drowned out by hysterical laughter from us all, when we all settled back down and flowed back into the regular conversation, the girls asked how the café was going, which we responded to letting them know it was going well, I brought up Jimin but left out the rest of what happened. I had mentioned Jimin to the girls before, so they knew who he was, they never had much of a problem with him, for which I was thankful.

Finishing lunch, we began to walk down the street to where our cars were, Jeongyeon and Seoyeon had come together, and Jisoo had a friend picking her up. Walking up to my car I unlocked the door, waving and saying a last goodbye to my friends.

"Bye! Drive safe!" I heard Jeongyeon yell as I slid into my seat, giving her a smile before closing my door, starting up the car, and pulling out of the parking spot. The muffled sound of the radio and the steady vibrations from the engine filled the car eliminating the silence.

Humming along to the song playing I started making my way home, driving through the city I noticed most of the small stands on the sides of the roads were packing up and the streets were seemingly empty compared to the usually busy area.

That's weird, it's still early.

Failing to notice that through our lunch heavy rain clouds had started filling the sky, I was brought to realization by the small dots quickly covering my front windscreen making it harder to see the road in front of me.

We haven't had rain for a while.

Flicking on the windscreen wipers to clear the window, I kept driving coming up to some traffic lights before it settled in.

The pack!

Panic sending through my body, I quickly turned the car into another lane before speeding up at the green light trying to get to the alley as quick as possible, second by second the rain was getting heavier, by now I could hear it hitting the roof of the car and the road was wet.

Thankfully, the streets weren't too busy so it was easy to get to the alley, going around corners probably a bit faster that I should, trying to get to them before the rain got too bad. Knowing where the alleys are I tried to make it to one of the closer entrances, but I wasn't sure exactly which streets they came out to.

Slamming on the break and shoving the car in park to where I thought an alternate entrance may have been, I jumped out of my car grabbing my emergency umbrella on the way. I raced into the alley, the puddles of water splashing under my shoes. I held the umbrella over my head as I faced the first turn, a few more turns later I saw an awfully familiar place, rushing forwards I recognized the alley to my right, the one that lead back to my shop and the one ahead of me lead to them.

Breaking past the invisible barrier that declared their territory I looked around, the couch had been flipped upside-down along with the chair, the mattresses were all leaning on the wall leaving small pockets that were somewhat sheltered from the rain.

"Jimin!"

A head of wet blond hair peaked out from the upturned chair, brown eyes looking at mine, I ran over to him wrapping an arm round him bringing him closer to me and under the umbrella that I held. Knowing who it was, I saw some of the others poking their heads out of the up turned furniture but staying under enough as to not get wet.

"Y/N? What are you doing here? You need to get out of the rain." Jimin spoke pulling back slightly to look at me.

"So do you guys." I said back to him spotting Jungkook peeping out from the same chair Jimin emerged from. Taking a deep breath, preparing myself for what I was going to say next, it had been on my mind for a bit, and this was the tumbling point causing the next words to spill from my mouth.

"Y/n we-"

"Come and stay with me."

The alley went silent at my words, blocking out the rain and slight traffic you could've heard a pin drop, gulping down my anxiety, I kept talking. "You guys can't stay in the rain, you'll get sick, and your wounds won't heal. Please, come stay with me, you're all welcome."

Jimin stared at me, looking deep into my eyes at what I had said, searching for this all to be a lie, fake, a dream. Movement drew my eyes away from his looking over at the mattress where Seokjin had come from, his broad shoulders and tall frame looming over me, then Namjoon came out besides him. I hadn't been able to come back and tend to his wounds and I could see the bandage needed changing, everyone's probably needed changing by now.

"Don't give us false hope." Namjoon scoffed glaring daggers at me, but I could see the sliver of hope in his features.

"I'm not." I said sternly looking around. "All of you are welcome. Please, I don't want you guys getting sick from the rain. My car is just around the corner, even if it's just for tonight and I bring you all back tomorrow."

The rain seemed to be getting heavier soaking myself and Jimin despite our umbrella covering us.

There's no way they can stay here.

Seokjin’s eyes caught mine as he spoke, stepping closer. "Are you sure Y/n?"

"I am, I couldn't live with myself if I left you guys out here and you all got sick." I said looking into his eyes, I silence passed us before he nodded and looked away, I turn to Jimin giving him a confirming look before I heard a voice behind us.

"Pack up guys, we'll stay with Y/n until the rain stops."

Seokjin gave me one last questioning look to which I sent him a look verifying my decision before he turned away to get something. At his words everyone seemed to emerge from their areas and started walking around hastily grabbing things, small trinkets, and belongings.

It didn't take long before we were all standing around waiting for the next course of action, looking over everyone they still seemed hesitant, but they all were holding a few small items that seemed to be of importance. Looking over at Seokjin I nodded my head to which he returned before my gaze switched to Jimin, I gave him a small smile which he returned with an uneasy one, I started walking through the alley telling the pack where my car was and to follow me.

"Um, Y/n?"

I turned to my left but kept walking to face Jungkook who was in line with me, his voice was slightly distorted from both his shivering and the heavy rain, I gave him a questioning look asking his to continue.

"Will there be enough room for us in your car?"

Jungkook question came just in time as we rounded the corner to see my car parked on the side of the road right ahead of us, seeing the car seemed to answer his questions, I had gotten a new car a few months ago, one with a lot of room and seats since I often go on road trips with Seoyeon, Jisoo and Jeongyeon, and they don't pack lite.

Speeding up trying to get to the car faster as to keep us out of the rain, I pressed my keys unlocking the car before running to the back and opening the boot, pulling the door it swung sideways, opening the back, I pushed down one on the seats so the boys could climb over.

I turned to them, and they were all just waiting patiently looking at me, the back seats are smaller than the others so the shortest members would be in the back, that being Jimin, Hoseok and the cat hybrid.

They still didn't move after I looked over to them, so I spoke.

"C'mon, get in. Shortest in the back."

Making hand gestures for them to hurry up they seemed to get the hint as the shortest came forward getting into the back of the car. Jimin was last and he gave me a quick smile before jumping in, I clicked the seat back in place before turning to the others.

"Who's going in the front with me?"

They seemed to look between themselves before Seokjin turn to me.

"I will-"

"I'll go in the front."

I turned to look at Namjoon who cut Seokjin off, the rain was getting worse, and I didn't want to stay out here much longer to not get sick and to get out of the wet. Not wanting to argue, I agreed opening the middle doors before rounding the car and getting into the driver’s seat.

Wiping my face, I could hear the boys shuffling into their seats and slight whispers, the rain was getting really bad now and I couldn't see too far ahead of the car. I looked to my side as I felt the car move and heard the door open, Namjoon hauled himself into the car besides me in the passenger seat, his hair was wet and dripping more water into his lap, my eyes travelled down to his bandages, they were dirty and covered in blood and definitely needed a change. My eyes kept traveling down seeing his bare stomach just below his bandages, wet and covered water droplets from his hair, I quickly looked away realizing I was staring,

I pulled down mirror looking into the back. "Is everyone okay?" I saw a few nods and heard low hums. "Right, well let's go then."

I started up the car realizing I had left the aircon on before changing it to heating, I pulled out of the park and started driving away and towards my apartment. The car had fallen into an uncomfortable silence during the drive, I tried to ease the tension.

"You need your bandages changed."

I stated, not looking at Namjoon but he knew it was directed at him.

"No, I don't, they'll be fine."

"I'll change them when we get there."

I kept my eyes on the road not looking at his, I could feel his eyes glaring into my side after I spoke. Thankfully, he didn't seem like he was going to try and object, he's stubborn but he's not so stupid to not get them changed.

"Where abouts do you live Y/n?" A voice from the back spoke up.

Looking in my rearview mirror saw Jungkook looking back at me, figuring he asked the question I answered.

"I live in an apartment complex not far out from the city."

At hearing my words everyone seemed to tense, and the tension from before was back.

What's wrong? - Oh!

"Don't worry, hybrids are technically allowed."

The tension seemed to ease a bit as we kept driving through the rain to my apartment, occasionally Jungkook would ask question and I could hear them chattering and whispering quietly in the back.

Roommates? (5)

Thankfully my apartment had covered parking so we wouldn't get rained on again, the drive wasn't too long, about 30mins. Pulling into the parking space I turned off the car jumping out and heading to the back and opening the boot again, Jimin moved so the chair could go down before they all piled out.

Once everyone was out, I lead them through the lobby and to the elevator pressing the 16th floor watching the button light up, we were pretty jammed in, eight people, and they were all tall. On the way in we got a few odd looks from staff which changed into fake polite smiles when they realized I had noticed them.

The elevator chimed and the doors opened, stepping out I made my way right making sure all the boys were following me, I had to keep counting to make sure we were all here as I didn't want to lose anyone in the large building. We went down a few doors before we made it to mine, taking out my keys I unlocked the door looking behind me at all the boys before pushing in the door and walking through the thresh hold.

Jimin was the first to follow me in hesitantly followed by the others, turning the corner from the hallway the room opened to the main areas, I placed my bag on to the kitchen bench, thankfully it wasn't too wet, before making my way to the laundry pile grabbing some towels for me and the boys.

Jimin and Jungkook were looking around in awe while the others seemed nervous. "Here." I handed out towels to everyone and put the spares on the bench letting them know they could have them if needed, I gave a quick tour pointing out the basics before collapsing on the couch and closing my eyes, exhausted.

Peeking through my eyes I saw them all looking at me curiously, realizing they wanted permission to sit down I sat up patting the couch besides me.

"Come sit down please."

At my words they all started moving over towards me on the couch, I scooted over a bit to make of the best of the space we had, everyone found a place on the couch or chairs around it, Jimin sat one side of me and Jungkook on the other. Eventually the room had fallen into a comfortable silence, some of the guys drifting off from exhaustion and the comfort of the couch, I would have fallen asleep too if it weren't for my phone.

Jimin was leaning on my shoulder and Jungkook's head was resting on my lap, I was scrolling through social media before I received a weather notification, clicking on it I started reading. The weather app said that the rain would most likely continue for the rest of the week, as a storm was approaching, and the weather would start getting worse in the next day or so.

Well crap...

Slowing moving Jungkook off my lap and repositioning Jimin, I stood up making my way over to my room, if a storm were approaching, I'd have to do some shopping now before it got much worse, I didn't have time for a shower. Taking off my wet clothes I slipped on a hoodie and some shorts, quickly doing my hair in a way that it wouldn’t get in my way.

Walking over to the kitchen counter, I grabbed out my keys stuffing them into my hoodie before turning around. Jimin was standing behind me. "Where are you going?" He asked rubbing his eye, I gave him a small smile spotting Jungkook slowly waking up behind him.

"Ah well, I need to go shopping because there's a storm rolling in." I explained catching Jungkook's attention who was now making his way over to us. "You guys can come if you'd like. I need to buy food, so it would be nice if I could buy somethings, you guys like, we could also get you guys some new clothes while were there." I smiled back at them both.

They seemed a bit unsure at first but ultimately agreed, I gave them both one of my hoodies to get them out of their wet clothes before we headed out.

Roommates? (5)

We had finished doing the groceries the boys letting me know what types of foods they all liked so I could make them meals they’d like, we also picked up some extra bathroom supplies before we headed to the clothing store. Walking in I instructed the boys to find some clothes for themselves and everyone else while I headed to the linen area, having eight people at home, I knew I didn't have enough blankets or even clean towels.

I picked up a few large towels before looking for some blankets, I picked out a few doonas and covers before grabbing some fluffy blankets, I only had two beds at home so we would have to set up the couch for the other boys. By now I had 2 shopping trolleys which was proving quite hard to steer so I was very happy when Jungkook had made his way over to me, muttering a small 'Thank you' I continued getting bedding supplies before meeting back up with Jimin who had gotten enough clothes that I cloud barely see his face behind the large pile. He dropped them into Jungkook's trolley which had all the items from this store, they both gave me a look at seeing how much the trolley was filled but I quickly shot that down with my own look, we had this conversation when getting groceries, they could get whatever they want, when they leave, they can either keep it or I’ll find something to do with it.

"Got everything?" I asked them, looking at the trolley. "Enough clothes for you all?"

"Yep, enough for everyone."

Nodding in approval we went up to the counter and started pulling the clothes up on to it as the lady behind the counter started scanning it all, it didn't take too long before we were heading out the store, asking the boys if there was anything else they needed, we decided all the shopping was done and start heading home.

Arriving at the building we got all the bags out of the car, Jungkook and Jimin took most of them leaving me with just one in each hand.

Walking through the lobby again, the boys behind me, over at the reception I saw Yeonjun who gave me a nice smile and a wave which I returned before turning into the elevator with the boys, Yeonjun was one of the workers here whom I'd gotten to know along with some others.

The elevator dinged as we reach my level the doors opening to see an elderly lady along with another worker, we exited the elevator heading towards my apartment. Grabbing the keys out putting them in the lock turning the door and pushing it open, what was waiting on the other side worried me.

"What the heck?"

A/n: They moved in! I know these first five chapter might be moving a bit fast, but it’ll slow down now. Sorry for the late update, I add extra work today. I love leaving dialogue cliff hangers it adds so much to me, and I can start the next chapter at a sure-fire point too. Also, if it’s feeling a bit Jimin, Jungkook and Namjoon based at the moment, don’t worry! It’s just to get the story started and I plan to give each member their own moments and time with Y/n. If you enjoyed this chapter and are enjoying this series, please like, reblog, maybe leave a reply or even follow if you feel like it, it is much appreciated, I hope you all have a lovely day & Thankyou all for reading! 💜

a/n: sorry everyone, it’s been a while! been busy, but i hope you enjoy reading 🤎

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………

The next couple weeks passed by in a blur, and before I knew it it was almost time for school to start up again. I’m going into my junior year at Seoul National University (sorry, super basic college) and am majoring in Education, as I want to be a teacher like Namjoon. But, unlike Namjoon, I don’t want to teach high schoolers. I want to be an elementary school teacher. (Sorry, I know it’s a pretty big time skip but I wanted to actually get to the college scenes lol)

The boys convinced me (more like begged me) to stay with them for school and said that “Your presence is payment enough!” (Minus Hoseok of course, as we’re still not on good terms for whatever reason) I finally relented after seeing the prices for dorms. Why were they so high for broke college students? Through these few weeks I have gotten to know the boys better.

Namjoon and I have gotten close because of our similarity in careers. We both are avid learners and want to help others learn and have bonded over many cups of tea. I know that I can go to him for any help with my schoolwork, and he says he will come to me for ideas because I am “younger and know what’s hip these days.” We also both love to read and have exchanged books frequently. He is more of a science fiction and fantasy type reader while I adore romance books (again, sorry if you don’t like these types of books). While I admit that his books are fascinating, I still prefer my cheesy, k-drama worthy books. There’s nothing better than us two sitting on my balcony reading all afternoon with some treats Jin or I baked.

Jin and I have become better friends through our cooking and baking. He is a master chef and much better than I will ever be, but it’s still fun to learn from him. It often makes me wonder why he is an actor and not a cook, but people can have more than one avid interest. My baking skills are modest at best, but I do still love to make different types of cookies as my mom taught me and to make cute mini lunchbox cakes for the boys to take to their work for a sweet treat.

More often than not I catch Yoongi looking at my treats longingly so I make more and send them with him to work. He is especially fond of my coffee cookies as I found him secretly eating them as a midnight snack one night. Yoongi and I have a mutual understanding where if we both need to relax for second and just breathe, we’ll seek out each other. I sometimes sit in his studio, just zoning out and giving myself a minute. And he sometimes will come find me in my room and just lay down next to me as I continue watching my show. These moments make me feel content.

Times that I do not feel content are whenever I’m with Hoseok. I genuinely want to at least be acquaintances, but he seems to want to be enemies forever. I try to reach out but every time he ignores me. More often than not he finds some excuse to not be in the room with me. I know the boys have noticed, but they haven’t said anything to me about it. I can only hope that with time he and I will eventually be able to tolerate each other.

With Jimin it has been a little harder to connect, but we eventually got to the point where we are now. While I’m not as close to him as the maknaes or even Yoongi, we still have a good bond. It all started when I asked if I could use the dance studio in the house (rich people, am I right?) for fun. I danced all through high school at a recreational studio and I enjoy it occasionally to keep me exercised. I was stretching when Jimin walked in and asked if he could watch. I was nervous at first but then once I got started I fell into my own world. Jimin applauded afterwards and I bowed, embarrassed. We both then danced together and that’s how our friendship started.

My friendship with the youngest two grew during those couple of weeks. After the shopping trip they decided that we were now a ‘trio of trouble’ and that we were besties. I’ll admit, sometimes I did feel a bit like I was third-wheeling them but for the most part it was great to have genuine friends. Sure, I had friends but they were mostly college friends that I didn’t see outside of school. But with Tae and Kook I felt that I could truly be myself. Endless hours of binging movies, playing video games, and doing stupid challenges/dares kept me entertained until my first day back.

Which is today. I’m not nervous, but I always get a small pit of dread in my stomach. I only have two classes today, Foundations of Education and Psychology (not me stealing these class names off a random college website haha). Foundations of Ed is in late morning, then I have a short break before Psych which is early afternoon. I have these classes three times a week, but they’re my only classes on those days.

I roll out of bed and rub my eyes before grabbing my glasses groggily. I knock on Jungkook and I’s shared bathroom and don’t get a response so I turn the knob and no one’s in there. I know today is also Jungkook’s first day of senior year but I’m fairly certain that he has a class around the same time as me. I wonder why he’s not up yet? Knowing him he overslept. That boy needs to learn to get a better sleep schedule. I lock both connecting doors and then carefully place my glasses on the counter. After showering I hop out, put my glasses on (bad vision is a curse, and this author knows the struggle, trust me, but at least glasses/contacts exist) and after drying off I change.

I put on jean shorts and a pink shirt, and after going into my bedroom I grab my backpack and double check that I have all of my supplies. A couple notebooks, binders, and of course a pencil pouch that’s all stocked up. Notebook paper as well as folders are also neatly lined up. I zip it up and then make my way downstairs.

Namjoon, Hoseok, Jimin, and Yoongi are all at their respective jobs. Jin is taking a break from acting, so he’s mostly here and Taehyung has a shoot later in the afternoon so I know he is also around.

Sure enough, Jin’s cooked me a ‘back to school breakfast,’ which is super sweet of him.

“Thank you so much Jin! You really didn’t have to do this,” I say to him.

“Of course I did! It you and our maknae’s first day back so you deserve a special breakfast,” Jin replies. “Speaking of, where is the little brat? He shouldn’t be sleeping because he has to get ready and take you both to school!”

“He’s still sleeping,” Taehyung says, walking down the stairs.

“Ugh, that kid will be the death of me. I’ll go get him. Eat up!” Jin goes upstairs, mumbling under his breath about how annoying Jungkook is.

I laugh, then sit down with Taehyung and start eating. Taehyung grins his boxy smile and says, “I wonder if Jungkookie will be late on his first day. If he is, I can take you to school.”

“I don’t think that Jin will let Kook be late,” I say, thinking of the father-like eldest.

“True. He’ll probably drag Jungkook by his hair if that means he gets up,” Taehyung says, laughing.

About ten minutes later a weary looking Jungkook and an irritated Jin come walking down the stairs.

“See, this is why you need to be more like y/n! She gets up on time and is actually prepared for school,” Jin scolds.

“Yeah yeah whatever hyung,” Jungkook says sleepily, sitting down at the table and eating a few bites of the now cold breakfast.

“Don’t ‘whatever hyung’ me, you have to promise that whenever you have school you’ll actually be ready,” Jin says.

“Okay fine I promise. Y/n you ready to go?” Jungkook says, standing up from the table and going to get his shoes on.

“Yep,” I reply, going to put on my white converse.

“Bye! Have a good first day!” Jin and Taehyung say as we leave.

Jungkook drives a nice sedan today instead of one of the rich luxurious cars they normally drive.

“Are you excited?” I ask Jungkook, “You’re almost done with school!”

“I’m excited to be done with it,” Jungkook agrees. We pull up and he parks then we get out and get ready to head to our respective classes.

“Well have fun with your Foundations of Ed class. You don’t need a ride home after, right?” Jungkook asks me.

I shake my head. “Nope. I’m going to chill here through lunch until my Psych class then I’ll take the bus home.”

“You know you can call any of us to take you home right? We wouldn’t mind,” Jungkook says.

I know they wouldn’t care but I don’t want to bother them with me.

“Oh, you’re all busy people so don’t worry about it! Here come some of your friends so I’d better go.” There are a couple guys and girls who are walking up to Jungkook.

“Hey Jungkook!”

“Good to see you bro!”

“How was your summer?”

“Who’s this?”

The last question comes from a snobby looking girl. Her inky black hair is up in a high ponytail and she looks at me with disdain.

“Oh, this is y/n. She’s the one who’s staying with me and the boys for a while,” Jungkook says, introducing me.

“Hi y/n, I’m Felix.” He waves at me and I wave back.

“I’m Jackson,” says the next boy, grinning at me.

“I’m Hwasa,” says the girl next to the snobby one.

“And I’m Haneul,” says snobby girl.

“Nice to me you all,” I say.

“So you’re the girl who’s too poor to stay at a dorm!” Haneul says sweetly.

“Haneul,” Felix says through gritted teeth, “That’s not true.”

“I’m sure it is though, Felix. Isn’t that right, y/n?” Haneul now has the biggest fake smile I’ve ever seen.

“Oh, well I supposed so,” I say, deflated at the thought that the boys think I’m just a ‘girl who’s too poor to stay at a dorm.’

“Um, y/n that’s not what-“ Jungkook starts, sensing my change in mood.

“I’ve got to get to class! Bye everyone, it was nice meeting you.” I interrupt Jungkook. Turning on my heel, I swiftly walk away from the group, hearing Haneul whisper under her breath, “I told you she was poor.”

I find my building and classroom and walk in. It’s a decently sized room with partner desks in neat rows. Some students are already sitting in desks chatting with each other.

I find a seat in the back right corner by the window so I can see outside. I can only hope no one will sit by me, but that seems to not be the case as a couple minutes later a tired looking boy asks if he can sit next to me. I say yes and he flops into the seat and lays his head on his arms.

“Oh, by the way my name’s Seungmin,” he mumbles before closing his eyes.

I smile, amused at his tiredness and turn my attention to the professor as she walks in.

“Good morning class and welcome to Foundations of Education. We will be learning the basics of education and teaching in this class. My name is Professor Shin. Now, let’s take roll.” As she starts calling names, I turn my attention to my sleeping deskmate. I wonder if I should wake him up?

“Choi y/n?”

“Here,” I say.

Eventually she gets to Seungmin.

“Kim Seungmin?”

I nudge his elbow but he doesn’t stir. Then I poke him. Hard. This makes his head shoot up and then sees everyone staring at him.

“Oh, uh, here.”

“Mr. Kim, if you could please refrain from sleeping in class that would be much appreciated,” Professor Shin says with an annoyed look on her face. She then continues on with attendance.

“Hey, are you okay? You look super exhausted,” I say to Seungmin, seeing how his eyes are red and have dark circles underneath them.

“I’m fine I just stayed up way too late last night,” he says.

I nod then turn back to the professor, who is now passing out a slyllabus. I take a deep breath then focus for the rest of the class.

After class I bid goodbye to a still sleepy Seungmin and head out to get lunch. There are picnic tables around campus so I grab something to eat then go sit at an empty one. I enjoy the breeze through my hair and the peacefulness of the trees. Until I see someone coming up to me out of the corner of my eye. I look and it’s Hwasa and Jackson.

“Hey y/n, can we sit here?” She asks.

“Sure.”

They sit and pull out their own lunches.

“We’re sorry about Haneul this morning,” Jackson says after chewing and swallowing, “She can be a bit…blunt sometimes.”

“Who’re we kidding Jackson, she’s blunt all of the time,” Hwasa says with an eye roll.

I appreciate these two apologizing for their friend’s action and like them immediately.

“You guys really don’t have to apologize. I mean, I am poor enough to not be able to afford a dorm,” I say.

“Even if it’s true, that doesn’t mean she needs to be so bitchy about it, and besides, dorms are expensive for anyone,” Hwasa points out.

“Can we not talk about Haneul now please? I’m trying to eat,” Jackson complains. Hwasa and I laugh and we change the subject to school and finish our lunches.

“Thanks for letting us join you for lunch y/n,” Hwasa says as we clean up and throw away our trash.

“Of course. It’s nice to meet some of Kook’s friends!” I say, genuinely glad to have made more friends.

“Aww, you called him Kook. Are you two super close? You can tell us. We’ve been his best friends for ages now,” Jackson says.

I want to trust them, so I reply “I guess you could say that. We definitely have gotten closer these past couple of weeks.”

“Ooh, have you now?” I hear a horrible voice behind me. Of course it’s Haneul.

“You see, you may have gotten closer to Jungkook but I’ve known him since he was little. No one knows him better than me,” Haneul says, trying to intimidate me.

It’s true that I still know little about the boys’ background and upbringings, but I am still surprised that Jungkook would hang out with someone like Haneul. The boys also haven’t mentioned her at all.

“You only hung out because your parents were good friends with his,” Hwasa explains with yet another eye roll.

“Are you jealous Haneul?” Jackson teases, enjoying the glare in Haneul’s eyes.

“No, of course not. Why would I be jealous of a stupid nobody like her?”

Wow, straight to the point. I can try to ignore it, but I’m not sure if I can deal with another person hating me. Hoseok is more than enough.

“Excuse me, I need to get to my next class.” I leave as gracefully as I can but my body still reacts to her calling me stupid. I take a deep breath and try to calm my shaking hands and racing heart. Eventually I am calm enough to walk into my next class, but my hands still tremble.

I step into my Psychology hall, a big airy room made for a lot of students. There’s only a couple people in there as I am early because I was escaping from Haneul.

I take a seat near the middle because I want to be able to see the board. Soon the hall starts filling up with students. A girl sits to my left and eventually a guys sits on my right. Neither of them look at me and continue to talk to their friends around them.

The professor comes in, a kind looking man. He introduces himself as Professor Kim (so many Kims) and starts to talk. The class goes by quickly and then I’m free. First day of school done. I make my way out of the crowded hall and back into the sunlight. I check my phone and see that I have a couple missed text from Jungkook.

I’m sorry that Haneul said those things. I know ur not poor and I apologize for her words.

Y/n? Ur probably in class, but I just wanted to remind u that any of us would be happy to take u home after ur last class.

I smile at his Haneul text, but text him back to tell him that no one has to take me home.

I’m a big girl Kook, I can take myself home. But thanks :)

I am about to round the corner of the building when I hear Haneul talking. I stop when I hear that she’s talking about me.

“Honestly y/n probably just wants the boys money. She’s just a gold digger that acted all pitiful and the boys are too sweet to say no to her. I feel bad for her because as soon as the boys figure this out she’s going to be kicked out of their house. Actually that’ll be super funny!”

I hear tittering laughter and turn around to go the other way, eyes slightly glassy. Is this what everyone thinks? That I’m a gold digger? If they think that, then I won’t accept anymore gifts from the boys. Them letting me stay is more than enough and I don’t want them to hear these rumors because it will impact their reputation.

I blink the tears away and then continue to the bus stop. I check my phone to see that Jungkook has texted me again.

Look, I know u can handle urself but I don’t want anything happening to u. Hobi-hyung is free now and I sent him to pick you up. Just this once bc it’s the first day ok? :)

Great. I can’t let Hoseok see me like this. I sniff then blink and make sure I look okay before seeing a car pull up that has Hoseok in the driver’s seat. I text Jungkook back.

Ok just this once but no more after today Kook

I go up to the car and open the passenger door, climbing in to a stoic Hoseok.

“Hi Hoseok. Thanks for picking me up. You don’t ever have to do this again. I told Jungkook I will be taking the bus for the rest of the year.”

“That kid didn’t even think that I have dance today, so I’m taking you to my studio. We can then go home together afterwards with Jimin,” Hoseok says with his usual coldness.

Oh boy. Going to his work? This is great. Just great.

The rest of the car ride is silent except for the light music of the radio.

We pull up to a modern looking building that says Epiphany. I get out and follow Hoseok inside. The receptionist greets us and then Hoseok tells me to wait out here.

“My class ends in an hour and so does Jimin’s. We’ll leave after that so just wait here patiently.” He then leaves and I’m left to sit in the rather comfy chairs. The receptionist smiles at me and tells me to tell her if I need anything.

There are two big glass windows and I can see into the studios. I see Jimin in one of them, leading stretches to younger looking children. I smile as they talk and laugh while doing their splits. I look to the other one and there’s Hoseok leading some college looking dancers in stretches too.

The front door swings open and in walks none other than Hwasa and Haneul.

“Oh my gosh, we’re late! Let’s go before Hobi kills us!” Hwasa says hurriedly, rushing to the studio with Hoseok in it. “Hi y/n!” She calls as she darts last me.

Haneul is in less than a rush than Hwasa. “Oh hello y/n. What are you doing here? Surely you aren’t here for class? Only the best of the best come here.”

“I’m just waiting for Hoseok and Jimin to finish their classes,” I say, trying to be polite even though I heard her hurtful words earlier.

“Oh you can’t even drive? That’s rough. Or is it that you don’t have a car?” Haneul asks with a look of pity on her face.

“I can drive perfectly fine, but I don’t have a car as of right now. Anyways, aren’t you late to your class?” I ask as nicely as I can.

“Oh yeah, guess I’d better head there. Have fun sitting!” Haneul bounces away and I sigh. She’s everywhere, so I guess I better get used to her and her rude words.

I turn my attention back to Jimin’s class. He’s leading the kids through the five ballet positions, walking around and fixing their legs and arms. His cheerful and encouraging smile makes me smile, and I can feel my heart flutter a bit. But, just as every time before, I push it away and remind myself that the boys are off limits. They all have each other and are happy. You’re just going after the first attractive people that you see y/n. And it just so happens to be your housemates. I can’t help that these are the kindest and most beautiful boys I’ve ever seen. They’re strictly friends to me and will stay that way.

I look at Hoseok’s class, seeing that they’re now done warming up and move on to dancing hip-hop and free styling. While most of the class is good, my eye is drawn to Hoseok. This makes sense, as he is the teacher, but for some reason I can’t tear my eyes away. He looks up as he’s dancing and our eyes lock on each other. I quickly look away, my cheeks burning as he probably doesn’t like me staring at him. But then I see that his eyes are turned away too, and there is a hint of a blush on his cheeks. Or it could just be that he’s tired and sweaty from dancing.

After both classes finish, I stand and stretch my arms from sitting for an hour. Hwasa comes out of the locker room and asks me, “What did you think? Were you impressed by my amazing dance skills?”

I laugh and reply, “Yes of course. I didn’t know that you could dance like that!”

“Well, there’s a lot of things you don’t know,” Hwasa teases, “Like how you don’t know that Hobi was staring at you during class?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” I say, dropping my voice to a whisper-yell, “He wasn’t looking at me! He hates me! And he’s dating six other boys!”

“Whatever they all like girls too…Unfortunately I have to go now, but give me your number and text me if any updates happen!” Hwasa swiftly grabs my phone and types her number in it, winks, and then saunters out.

That girl! Thinking Hoseok was staring at me…that’s ridiculous. She’s crazy. But I think that we’re starting a great friendship. And the boys also like girls? That’s new to me.

“Hi y/n! What did you think of our class?” That awful voice again. Haneul.

I force a smile before saying, “It was great! You all are so talented.”

“Why, thank you. I like to think so. I’m sure you’re good at something, right? Even poor people have some use in this world.”

This girl. Honestly, if poor is the worst insult that she can come up with, it could be much worse.

“Look, Haneul-“

“Did you just call y/n poor?” A voice behind us asks. We both look to see Hoseok, standing with his arms crossed and a duffel bag slung over his shoulder.

Haneul smirks, and I know that she is thinking that Hoseok is going to agree with her. She’s probably right.

“Yes, I did call y/n poor. I mean, come on Hobi, we all know that she’s just leeching off of the boys and your money and that-“

“Haneul, even if I don’t particularly like someone that doesn’t mean I talk bad about them and call them names to their face and behind the back. That’s just rude. Don’t be a bitch.”

Haneul is shocked and storms out of the studio.

I turn to Hoseok to thank him.

“Thanks Hoseok. I really appreciate it, and I’m sorry-“

“Stop apologizing. No one deserves to be bullied by others,” he says bluntly.

“Look, can I just ask you one question? Why do you hate me?” I burst out, frustrated because he defended me but still is coldly talking to me.

“I don’t hate you. I just don’t like change,” Hoseok says, sighing.

“Okay, well I just wish that you would’ve told me beforehand. I’m sorry for being change in your life and-“

“God y/n! Stop apologizing!” Hoseok shouts. I avert my eyes to the ground, as this is my usual tactic when someone yells at me. I try not to think of my ex.

I hear Hoseok apologize, low and slow.

Then he says, quieter, “Look, I don’t hate you and I wish that you would stop apologizing for things that aren’t your fault. Let’s get this out of the way; we may not like each other but let’s try to get along for the boys’ sake. Does that sound okay?”

I take a deep breath and nod.

“Sure, Hoseok.”

He does a small smile for the first time at me and holds out his hand.

“Getting along?”

I shake it.

“Getting along.”

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Meeting Kim Namjoon was like fate. Who knew going to a new coffee shop would lead to encountering the adorable dimpled man? Knowledgeable in plants and caring, Namjoon is a warm blanket on a rainy day. Warm smiles and cozy conversations lead to a little bit of flirting too, if you will. Finding out he had a boyfriend, let alone six, made your heart squeeze just a bit. Oh, well, his boyfriends are lucky and you can move on.

Kim Seokjin: handsome man who just so happens to move in next door to you. Endearing and sweet, you bond after giving him some welcome cookies. He then proceeds to make you dinner and then the friendship blossoms. Jin often winks and flirts, but never so much to make you uncomfortable. Is there something there? As it turns out, no. Jin is dating someone, and you can’t help but feel a little frustrated. Why didn’t he tell you he was taken?

A little disgruntled but not completely hopeless, Min Yoongi bumps into your life. Literally. Running after his dog he trips and falls straight into your arms. Blushing and embarrassed he apologizes, soon catching his dog and coming back to talk to you. Offering to go to lunch, you accept. Many more lunch ‘dates’ follow, and soon your heart slips and falls just like Yoongi did the first time you met. But it falls flat as Yoongi explains that his cute keychain was made by his boyfriend.

Slightly heartbroken, you motivate yourself to focus on self-care and not dating. You start taking dance classes, where you meet a cute boy who introduces himself as Jung Hoseok. Not only are his moves smooth, his flirting is also. Pushing down the desire to flirt back, you maintain a friendly relationship, mostly ignoring the winks and smooth talking. But, as it always seems, your big dumb heart gets in the way. As smooth as butter you fall for him. This time hope sprouts because even though Hobi has boyfriends (yes, multiple), he says their relationship is open and they wouldn’t mind dating a girl too. He just hopes someday he can introduce them to you.

Park Jimin comes in one day to pick up Hobi, and that’s when you realize that all other flirting was mild compared to Jimin’s. He’s the little shit who’s always trying to ‘woo’ you. Which at first was awkward, but then Hobi explained that this was one of his boyfriends, and that Jimin would flirt with anything that breathes. To which Jimin pouted but then shrugged and agreed. Jimin’s flirty side is often present, but his soft side is even more adorable.

With you dating two perfect men, your heart is so full but you still feel a bit empty. No, you tell yourself, you’re so lucky to have your Hobi and your Chim, don’t be ungrateful.

Turns out your talks don’t work very well because after going bowling with some friends you meet Kim Taehyung. After offering to buy you nachos you two hit it off. You proudly explain that you’re dating two amazing men, but before you can tell him their names another stunning man comes to get ‘Tae’ as it’s his turn to bowl. A brief introduction and you find out it’s Taehyung’s boyfriend Jungkook. Watching them bowl is the most endearing thing you’ve ever seen. Once in a while Taehyung will flash a grin in your direction, making your heart zing! Oh, what those eyes do to you.

Taehyung, after only meeting up a couple times, considers you and him to be best friends. And because you’re best friends, you’re required to go with him and his hoy boyfriend Jeon Jungkook wherever he wants. Jeon Jungkook is a man infatuate with love. Love for Taehyung. Even though he may look intimidating (intimidatingly hot) with his tattoos and lip ring, Jungkook couldn’t be more of a boba ball. Watching him makes you think chivalry isn’t dead after all. You find it hard to believe that someone could love another more than Hobi and Jimin love you, but here you are.

Hobi and Jimin are the only two dating you, and you’ve always wondered how that works with their other five boyfriends. But, when you ask, they just wave it off, saying ‘Our relationship is very open. We all trust each other and always communicate before making a move.’ Shrugging it off, you bask in their love as long as you can. Until one day they say it’s time for you to meet the rest of their boyfriends.

~

The fateful day arrives. Hobi and Jimin continue to reassure you, but you’re still immensely nervous. To make you comfortable, you all meet at their house mansion.

Twisting the door handle nervously, you step inside, flanked by Hobi and Jimin. Eyes blown wide in shock, you survey the other five men in the living room. All men whom you know. Warm Namjoon, confident Jin, intelligent Yoongi, your best friend Taehyung, and finally, Jeon fucking Jungkook.

Taehyung is the first to run over. ‘You’re dating Hobi hyung and Jimin hyung?!’

Jungkook trails behind, as he always does (a lovesick puppy is the analogy you use), ‘So you’re the mysterious girl they’re dating…’

Hugging Taehyung while still in a daze, you glance around at the other men in the room. How is it possible that you never put the pieces together? Of course these men would love Namjoon so dearly, adore Jin’s confidence, make Yoongi a handmade keychain, relish Hoseok’s sunny smile, give Jimin the attention he deserves, get lost in Tae’s eyes, and baby their maknae Jungkook.

It all makes sense now.

You see Namjoon and Jin give each other a look, Namjoon saying “Jin! Why didn’t you tell me this was the beautiful neighbor of yours?”

You blush slightly, partly because of the compliment and partly because Taehyung was currently clinging to you like an overgrown puppy.

“Can we date you too? Pleeeeeease?” He begs cutely, not fully understanding the implications of that.

“Hey, leave her alone you rascal,” Yoongi says, trying, and failing, to pry Taehyung off of me.

You hear a voice calling your name and you twist your head to look (Taehyung and Jungkook are now holding onto you). It’s Jimin.

“Why don’t you explain the whole thing to us?” Jimin asks, looking as confused as Hobi.

You nod, and slowly walk over to the couch and sit, Taehyung and Jungkook on either side of you.

“Okay, well…I’m not entirely sure how to start,” you explain sheepishly, trying to calm your pulsing heart.

“Just explain how you somehow know all of our boyfriends,” Hobi says, also trying and failing to wrestle the maknaes off of me.

And you do. Starting with Namjoon, you explain how you met him at a coffee shop.

“So that explains why Joon was always sneaking off! Huh, no wonder, no one drinks that much coffee except Yoongi,” Jimin says, earning a small shove from Yoongi.

You then proceeded to tell them that after finding out Namjoon was taken, you had met Jin.

“I brought him cookies and then we started hanging out more often-“

Namjoon bursts out laughing.

“He didn’t even mention cookies! And that’s a surprise because he loves to cook. All he could talk about was how beautiful his new neighbor was,” Namjoon teases.

“Yah! Am I wrong? She’s almost as beautiful as me!”  Jin says indignantly.

Heat flushes to your face yet again and you stare at the ground.

“Guys please, you’re just making her nervous. Let her finish her story,” Hobi chides.

You tell them about how you found Yoongi after Jin, a grin forming on your lips. They all start laughing as you say that Yoongi tripped while running after his dog.

“You-you tripped? While chasing Holly?” The maknaes can barely control themselves, their whole bodies shaking with laughter.

“Look, you don’t get to be like that. I’ve seen you trip when the food arrives,” Yoongi grumbles, small dusting of pink on his cheeks.

He looks so cute, you think. Wait, what?

“Okay, okay. Let’s hear the rest of the story,” Yoongi says, trying to take the attention off of him.

“I think I know what comes next!” Hobi says excitedly.

You feel your heart warm as you recount how you met Hobi and Jimin and then started dating both of them. The boys nod, glad to finally hear the story.

“And then I met Tae,” you say fondly, glancing to the man on your left. His eyes sparkle as you tell the story, starting with the bowling alley.

“Now we’re besties!” Tae says, bouncing excitedly on the couch, “Since we’re already besties, I think we should date!”

“Tae. You can’t just assume that. You have to respect her boundaries and her choices,” Jimin tries to explain.

“I know…but please? Can we at least try it?” Tae begs, looking at me with those dark chocolate puppy eyes.

“We haven’t finished the story yet! I want to hear how you met Jungkookie,” Hobi says pointedly.

“Fine…” Tae whines, earning a chuckle from Hobi.

You share how Tae and Jungkook were dating when you met Tae, so by default you got to know Jungkook. You often went on ‘dates’ with them, third-wheeling at its finest.

“Okay, now we’re done,” Jin says to Tae, “And I think that we all have something we want to ask.”

Hobi and Jimin look at each other, already seeming to know what the question was.

“Okay guys, don’t keep me in suspense. Ask me!” You say nervously, wondering if they were going to ask you to break up with Hobi and Jimin.

“Well…”  Namjoon starts, swallowing nervously.

“We were wondering if you would be interested in dating all of us,” Yoongi states matter-of-factly.

“Hyung! You didn’t have to say it that brashly,” Jungkook whispers loudly.

“Whatever, you all were going to ask it anyway. This way we get a quicker response,” Yoongi shrugs as the boys fall silent, waiting for your answer.

You can barely function at the question. Date all seven of them? You barely feel that you deserve Hobi and Jimin.

“If you don’t want to it’s okay,” Namjoon says, trying to assure you.

Looking at all of their faces makes your heart flip. Namjoon with his dimples (that you want to poke so badly), Jin and his perfect features, Yoongi’s gummy smile, Hobi and his heart lips that you love to kiss, Jimin’s squishy cheeks and crescent eyes, Tae’s chocolate orbs (which you swear can light up the universe), and Jungkook’s cute boba ball qualities.

You smile, having made up your mind.

“I’d love to give it a try.”

Tae hugs you immediately, making you fall back on the couch.

And with that, you could tell that you made the right decision.

a/n: thanks for reading! 💗
