Lil Details on Vamp!Ori

Ori is really defensive around her home and her garden.

Ori sees her maker as her adoptive mother. (YOU WILL MEET HER LATER)

Ori’s an orphan. Her house was inherited.

Ori has a really dirty mind. It gets worse around Songbird

Ori will be in the middle of a short task, get distracted and finish another, longer task. For example, she would be going through her files on her computer, and the next thing you know, the whole house is clean.

When Ori was human, She liked to bite her best friend, her becoming a vampire was kind of inevitable.

(Her maker had this problem too with ori, but she trained her to resist.)

Ori will hype herself up before an event

Speaking of events, Ori regularly tries to avoid big crowds. Crowds make her nervous.

Ori likes making playlists for those she loves.

After “Meeting A Goth Vampire on the Boardwalk,” She proceeded to make a playlist for Songbird. She knew then and there. (A.N. I ACTUALLY HAVE PLAYLISTS FOR BOTH OF THESE GOOBERS. If you want them let me know!)

Your mutuals in a zombie apocalypse?

Im telling u rn I had to analyze this shi bc I didnt know what it was asking at first😭

@deviantaj (rip) — Went AWOL first day, survives, somehow made it across the world

@e0sphorus — Also went AWOL however did not survive solely bc he didn’t move around a lot and got caught in a herd

@themeridian — Stayed with the group, seems like team morale and emotional support, however dies to a disease because someone* keeps using the medicine

@scopekale — Stayed with the group, and smuggled their own solo supplies in, doesn't share, but also barely uses the group supplies. Survives.

@battygutz — Joined the group midway, gunslinger, almost gets killed like 17 times, but somehow, somehow survives by dumb luck.

@mhmmaybe — Lowkey the type to stay in one spot and give handouts to passing survivors, prolly owns a farm or sumthin. Doesn't have lots of trouble with zombies, survives alone

@justaclownwholikesducks — low pain tolerance + screams randomly + easy to scare = dies first 4 months I don't make the rules

@vind3miat0r — Does this thing where they leave the group randomly and no one notices but when they come back they come back with LOOT, dies on an expedition and ppl started to notice

@hammerhead-jpg — Idk why but he seems like the type to live within a community with walls and food n stuff. Miiiight survive depends if someone feels like destroying it. Wonder who 👀

@mrsmiagreer — Lowkey always gives a caring feel so they're one of the 2 doctors on this list, makes sure everyone's as healthy as possible, prefers melee...dies to malaria

@gumballrightfoots — Gives off bandit vibes that steals supplies from other survivors, but based off stealth and not brute force, survives

@mokozroach - Feels like one of those survivors where all they really want is food. No shelter, no proper hygiene (since that need turns into a luxury in the event of an apocalypse), they might even try that trick where they dress up in zombie guts and vibe with the herd. When the winter comes? …Maybe they die to the winter eventually, or scurvy, whatever comes first

@starlightreader - In the group without ppl remembering they’re in the group half the time, and it turns into a vind3miat0r situation where they’ll stay behind in some cases to enjoy scenery or search places longer for more loot and it’s a rare case ppl notice. Survives to join a community and leaves the group

@cyc-chilla - *Is the person who takes all the medicine bc he’s dedicated to surviving ts, resorts to quiet weapons to avoid sound, honestly an equal opportunist scavenger and protector with slight Clementine vibes, can’t tell if you survive or not

@boees whered boee go wtf

Boee - The second doctor on the list that doesn’t deal with the killing zombies schtick at all, if you get bit this is the person you want to be amputated by 🙏🏾 Dies to internal bleeding

@annahxredaxted - Leads a cult/community running water, food, and safety. Ik cult makes it sound sketchy but who’s gonna question her💀 You know what happened to Prescott in The Walking Dead Game Season 3? Yeah that happens to her community, dies to a zombie bite

@prince-damien-of-darkness - One of those people who follows a herd, far behind enough that the herd doesn’t notice, and does it so that when the herd reaches people, they wait till the herd leaves and grabs the stuff the people left behind in a hurry. Might go far enough to use zombie guts to disguise as a zombie and join the herd temporarily. IF they do disguise as a zombie they die to a gunshot, if they don’t they survive long enough to leave the country and find a safehouse

This ask and post has been in my drafts for 6 months as I tried finishing this, Nai doesn’t even remember this ask. If you wanna be added bc I lowkey forgot all my moots just ask dont be scared at all🙏🏾

please please please give your alexis, will and fred/bright hottakes you promised :((((.

(good luck lol this fandom is wild x)

Oh god, anon. You want me dead? (long warning + sorry this took so long)

Let me start with the least controversial. I will forever be a Bright defender. I was actually there when the audios were still on youtube, and I remember how absolutely awful everyone was to them. Primarily Sam. He was an absolute asshole to Bright. He let Fred turn them without their consent, was completely cold and condescending when explaining their vampirism to them, and then pulls a dead-beat dad. I can't lie, it's really coloured how I see him, even if the audios aren't canon anymore. I can't listen to anything with him in it without thinking, 'you abandoned Fred and Bright, hello?' 🤨. It's shitty. I do not respect him for that. As, by technicality, both of their maker's, he should be doing more, and I wish that was brought up. Bright needs justice. Fred too.

Fred is kind of forgettable to be honest. I liked him well enough, but I can't really remember anything notable about him beyond he loves Bright and is pissed off by them in equal measure. Relatable. Wished we could've seen more.

Right, into sticker territory now. William. There's so much to say. I love this man, but I do have genuine reasons I swear. I'll try to keep it as short as possible, because I really could go on forever.

From day one, I knew he'd been through a lot. Being turned in 1519, in France of all places, is no doubt led to a violent life. The lovely @themonotonysyndrome made a very good point that the quote 'no-one will know how much violence it took to become this gentle' sums him up very well. He killed his own maker after a year of severe abuses. He's always been about that action.

When the Summit happened, I was more shocked at the fandom's reaction than at Will's capacity to kill and be backhanded. He's a 500-year-old vampire king guys. Have you never read vampire literature? What did you think he was doing? Playing tea-parties with the vampiric elite? Dress up? Reading the vampire Lestat would give some of you a stroke, if this is really how we're acting.

He is a very grey character, and the fandom really just isn't equipped for that nuance. Another thing we all seem to forget, but every audio is biased to the speaker, so when Sam says something like 'William stole Vincent's life,' it's opinion, not gospel. William and Vincent don't see it that way, but Sam does due to his own experiences. That's fine, but we should recognise his bias. It's only natural. Just as we do Will's.

What gets me, is that people overestimate what's a plot with Will and what isn't. Sam says William plans interactions for the greatest net gain. That everything is planned, cold and meticulous. There's certainly truth in this, but Sam is also very biased against Will, here. Will isn't pure reason and logic. He lets Vincent and Alexis get away with literal murder and broke his own vow to never have progeny out of the heat of the moment for them. It's an emotional decision, same with taking in Porter—Will sees himself in him. They have the same backstory. It's empathy. Not entirely, I'm sure. There's definitely gain to be had in more allies, but...so? He's a king. He needs to think like that.

To me, Will acts with a mix of cold logic and emotion. Love is the death of duty, and he's learned to switch off his emotions when need be to stay alive, as Vincent mentioned. As we all know 'beware of an old man in a profession where men usually die young.' He is alive for a reason. He thinks long-term and, as a player in a ruthless game, can't always be a sweet father figure trying to appeal to all when lives are on the line. When push comes to shove, he will hunker down to protect his own. As most would. Frankly, this shouldn't have even surprised Sam or Vincent.

To shut myself up, I think he's such a wonderful breath of fresh air as of right now and I am hoping that Mr Redacted doesn't ruin him by making him a one note villain who's manipulated every interaction he's ever had. It would be so boring and such a waste of a great character. Let characters be morally grey and conflicted (and let us fuck that old man). For plot. Of course.

Now the part that I'm most scared for. Alexis. Thanks for this ask anon, by the way, watch me get swatted.

I understand her. I really do. I was chatting with a mutual who likes her, trying to understand it and I've come around, if reluctantly. I still don't like her, but I get Sam's turning on an emotional level. We all like to pretend we have perfect morals, but if your lover was dying next to you after a car accident and you had a failsafe to save them, can you say you wouldn't use it? Yes, Sam said he could save himself, but I'm talking about panic, not rational thought. It's still not okay, and I will never support non-consensual turnings, but I understand her freaking out in the moment. It's terrifying for both of them.

My point is, she didn't turn him out of malice. She's an asshole, undisputed. A lot of that is embarrassment, I'm sure. Rejected by many, she builds walls to protect herself instead of risking vulnerability and starting the long process of knocking them down. She's not going to admit she's wrong now. It's too late. She'll double down instead of opening up, because she's selfish and it's easier. It's so, so very interesting. I really like it. I'd love some closure between them. The maker/progeny bond is strong, so I don't see how they can ignore each other forever.

In my mind, these are all very surface level takes, but I've had people tell me to kill myself because I said I liked Will (because Sam said he assaulted Vincent apparently??) so I know how this fandom is. All I'll say is, if you can't appreciate moral complexity in characters like Bright, William and Alexis without frothing at the mouth, you're:

Boring as fuck

The reason we lost the most goated listener ever in Bright (the biggest lost in redacted history)

Severely lacking in media literacy

So if you take anything away from this post, it's that just because a character hurts Sam (or any of your faves), does not mean they deserve death, or instantly become terrible, irredeemable monsters who are capable of going scorched earth because they did something bad once. Why is it always Sam lmao? His stans are wild.

This is why we lost Bright. Remember what they took from us. Appreciate nuance and tysm for the ask anon.
