The T stands for Thee Horrors

A clearer look at my look for part 1 of Heart: The City Beneath, streamed on Actual Play UK the other week. In @merelyroleplayers I'm just a voice – since this game is on camera I thought I'd make more of an effort and try to match the feel of the setting!
The bracer is by Skinbound on Etsy; and I marshalled my extremely basic makeup skills into something that ended up too subtle for the camera, especially compared to Fiona and @maddyisabstract, who are, to be fair, consummate pros.
Lessons learned, and if you tune in for part 2 next Friday 8 March, you'll actually be able to tell I've done something with my face 😄

fanfic writers might prefer the cozy setting of a coffee shop because there’s a baseline familiarity, so characters’ interpersonal dynamics, rather than the minutiae of the setup, can be explored.

Shujun (Gwen) Liu | Queen Guinevere
from @camlannpod, which I have been obsessing over - this mental image of Gwen with this myth looming over her, haunted by her Name and the role it cast her in but unable to let go of it, grimly dragging herself forward, was the one that set me off on this art kick.
an Actual Play podcast where they do 20 versions of every d20 roll, for every possible outcome, then as you’re listening the outcome is randomly selected for you, creating branching narratives whereever the outcome is different enough to cause the players to make different decisions
the funniest thing about ttrpgs is that you can create a guy and say "his name is blorbo bleebus. he sucks severely. i hope that many misfortunes befall blorbo bleebus. he does not deserve to be happy." and at least one of your friends will immediately jump in to say "noooo... don't bully blorbo bleebus... i love blorbo bleebus..."
