By jove, have you no whimsy in your heart! I'll bet that if you were a linguistics nerd you'd be a prescriptivist. If it feels right and brings one joy, why call it fake? Why slander such magnificent things as trees and crabs, whose only crime is life beyond human rules?

First off: Those are not by any means the only corvids. There's also rooks (lil guys, usually), magpies, jays, and probably more I'm unaware of.

Second: If I must limit myself to either crows or ravens, I would prefer crows. They're more social, and that allows more opportunities for them to demonstrate intelligence and empathy.
