That Day - George X Reader
That Day - George x Reader
Second part, let’s go.
Genre: well, a teensy it angsty, but I prommy it’s better than last time KDHKDJH its just them talking abt what happened
Warnings: none, I think. If I miss any, don’t be shy and let me know!
Characters: Georgenotfound, Y/N
“Hey.”
“Hi.”
It’d been... well, a while since Y/N and George had seen each other. Too long. Y/N had been staying with their family for a while after their breakup with George, and George had slowly devolved to leaving the house a mess while thinking about how he could rearrange his schedule and find a way to win his ex back over. Y/N had been doing fine albeit being upset, while George had felt a bit pathetic about his lack of efforts.
“Coffee?” Y/N offered, motioning for him to sit down and get a coffee with them. The shop was pretty quiet, and it was mostly due to the fact that it was fairly early in the morning.
George nodded quietly, sitting across from them. He tapped his fingers on the table, looking for the right thing to say.
“George?”
He looked up, confused and startled. Y/N laughed, and he melted. He laughed as well. Looks like he’d spaced out and hadn’t heard a thing Y/N had said. He felt silly, his face reddened slightly as a result.
“Sorry, I guess I didn’t hear you. Repeat that for me?” He smiled, shaking his head at himself.
“I asked if you wanted a menu. They’ve always got something good for specials if you wanted to get lunch too. I’m personally getting the sandwich special and some sort of coffee. I’ve picked up a bit of a caffeine addiction,” Y/N said.
“Sure. I’ll take a menu.” His ex-partner hands over their menu, and he quickly scans it. He would just get what they were getting, since he’d never been to this specific place before today. Which reminded him, where was Wilbur? He’d been the one that invited him to this place, yet he was nowhere to be... ohhhhh. That makes sense.
The waitress comes over, takes their orders, and scurries off.
“So how have you been, George? I hope you’ve been well. I heard from a friend that you kinda... hit a slump when I left. I’m sorry if it was because of...” They trail off, grimacing slightly. That had been a pretty low point for both of them.
“Ah, yeah. After you left, I kinda realised I had been spending a lot of time online. I had to find some sort of balance between the real world and my online time.” He rests his arms on the edge of the table and shrugs. “But yeah, I did find myself in a slump. It sucked.”
Y/N nodded, looking back on that day. It was so sudden. “Yeah. I was at a low for a while. My family was as kind as they could be when I suddenly intruded back on their lives.” They smiled.
Although neither wanted to talk about it, it was probably best to get it out of the way. Had they not talked about that day, they’d likely feel guilty the rest of the time.
Their food and coffee was brought swiftly to their table.
“Hey,” George mumbled through a bite of sandwich, “after this, do you want to go hang out somewhere? A park, a walk around town, whatever feels right? I think we’ve got a lot more catching up to do.”
“Sure, George. I think that would be nice.”

Summary: Phil reads Techno’s will and you’re surprised to find yourself included. Genre: light angst but it has a good ending Warnings: nothing really Pronouns: they/them Note: another quick techno thing bc phil reading his will really did it for me </3 (also bc im probably gonna be dead for a little while so this is my apology)
"I'm reading his will."
"Oh."
The somber mood made much more sense now; the smile on Phil's face that didn't quite reach his eyes. His knuckles were white around the spine of the leather bound book, trembling lightly from morbid anticipation or old age, you couldn't say.
The older man pushed the brim of his hat further up his head, revealing more of his face- the dark circles under his eyes. Though he had smiled and laughed in jest when his friend had made it back, he couldn't hide the toll his disappearance had left.
For an aging man, affectionately called "too old" by most of the Syndicate, Philza was certainly adept. He was still capable of flying long distances and doing his own farm work.
Yet, the parts of his old age shone through in smaller ways. Like how he had misheard Techno and left the piglin hybrid in prison for three months instead of three days.
You could tell he felt bad, the wringing of his fingers fiddling with his clothing as Techno had spoken to him that day was something you picked up on.
Phil moved over to the podium, setting down the book, sighing deeply.
You didn't like to think about Techno dying. How could you when the man would boast about how easy it was to evade the greedy claws of death? You even came to question his mortality.
His will in front of you shattered the very foundation of the wall you had built, between you and the prospect of his death. Suddenly, it was real. Suddenly, it was so real, you felt the rapid thrum of your heart begin to speed up, a pounding behind your skull.
You lost your footing slightly as the world seemed to sway.
Phil turned to you, lips pursed with concern, "You don't have to be here, I won't make you." "I want to see."
He seemed reluctant to let it go, but ultimately agreed to, opening the cover of the book.
"If this is being read, I guess the Lady of Death finally caught up with me," Phil read as your palms became clammy. "I knew this day would come, the voices could only scream "TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES" for so long."
The Brit's voice faded into background noise as you stood behind him, your breathing too uneven for you to convince yourself that you'd be fine.
Techno wasn't dead. But he could have been.
You spent a moment with your eyes closed, thoughts drifting to the night it took for you to latch yourself onto Techno. It was pathetic, really, but he had shown you kindness when you had needed it most.
The snow crunched under your boots as you stood atop the hill, gazing at the stars that twinkled above as the wintery air nipped at your face.
Truthfully, you missed home.
You had joined the Syndicate in a desperate attempt to find a family amongst the rubble that was left behind after the disaster that ruined L'Manburg.
Phil was eager to take you in, remembering your name from Wilbur's letters to him. In a way, you felt he saw his dead son when he looked at you.
And then there was Techno, who wasn't particularly warm to you, but he wasn't averse to you either.
You tried to fit in, but the disconnect was strong. Phil and Techno worked because they were established. Your introduction threw off the delicate balance both men had mustered into their centuries old friendship.
You missed the ease that came with L'Manburg.
As you stated at the distance of snow covered land in front of you, you considered running away.
"You should come back inside."
With a jump and a sharp exhale, you turned to face Techno. He was huddled under his thick cape, one you wished was around you as the biting cold seeped in through your coat.
He must have read your mind as he moved to place it over your frame, the weighted material pulling down your shoulders.
"Come on," he grumbled, grabbing your nearly frost-bitten hand in his, his warmth immediately comforting your fingertips.
You followed him blindly, the yellow lanterns hanging in front of every cabin blurring into a large mass of light as tears filled your vision.
God, this was embarrassing. You were crying like a homesick child.
When he finally pulled you through the threshold, into his cabin, you had let your resolve crumble. Techno cleared his throat to ease into conversation, struggling to find a way to comfort you.
"Why'd you go out?" "I missed home," you muttered between sniffles.
He was silent for a while, you wondered if he felt guilty for being at least half responsible for the destruction of your country.
Techno sighed eventually, his large hand landing on your shoulder as he pulled you into a hug. His arms nearly suffocated you with the sheer strength of his hold. The wind whistled outside filled the silent spell that fell over you both, and he let you dry your tears into his shirt.
"I can't promise that this'll feel like home," he said and you nodded haphazardly, "but I'll try to make it a home—or more like a home for you."
You couldn't remember when you had fallen asleep, or how you had ended up in your bed, but you were grateful for that night.
Slowly, Techno began adjusting to your presence and eventually, he began to appreciate it too. He would never admit but he’d often find himself seeking you out.
In many ways, you began to appreciate him as well.
Your eyes snapped open when Phil read your name off the will, the memory that resided behind your eyelids fading away as you situated yourself with the present once more.
"Tell (Y/N)," Phil began and you felt your heart race.
A tragic confession sounded just like him, but still, you expected to be left with some small trinket of his.
"That I love them, because they are love."
You couldn't hold back the ugly sob that ripped from your throat.
And when Techno stepped into the room, brows raised from the bittersweet feeling that pressed down on him, you nearly screamed.
How dare he?
His ruby eyes flickered over to his will resting on the podium and suddenly, he understood your anger.
"So you read it," he said, more to you than to Phil. "How could you?"
For a moment, Techno wondered if his feelings were unrequited. Had he misjudged you all along?
His hesitation only upset you more, “So only in death could you have admitted how you felt? Only after you’ve left me alone would you have wanted me to find out?”
Techno wasn’t used to apologizing, he’d never felt the need to. He was in the right, most times anyway. Yet as he stood in front of you, he couldn’t stop the guilt from clawing at his insides. He hadn’t meant to hurt you. He wanted to say as much, but confusion clouded his mind. He didn’t want to say anything until you revealed how you felt about him too.
“Techno,” you breathed, having calmed down a bit since your initial outburst, “every night I sat in bed and wondered what we had between us.”
“I didn’t want to wait till I was gone,” he grumbled and if you hadn’t been so emotional, you would’ve thought it was cute. “It just worked out that way.
You wanted him to move, to hold you in his arms like he did that so many nights ago. Likewise, Techno wished he wasn’t so afraid to hold you.
When it seemed like neither of you had anything more to add, Phil quietly closed the book and tucked it away under his arm, walking out of the room in a rush. You could imagine why- it was awkward.
You stared at Techno for a while longer, trying to convey through furrowed brows and a slight frown that you had wanted him to do something more. He blinked back at you, seemingly clueless.
“This is useless,” you muttered, tugging the ends of your coat closer to your chest, deciding to leave the room as well.
If Techno had been good at guarding his emotions before, prison must have changed that about him. Perhaps, he was just comfortable enough around you to let you see right through. His resolve crumbled when you walked towards the door and you weren’t the least bit surprised when his hand caught your wrist.
“Stay with me.”
You looked up at him, searching his gaze for a reflection of everything you had come to feel for him, swimming in the scarlet red of his irises.
“Okay,” you agreed, letting his hand slip into yours.

Colour Me Blue - Eret
Listen, I have never written Eret except the headcanons I used to do. I’ll do some more headcanons soon. Also for this piece I’m only going to use they/them for Eret but in the future I’ll mix it up more.
Inspiration is Colour Me Blue by Akane (listen to it, it’s very good /nf)
Genre: I needed fluff after some of the angst I’ve written (whoops totally don’t have angst ready for posting tomorrow or day after)
Warnings: none I think. If I miss anything, don’t be shy and let me know!
Characters: Eret, Y/N
“You know you’re wonderful, right?” Eret looked over to their partner, Y/N, smiling from ear to ear. The two were sat outside together, watching some clouds.
“Yes.” Y/N laughed softly, before continuing. “You tell me every day. Lately I’ve believed it. The longer you go telling me, the more I’ve actually believed you. Crazy how that works.”
Eret’s smile only seemed to grow. “Like hypnotism,” they joked, “although, jokes aside, I’m really glad. You deserve to feel good about yourself. You deserve to be happy, Y/N.”
“So do you.” Y/N looked to Eret, tilting their head and drawing their knees to their chest. “You deserve it just as much as I.”
“I am happy.”
The two smiled fondly at each other, then laid down to look up at the sky, which was slowly bleeding oranges and reds. The end of the day was slowly approaching.
“You know,” Eret spoke, breaking the sweet silence, “we spent so long dancing around the fact that we liked each other.”
Y/N thought for a long time, the silence stretching on but in no uncomfortable sort of way. That was true, the two had liked each other for so long, yet it was only recently that they realised it.
“Yeah. You’re right.” The two shared a quiet laugh, before the silence took over again. The clouds took on a pinkish colour as the day’s end crept through the sky, reaching as far as it could go, before finally the darkness swallowed the warm colours, which gave way to night. Stars poked through the darkness. Still, the two watched the sky.
Y/N rolled onto their side to look at Eret, who still stared up at the sky. What luck Y/N had to be able to be this way with them. To bond like this.
As they lay there, all Y/N could think was, We should do this more often.
“I’ll make more time for this kind of stuff.” Eret looked over.
Mind-reader.
