"No, baby."

"But look, I've done research! This guy is perfect for us, he doesn't shed much, easy to train and he's really cu-" you said rambling off.

"Baby I know you've done your research, you even presented a PowerPoint over dinner." He says with a chuckle. "But we really can't right now, I'm going on tour soon and your work hours are long. Puppies need lots of attention and care. You need to feed it and bathe it and walk it everyday. You can't leave a puppy at home alone for a long time. Besides you know I'm not really much of a dog person." He says pulling your closer to him on the couch.

"Hyung what about Yeontan and Bam?" Jimin says with a smirk, provoking their eldest.

"You love Yeontan right hyung?" Tae asks with a pout "and Bam too?" adds Jungkook. Both boys look at him with hopeful eyes.

"Someone dug his own grave." Namjoon says laughing with Hobi.

"Of course I do." Jin tells the young boys with a nod and serious face.

"He hates them!" Jimin says laughing falling off the couch.

"That's what you deserve." Yoongi says laughing at Jimin.

It's been like this for weeks now. You've been trying to convince Jin to get a puppy with you. Even bribed him with naming it RJ, all he responded was "I already have a son named RJ!" which resulted in more laughter from the boys.

Movie night has come to an end at their dorm and it's time for you to go home. Another unsuccessful attempt at trying to convince Jin to get a puppy with you.

"Please think about it" you said with a pout putting on your coat and making your way out, Jin trailing behind you.

" I will baby, call me when you get home okay?" He says giving you a quick kiss.

You hear the boys make gagging noises behind. "Bye boys! I love you all too!" You said laughing looking over Jin's shoulder. You hear a series of "Bye noona!" "Take care!" and "See you soon!"

"Okay bye baby." You give Jin one last kiss and quick hug and leave.

Jin turns back around and sees smiling faces in front of him. He knows you've turned them all against him.

"Just get a puppy with noona, hyung." Taehyung says. "He can stay with my parents and Yeontan when both of you can't take care of it."

"Hyung cmon you know you can't resist noona." Hobi says knowingly.

"You love Bam right? Hyung? Bam?" Jungkook still says with those bambi eyes of his, clearly not letting this one go.

Yoongi gives one look at Jin. "You already got her a puppy didn't you?"

"Adopted him two weeks ago. He's at the training center right now." Jin said with ears turning red quickly and rubbing the back of his neck.

The boys all laugh at Jin. They knew he wouldn't hold out for long. He loves you too much. He would do anything for you. Besides, getting a dog together is a big step in your relationship. You're both responsible for a life now. Jin gave it a lot of thought and came to the conclusion that you were both ready for this. A beginning step towards your future together.

As the night winds down and clean up is done. The boys start settling their ways one by one to their respective rooms.

Jungkook pipes up one more time. "Hyung. Bam. You love him right?"

Jin just looks at the maknae shaking his head.

"Of course Jungkook I do. I love all our dogs." Jin says with a laughing nod, dragging with him the young boy heading towards their rooms for the night.

You didn't know it yet. But you were set for the best Christmas gift ever.
