My final point is… ship and love whatever ships and characters you want. Most people don’t give a shit, and those that do are just mindless adults who think they are better than everyone. (newsflash, fandom is always changing and evolving. Get over it). I think it’s wonderful to have so many ships and variation in our fandom, I love exploring all these rare pairs and reading about them.

Okay, I need someone to explain this to me. So I saw this fanart of percabeth on Pinterest, and annabeth was black, and percy was black haired. And people in the comments were going bananas about how artists shouldn't 'swap' them?? I don't get how people are comparing book and TV versions of percy and annabeth. Both percys are white, with the only difference being their hair colour. HAIR COLOUR! Annabeth, on the other hand, had a whole ass race change! why is it so wrong to draw annabeth with however the artist wants her to look like? and let percy be whichever one. Trust me, we're not losing any representation because he's blonde or black haired. it's all still freaking precabeth. God, just let artists draw what they want.

Sure, but then again, who tf cares about canon? Not me. Canon is so shitty that it would've made me hate every single character of this era (or at least not love them as much as I do now). And honestly I don't think he can be 'canonically' anything too. Since like you said there is very little mention of him someone could say he was a 5 foot little gremlin with green dyed hair that walks around, biting peoples knees for fun and you wouldn't be able to argue that from a canon point. He could've been anything! And not just in an AU. That's the beauty of regulus black. No restrictions at all.

One thing I loved about the movie Promising Young Woman is that Cassie isn't out for blind revenge, she's trying to make the people who were involved in her friend Nina's case realize the consequences of their actions: Like their ex-friend (who not only ignored Nina and told her that she put herself on in that situation because she was drunk), the Dean (who believed Al, their perfect rich student, before the victim despite the evidence), the lawyer (who helped the culprit get away with harassing the victim)....

Cassie does not simply take revenge. She confronts them first, and it's only when they renege on what they did and make excuses that she gets her revenge on them (and her revenges are meant to put them in Nina's shoes, but never EVER doing them irrevocable harm because, first of all, she's not like them, she'll never become what she hates).

However, and something I love, is when she goes to the lawyer. The lawyer who is sorry for all his cases, who knows what he did wrong, who remembers the names of all the victims whose lives he destroyed, and who he will never forgive himself. To that lawyer Cassie forgives him, because Cassie is not a monster, and Cassie forgives him because she knows he will never forget his mistakes. Cassie doesn't need to teach him a lesson, because he learned it himself.

And when, in the end, Cassie sends him the phone with the evidence, she knows he'll get justice for both of them. For Nina and for Cassie.
