you’d walked along the hallways of your hotel, each step that you took hitting the ground with a soft thump as your jacket nearly stuck to your figure.

you’d just completed your semi-final match and you were exhausted, the tiredness evident in the way you’d moved. your track pants trailed behind you on the floor, you’d sized up so that they’d fit loosely instead of snug.

the words shiratorizawa & captain were proudly displayed alongside your back, spanning out on your jacket. if anyone had seen you right now, they’d have thought you lost.

but you’d won. you’d brought your team so far into this tournament. each and every year you’d return, hopeful. only to have your dreams crushed time and time again. but this year would be different.

it was your second year, and you were so ready to put a national title under your belt.

some could say a victory snack was well deserved, and that’s where you were currently headed.

the vending machine at the bottom of the stairs was nearly empty, something out of one of those 2000’s slideshows perhaps. and yet all the snacks were still updated regularly, it was just the fact that they were so convenient that they sold out quickly.

a boy was in front of you, tapping his foot as if he couldn’t decide what he’d wanted.

two beeps were heard as the last two jelly sticks in the machine hit the ground, you sighed.

he’d looked back at you. then at his jelly sticks. then at you.

“my bad.” he’d said, a shy smile on his face.

“s’okay.” you’d reassured him as he walked off.

you’d eyed the machine. what little snacks it had left. all of which you deemed unappetizing as you sighed and turned around, defeated.

he’d snuck up on you as you yelped.

“you want one?” he asked, holding out a grape flavored stick, the other one he’d bought was currently open and it was obvious he was halfway through eating it.

“shit! you can’t just sneak up on someone like that!”

he shrugged.

“but yeah. thank you.” you’d grabbed the outstretched stick, opening it as he watched you intently.

“so..” he’d said, you were both standing in a hallway leaned up against opposite walls.

“so.. what school do you go to?” you asked, taking a bite out of your snack.

“inarizaki.” he’d taken the last bite of his stick, crinkling up the trash.

“ah. you guys are staying on the fifth floor, right?”

“yeah. room 506.” he’d answered. it’d be easy to kidnap this guy.

the conversation was cut short, a guy with untoned blonde hair had stolen him away.

you didn’t have a match scheduled for the next day, but something about the guy from last night intrigued you. so when you’d seen that his school was playing against karasuno, you couldn’t help but attend the game.

he wasn’t just good, no he was great. to top it all off? he’d seen you in the inarizaki stands, cheering your heart out whenever he’d scored.

so when his team lost, you couldn’t help but feel bad for the guy.

he’d returned to his hotel room, angry and confused.

and he was met with a 10-pack of jelly sticks with a sticky note on top of them.

“sry about the loss. :(“

your phone number was scribbled on the bottom.

he may have lost the game, but he’d won you.

hair dye!

kirishima would accidentally use your favorite oversized sleeping shirt to wear while dyeing his hair.

you would later find the shirt, discarded in the laundry basket, with deep red stains along the collar and spotting down the sleeves. you would think with how long he's been dyeing his own hair, he would learn not to make a mess.

that's ok though. he thinks you look better with the shirt off tonight anyway.
