Shapur is such a sweetheart

I am definitely curious how he would reject when Rajendra kills his brother Gadhevi.

I think that he wouldn’t approve it or understand it but he wouldn’t say anything because „he is the king and it is not his business to tell him what is right or wrong.

But I think that he, in the first place wouldn’t have a high opinion about Rajendra and after what he did to his brother (I think it was totally on purpose he never had the intention to spare his brother) Shapur opinions about Sindurahs new king would falling deep deep deep down a black hole. Abd after the event the look that Shapur would gave Rajendra would be ice cold and the interaction would only be on political base.

Y'know what could be fun in Wolfpack AU? The very tense inability to understand each other between the Sindhuran royals and Shapur (and Isfan and Arslan too but they're absent during the Sindhuran arc bc Arslan is still recovering and Isfan didn't want to leave him behind) like... Rajendra or someone could hear about the Gorgan fam and how Shapur rescued his half-brother, an illegitimate child, and a probable threat to his claim, and made him his fucking heir. For Rajendra who has nothing really close to that, he'd find it... weird, to say the least. And Gadhevi actively foils against Shapur in this instance. Not to say of the Sindhuran king, whose name I forgot, whose sons would not get along whereas the two kids Shapur raised (plus a collection of other kids) are thick as thieves.

I don't know, I'm just suddenly having this epiphany.

(This is from Chapter 114; I didn’t catch on to exactly what was being said here at first, I think because the scanlation didn’t specifically use the word ‘Erān’ but that’s definitely what he’s talking about.)

I even looked at the raw because I couldn’t quite believe he was saying this, but it’s true; he uses ‘大将軍’ (commander-in-chief) which is accompanied by the furigana ‘エーラーン‘ (Erān).

From Chapter 27:

Oh man, I am really not happy about this. I mean, I never thought it was a great idea to give this position to Zandeh just because he’s his father’s son (he’s too young and inexperienced for such a role at this time) and Sam is clearly the better candidate, but… Hilmes basically promised this to him and now he’s going to appoint someone else.

I wonder what Zandeh thinks? I get the impression that, if Hilmes is just telling Sam now, he hasn’t spoken of it to Zandeh, but Zandeh’s not stupid. He knows that Sam has a wealth of valuable experience that he doesn’t, and he’s seen Sam’s strategies in action. His initial reaction to Sam joining Team Hilmes definitely reads as a legitimate worry that he’s no longer Hilmes’s most valued subordinate precisely because he recognises there are valid reasons why Hilmes might prioritise Sam over him.

So perhaps he’s already anticipating it and will understand, but at the same time surely it will hurt a bit and that’s what I don’t want to see I don’t want my puppy boy to be sad 😭😭😭
