you talk in the tags about valthirian arc 2 and how it's different on the switch/steam so I feel the need to inform you that yes, it is different, and this is because it is not ported, it is fully a new game in the series!

idk if you're thinking about valthirian arc: hero school story or valthirian arc: hero school story 2, but both are sequels to valthirian arc and valthirian arc 2. I do agree that I like the art best for valthirian arc 2 out of all the games, but valthirian arc: hero school story is actually pretty good! honestly I think they put a lot more effort into the plot than before and that's cool. I haven't played valthirian arc: hero school story 2 yet but I'm definitely planning to.

also, you can still find valthirian arc and valthirian arc 2 in flash archives! I use flashpoint and the only glitch I've run into for valthirian arc 2 is that it won't let me send students on one specific errand quest (everything else is fine). apparently the 2nd one is also on newgrounds, so you might be able to play it without even downloading something (although there are a lot of comments that suggest it may have issues working well).

the issue with listening to a lot of jpop but not knowing any japanese is mostly that I'll be listening to music and a song will come up and I'll be like "oh it's this song!" and I'll try to remember the name but I am literally mentally incapable of remembering the name because I do not know it and I never have because I cannot read it
