Please guys, we defeated this shit once, we can do it again. They’re trying to do it now while people are distracted by the holidays and fucking Justice League. As of today, it seems as though there have only been 266,810 calls made to Congress. This is NOT good enough!! MILLIONS of people use the net, and if each one of them took 60 seconds to call and protect it, holy balls do you KNOW how much of a difference that would make??? But noooo, you’re busy streaming an ecchi anime that wont be available to you soon!!!!!

Y'all, this is really getting out of hand. Net Neutrality is really important, and we all need. It.

Let’s go over some facts, shall we?

One, the tags. As you probably know or have noticed, is that whenever you try to follow the net neutrality tag, Tumblr makes you unfollow it in 20 minutes. Yeah, it’s horrible.

Two, college students. What are they gonna do? Pay for that? Please, unless you actually have money to pay for that, college is gonna suck more than usual. Need to type up an essay? Nope. E-Mail your professor? Not today, or ever. Need to do a project that involves the help of a laptop or internet? Too bad. Don’t even try to tell me that “they’re college students, they can pay for it themselves!” Because, please, in my town, you have to pay 50 DOLLARS every fourth of a semester to PARK YOUR CAR. And textbooks won’t help the budget thing either. Can’t purchase them online anymore, can you?

Lastly, ARTISTS AND OTHERS WHO MAKE PROFIT FROM THE WEB. Sure, maybe SOME of them can pay for internet, but their fans and support? Not so much. And the people who can’t afford the internet? They’ll have to get a low-paid half-time job to pay for rent, food, and everything else life has to offer.

WE NEED TO KEEP NET NEUTRALITY, DON’T LET IT DIE.

Basically everything would be ruined:

•Schools would have to pay more to get their resources for teaching (because I know our school system has one [shitty] system that every teacher uses basically as a guideline to what we learn that’s ON THE INTERNET)

•people would have to pay to do their fucking jobs

•no one would have any way to express their opinions openly with people around the world

•no one could get in touch with family/friends that are overseas

•no online help or anonymous (mini) therapy (leading to higher suicide rates)

•some businesses being shut down completely

•etc. etc.

This is so stupid. Why are these people putting their own country in jeprody of collapsing in on itself. Do they not realize that if this goes through and there’s no more net neutrality, society is basically going to collapse and it makes their jobs so much harder. They just want it for the money and aren’t thinking of the consequences that’re going to happen
