Fanfic Writers Might Prefer The Cozy Setting Of A Coffee Shop Because Theres A Baseline Familiarity,

fanfic writers might prefer the cozy setting of a coffee shop because there’s a baseline familiarity, so characters’ interpersonal dynamics, rather than the minutiae of the setup, can be explored.

Step one: Identify a musical theatre nerd. No, not you.

Step two: ask them how many minutes are in this year?

Step three: wait for them to take a deep breath.

Step four: remind them it’s a leap year.

Step five: watch as math and scansion collide head on.

Now streaming

A selfie of Matt by Matt. Mid thirties, white, with buzzed dark hair. Wearing a loose linen shirt and a spiked red leather bracer on one forearm, and clear-rimmed glasses. You can just about make out a kiss of eyeliner and a heart-shaped application of red lipstick.

A clearer look at my look for part 1 of Heart: The City Beneath, streamed on Actual Play UK the other week. In @merelyroleplayers I'm just a voice – since this game is on camera I thought I'd make more of an effort and try to match the feel of the setting!

The bracer is by Skinbound on Etsy; and I marshalled my extremely basic makeup skills into something that ended up too subtle for the camera, especially compared to Fiona and @maddyisabstract, who are, to be fair, consummate pros.

Lessons learned, and if you tune in for part 2 next Friday 8 March, you'll actually be able to tell I've done something with my face 😄

Heart part 2: 8th of March, 8pm UK/2pm Central, at twitch.tv/actualplayuk

Have you played WRECK THIS DECK ?

Have You Played WRECK THIS DECK ?

Wreck This Deck is a dark urban fantasy game of solo journaling, demon summoning and deck crafting. Summon and bind demons into your Demon Deck, defacing the cards as you go.

(Poll Runner Note : God I want to try this game, but I can't bring myself to buy a new deck. Plus I am really bad at art and crafts)
