1. My first impression of them

“Oh that's one prickly lad,” I'm pretty sure. Okay well, I think past!me was kinda justified in that, he was prickly lol.

11. What’s the first thing you think about when thinking about the character?

Not quite a thought but somehow I attach him with a sense of longing that pops up when he's alone— when he doesn't have tasks and jobs occupying his mind. I don't know why, I don't know what he's yearning for, all I know is that it's a quiet, small thing, not the burning or consuming sort (comparatively, the sense of longing I associate with Arslan is more potent— like drowning, that one) but one that's... I don't know. A sense of loneliness. It's like a summer breeze. I want to hug him.

16. A childhood headcanon

Huh, surprisingly there's not much in terms of a solid headcanon I have for his childhood, except that he was... hm, how do I put it, catatonic? shut off and unresponsive? when he first arrived back to Narsus after his parents passed— struck with grief. He didn't know how to deal with that so he shut it off and buried himself in things to do. He didn't want to think about it, so he didn't. I don't know how things will get there but things end up cumulating in a very young Elam absolutely bawling his eyes out in Narsus' arms because damn let the kid act like a kid.

Ooh this are some interesting questions.

2) When I think truly started to like them

Immediately……I first saw him. It was the brief moment when Kahrlan introduced the Marzban at Atropathene. I more like him after the fight with Kubard on the battlefield.

And for a short moment I dislike him after he died……Thanks for that

I must say that I first watched the anime and later read the manga. I am a late blommer when it comes to the heroic legend of Arslan. But when I catched up with the story I even more like him because of the rescue scene in the manga. It love the character even more when I found out that he rescued his little baby brother from the mountains and the death. And I stiln thinking that Shapur is a character with so much opportunities (we were robbed of this opportunities)

4) How many people I ship them with

Not many…….My OTP is still KubardxShapur and I don’t know why but the ship DaryunxShapur is works very well for me

And of course my OC Kayra

So as I say I don’t ship Shapur with many other characters because I think for a relationship he needs another character that can handle his charter traits. On the one hand, that would be Kubard, who keeps challenging him, and on the other hand, Daryun, who brings him down a bit with his way and point of view..

And of course KazaixShapur @tired-reader-writer OC. They both are my absolutely favorite and I adore their relationship so much

24) What do you think is a secret they have that they never told anyone?

Mmmh ok this one is quite tricky…..and I must say that I am not quite sure about this.

Like @innerchorus and @tired-reader-writer I am quite sure that in canon he is not good at swimming but I am not sure if this is a secret.

But I am also sure that he is a fear of heights and that this is something that I wouldn’t tell someone. Imagen Kubard how he would tease him about that.

In my Au he is also afraid of spiders and would keep it a secret.

I found it quite difficult to imagen a concrete fear for him. But I think that the fear of heights would quite fit him. I also think that he is not a good swimmer, like you and @tired-reader-writer, and that he is a bit fearful to go deeper into the water but yeah the fear heights fit him as well.

Yeah he don’t like spiders and Kayra or Isfan need to catch them for him. Small ones are not the big deal but big ones….. his face turns completely white and he freezes and then never takes his eyes off the spider.

To be fair... Kayra is terrified of snakes. she hates everything that has no legs. Stupid that the "bad guy" comes in the form of a snake. XD
