I thought I was doing ok with quarantine but then I realized I’ve started thinking of the people buried in my old village graveyard as my “friends” because I visit there so often... It may be time to rethink my definition of “ok”

dear fellow non-Black queers,

please remember: stonewall was a riot.

it was 5 days of violent demonstrations against the police led by Black queer and trans people.

now, we need to join the fight against racially motivated police violence.

lgbt+ people, we are obligated to stand with #Blacklivesmatter.

if you don’t support the current riots, don’t bother celebrating pride either.

shelley in light of recent events i think this is really important police brutality isn't just brutality it's murder and i don't hate the idea of people who work to enforce the law but racism is so deeply ingrained in americans' minds and innocent poc are harmed by police too often and it needs to stop
